Am I the only one who adores aus in the fallout fandom? Whether I make my own or I see others aus, it just brings me so much joy for some reason.

For example, I have my own au for the legion where they’re just— completely redone. They have well built areas such as chapels and other buildings for people in power, rather than the tents they all live in. Priestesses are common, there’s things such as mini markets where Caesar’s building is. It is literally like their own towns/civilizations. They have a lot of different armor and clothing options for every one of any rank. I guess it’s basically just the legion without all the shitty stuff 😭

Now, does this make any sense in the wasteland? No. But is it fun to write about? Yes! I don’t support the legion and their actions in any way, they are still awful people at the end of the day. This is simply all in good fun for writing purposes (or roleplaying purposes since I do rp with my friend…)

I also enjoy writing headcanons for a lot of the characters! I love the idea of a trans Vulpes, trying to blend in to be a man. I also enjoy stuff like bisexual Benny, he just seems like he swings both ways. (Points if you enjoy small headcanons like Arcade enjoys eating cheese or something)

Anywho, tell me about your fallout aus! I’m so bored and wanna read about them (don’t mind if my grammer js dookie…idc about punctuation rn)

More about my Vulpes killing Caesar and running off with Arcade AU. So spoilers but Caesar lives but as a ghoul now :) we sort of based it off of laniusbignaturals post about ghoul caesar a while back. He essentially gets found in a ditch (with rad waste) after getting a ripper to the throat by a legion scout and through sheer luck alone he lives. It gets hailed by himself and the legionaries as a marvel of Mars. Word of him surviving goes across the Mojave and somehow gets to Joshua, who just cant get over his ex, and he crawls his ass back to Caesar and (bc plot) becomes his right hand again. Vulpes and Arcade travel south and into Mexico to flee assassins, particulary Legate Lanius who has been tasked with finding them as they're enemies of the Legion, where they come across the Remants.

"Femboy Vulpes" this, "Furry Vulpes" that, can we talk more about how genuinely unsettling he is.

He's a stalker with an emotional disconnect from his crimes against humanity, speaking with an eerie calmness and politeness in his voice while he addresses what he's done to the courier. He holds 0 remorse for his actions and because of that his demeanor is so offputting.

He's a master of manipulation, and despite being so well known as Caesar's top Frumentarii, he still gets basically every job done. Hes not afraid for people to know who he is, that's why he addresses the Courier so publically outside the Tops instead of approaching you in a more isolated area.

He's intelligent and charismatic, and he uses these traits to his benefit consistently, that's how he convinced his men to kill themselves for Searchlight, or convinced the mayor of Nipton to round everyone up for the lottery. The only time you really see true emotion in him is when you talk to him after Caesar's death.

I just feel like a lot of people get so caught up in trying to build more on him that they lose some of the basics of his design like him stalking the courier and being so unapologetic about his war crimes and populicide that he speaks of them so nonchalantly
