Sagara is 100% autistic coded at least. I know his behavior is “explained away” due to growing up in a constant state of war and being a child soldier, but there’s no denying that boy’s brain is just built different.

Honestly it makes the series incredibly endearing because everyone loves Sousuke. The comedy comes from Chidori’s overblown reactions to him but when you watch the other characters and how they interact with him they’re surprisingly nonchalant by comparison. Over time they just accept him as how he is and I think that’s really sweet and important.
