Ronald Shepard

He started as an artist in 2011; began with watercolor, then oil, and eventually colored pencils.  His latest passion is soft pastels.  He belongs to two local galleries; he teaches art classes for beginners and, sometimes, intermediate artist.  Ron also manages a colored pencil club at one of the galleries. He’s lived in Gastonia since 2008 and is retired.

Tranquil Solitude is in a 25" x 33" frame.  “This is a Vermont scene under Camel's Hump in Huntington, VT.  I camped overnight in this area several times; it certainly is peaceful”.

Path to the Flats is in a 11x14 frame.  “A pathway to the woods I would visit with friends to explore”.

At Water's Edge is seen as framed 18x22.  Ranklin Lake Gastonia rocks on the water's edge.

Her inspiration for creating colorful art comes from my love of nature, and gardens of past and present. Known by many as the “Master Gardener Artist,” she creates vibrant paintings in mixed media or watercolor. Since flowers only last for a short period of time, she first started by capturing their image with photography. She realized her love for painting could keep their image alive, bringing happiness and joy to anyone who sees her artwork.

Sandy paints at her home studio in Belmont, and also in her Garden HeART Studio, located at ARTS ON THE GREENWAY in Mount Holly, NC.

Donating #artwork can help Gaston County #veterans here's how... If you or someone you know will donate artwork then email the following info to [email protected]: Full description of the piece being donated (artist, dimensions, price, title, etc.) Image of the artwork Names of those who will be attending the event? (see attached flyer) Step 2: You'll receive an email, within 3-5 business days, indicating the location & times to drop off the artwork.  If you have business cards, brochures, etc., please include them when dropping off the artwork.
