omg these kinds of anons will literally do ANYTHING but fix their own miserable life. i get it, maybe x reader fanfics might not be the most comfortable thing to read for some—especially when it’s with real people. i’m not disputing that.

but also, i do believe i can be bold enough to say that most of us readers and writers do not actually believe that they have a chance with these men lmaoo !! and if you did your research, anon, you’d know that writing about celebrities in fanfiction is actually fully legal under fair use laws as long as no one claims that what they’re writing has actually happened. bffr, we all know this is fiction!

and really, there can be so much beauty in creating art purely for the sake of wanting it to exist. fanfic writers don’t get paid yknow!! so reading fanfic is the purest way to support authors and artists with no capitalistic greed running the whole scheme (esp on my goat ao3).

and exploring sexuality through fanfiction? even better! the alternative is watching p0rn, and we all know how p0rn objectifies women, caters to men’s deluded unrealistic fantasies, and is often filmed illegally or unethically—while giving the people behind the camera a huge profit!! and this is all just accepted as an unstoppable force of nature. but fanfiction is where you draw the line?

when men sexualize women, they make deepfakes and find similar looking p0rn stars to nut to on illegal websites. but here? people are writing stories, pouring their heart and soul into creating something that makes people feel something—i’ve laughed, cried, kicked my feet, then clenched my toes reading fanfic here. i’ve read stories of single mothers to mermaids to ceos. lines that made me stay up late at night contemplating my life.

and of course, i learned so much about my sexuality and preferences through fanfic too!

so… what’s the worse crime here? reading someone’s celebrity fanfiction or supporting platforms that genuinely cause people to get erectile dysfunction?
