WSGE 91.7 FM wants to Honor a Local Phenomenal Woman
DALLAS, N.C. – WSGE 91.7 FM, the non-commercial public radio station that broadcasts from its studio on the Dallas Campus of Gaston College, is looking to honor a local woman for being a phenomenal member in their community.
In honor of Women’s History Month – in March, WSGE will select a woman who had a noteworthy influence within a community service or volunteer organization. The following criteria will be considered:
Continuing and significant commitment to community service as reflected in participation in programs and initiatives which are responsive to community and social needs.
· The length and degree of their service.
· The degree to which their service has made lasting or meaningful contributions to the community.
The purpose of this award is to honor the contributions and achievements of the women in the greater-Charlotte area. A committee of WSGE staff and community members will select the winner. The winner will be recognized and interviewed on-air during WSGE’s Premiere Public Affairs show The Roundtable Sunday Edition with Randy Walker. Also, the winner will be rewarded with a Certificate of Recognition and a $100 VISA gift card.

Or submissions can be mailed or dropped at WSGE Radio, Monday – Friday during business hours. The station is located in the Craig Arts and Sciences Building, Room 115 on the Dallas Campus of Gaston College. All nominations must be received by Friday, March 10th at 5pm.
