The kids were parked in front of the TV. The ad with the penguin came on. 'Dad, can we get a penguin?' 'We can't son. Penguins can't live in flats.' 'Dad, can we have a garden?' 'We can't son. Gardens are for houses. We live in this flat.' 'Dad, can we get a tree like that?' 'We can't son. That tree is too big for our flat.'

Dad muttered under his breath 'Fuck you Monty.'

The plastic tree in the hot press would be dusted down and brought out next week.
