One In a Million (Captain Rex x Male!Reader)

Synopsis:

After a successful mission, the clones and (Y/N) are on a ship on the way back to base. However, (Y/N) can tell something's bothering Rex's. His insecurities pop up and as always, (Y/N) is there to squash his worries away.

You paced in the halls, waiting for Rex to be finished with the mission debriefing. Snapping your fingers in a random rhythm, fidgeting nervously eager to see the light of your life again. Some might think it's not a good idea entirely to work alongside your lover in a war, but you couldn't help but disagree. You always cherished spending time with him, no matter the circumstances. Sure, he could be reckless, and sometimes he brushed too close to danger for your liking. You couldn't deny how much you worried about him, and yet all these qualities made you fall more for him each day. It was hard to keep that kind of love contained.

Finally, Rex emerged out of the de-briefing and with a small dash you quickly fell into his arms. As he caught you, used to your tackles, the air you knocked out of him fueled a chuckle.

"'Ello there (Y/N)."

"What took you so long?" your teasing voice slightly muffled, your face buried in his chest.

"Sorry babe" a kiss found its way to the top of your head, every time you heard his accent your heart swelled. "It's important we keep in touch about every development."

As you pulled away, you felt an unusually heavy sigh escape him, but you couldn't tell what for.

"I know... but that was quite the plan you had, it went off without any real hitch! You're so clever, y'know that?" You chimed, an attempt to raise his spirits.

His eyebrows remained furrowed, only slightly softening at your words. Now you knew something was bothering him.

"Thanks, but truthfully I'm glad it's over with. I'm pretty knackered after all that..." a lie? It could be... but then again the mission was not without its exhausting parts as always, and you could see the bags forming under his eyes.

"Maybe you should get some shut-eye then? I'll join you in a little while. I just have to do some weapon maintenance." Nodding at your suggestion and smiling a weak smile, he answered you. "Sounds like a plan." His arms fell from yours, lingering on your hands a while longer before he set off for your sleeping chambers. Your weapon didn't really need the touch-up, but you needed time to think about how to approach this, not knowing what the outcome might be.

After briefly polishing and recalibrating your blaster, you tucked it away in your hip holster and headed to your chambers.

You had half expected him to be asleep already, or staring at the ceiling. But as you entered, you found the lights were off, only the dim lights lining the ceiling casting a pale off white onto your lovers back. He was sitting upright, his shirt off, staring into the cosmos through the window. Perhaps this would be more difficult than you thought... Shaking off your nerves, you crawled across the bed to the other side where your love was, placing your hands around him and enveloping him in a loving embrace from behind. He was warm to the touch, and his muscles defined as ever under his rough and scarred skin.

"Rex... is everything okay?" bordering on rhetorical, he was still for a moment before nodding. He let out another heavy sigh before turning to face you, now sitting cross-legged across from you.

"Why me?" his question was blunt but ultimately confusing.

"What do you mean?" You prodded further, his face clouded with worry. He looked into your eyes to ask with what bravery he could summon.

"Why me? Why do you love me? I'm a clone babe and don't get me wrong, I am grateful, and I love being with you, but..." his stare broke, his gaze averted to the sheets he was gripping for dear life.

"I look like... millions of my brothers. Down to the specks in our eyes, the curves on our noses, the smile we share." you could feel the distance and insecurity in his voice. "How can you find anything about me to be unique?"

Just then, it felt like a weight was lifted off of, you released your held breath and felt lighter instantly. You couldn't imagine what it must be like for him, but making him feel loved and unique? You felt very much qualified to help.

"There's only one of you, Rex," you answered him, plain and simple, but now he was the confused one, his eyes squinted prompting you to carry on.

"Just, let me explain..." you inhaled deeply, the air almost fueling the fire in your heart for this man. He just stared in awe, unsure of what to do. The memories you had with him, the battles you'd survived, the nights in each others arms. You couldn't stop your hand from tracing his battle scars while you spoke, trying to bring him comfort.

"It's true, that you might have some of the same features as your brothers, but really, I don't see you and them as the same at all. Hell, I'd even forget you guys are clones sometimes if it wasn't for your voices. There's so much that sets you apart, that I love you for."

His expression softened, shoulders dropping their tension and opening up to your perspective as you spoke. You shimmed closer to him, grabbing his hands in yours.

"There's no one else like you Rex. Nobody makes me feels so safe, inspires me so much with their bravery, their leadership. There's a reason you're a Captain, my dear, it's because you're special and it's very obvious. I just...." you paused, you could feel your love overwhelming you, but you couldn't just stop there. "I just wish you could see what I see." The tears blurring your vision, your smile making your cheeks hurt, you could just barely make out his eyes and a smile. The words found you at that moment for the perfect finishing touch.

"To me, Rex, you're literally one in a million."

That was enough to pull him out of his doubt. Rex closed the gap, his hand making its way under your arms and around your back, the other pushing you both down onto the surprisingly comfortable mattress. You closed your eyes and your lips meet, the tears finally washing away. After a couple of seconds of that passionate kiss, you almost felt breathless. His smile widened, and he looked to you with absolute adoration.

"Thank you (Y/N)... I mean it. You're the best boyfriend a guy could ask for." his chuckle muffled by another peck on your lips.

"Anytime Rex. You can always count on me to love you, just for being you."

It’s been a dry hunting season for Bounty Hunter (Y/N), and a new chance to make some big bucks comes up. Could this be his luck finally turning up?

The air seemed heavy as you scuffed your worn-out boots on the ground, aimlessly making your way through the busy streets of Coruscant. The neon lights reflecting off the dark concrete jungle, fog leaving various vents, the damp air making almost everything shine. Your mind was clouded, heavy with the thoughts of paying for your next meal. It had been a pretty dry season for you, bursting out of the crowd and making a name for yourself as a bounty hunter wasn't as easy as you'd thought it'd be. Hell, with half the lower city being bounty hunters themselves you barely got by, and there was no way to afford a ship to get off this planet. [*BEEP-BEEP BOOP*] The small homemade coms device in your helmet chimes, snapping your back to reality.  A bounty had been posted. "Finally!" you thought, quickly tapping twice on your helmet's temple. Your helmets built-in display lighting up, you squinted, looking at the name before you. [J E D I : O B I - W A N : D E A D  OR  A L I V E : 500,000 U N I T S] Your pace slowed and your thoughts picked up the pace... A Jedi? Were they serious? In this city of all places? You couldn't believe it but on the other hand... No more than a 6 hours later, after 3 dead-end leads, two false alarms and many, many lies about your identity, you had given up. Pressing the button to deactivate your helmet, you took it off and sighed into the fresh air. "Somebody else probably found him..." grumbling defeated. You decided to head to a not so busy bar, thinking about how stupid that idea was over a drink. Looking around, you made your way inside, the music and atmosphere could be enough to get your mind off of your troubles for a while. You walked to the bar, sitting on a comfortable stool and listening to the noise around you. The pulsing music, the mindless chattering, the lights reflecting off the floor. You decided you'd enjoy what you could for the rest of your night, ordering a cheap drink with the raise of a hand. It arrived in front of you and you gulped it down, trying to enjoy what you could for the rest of your night. It was then a man decided to take a seat beside you, rather casually. You picked up your head to see a strawberry blonde man, beard clad and wearing Jedi robes. He looked to you and smiled politely, shifting his chest to face you more directly. He looked far too young to be the Jedi you were hunting earlier, besides, you were done with chasing. "Rough night?" he said with a gentle smile. "How could you tell?" the grumble of words barely making it to his ears over the noise of the other patrons. You look closer at him, his piercing blue eyes and flowing hair catching you off guard, you hadn't noticed how handsome he was. Immediately you picked attempted a better introduction. The previous chase of the day was over, but the new opportunity presenting itself was too much to resist. "I know the feeling. The day I had wasn't quite what I had in mind either." his hand raised with his index and middle gabbing the attention of the barkeep. "We'll need two drinks over here please." "Oh, you don't have t-" you try to interrupt, but he raises his hand to your, not threateningly but, calmly. "Nonsense. It would be my pleasure," he reassures you. The drinks come, two glowing blue shots to be slowly consumed. It was almost like he could read your mind, knowing you didn't really have the funds to be blowing in a bar. Picking up his shot with only a finger and thumb, almost gracefully, he took a small sip and closed his eyes. He seemed to be enjoying the moment as if he hadn't had a break in days. "The name's (Y/N), and who might you be?" you ask in a more confident tone, taking a healthy swig of your drink to appear at ease. With a chuckle, an amused answer comes. "Pleasure to meet you, (Y/N), I'm Obi-Wan." Immediately your throat closed on the drink, causing it to almost spill into your lungs. You coughed, trying to play it off as nonchalantly as possible. You almost tried to kill a man this attractive? "Oh, are you alright?" he asked, putting a hand on your shoulder. You could feel your face getting hotter from the embarassment and the attraction. You were shocked by just how... hot he was. "I'm fine, just, not used to this strong a drink." you try to laugh it off, he laughs with you. Hitting your chest to help the drink move back down your throat. "Well, it is rather strong I suppose, it is my favorite though." he smiled, sipping more. Your throat cleared and your face cooled down, you tried again to make casual conversation, anything to hear more of his voice. Looking for the words you lost yourself in his face. He was so handsome it was almost devastating. "So uh... what brings you to this place? I didn't know Jedi drink," you ask, teasingly. He answered with wit "I don't know of anything that prohibits enjoying a drink every now and again, especially after a long day." "Fair enough, Obi-Wan." you resisted the urge to wink at him, but looking at his eyes still, intensely. You were starting to feel quite relieved, he must've been avoiding bounty hunters like yourself all day. Those six hours he spent avoiding those vultures were the same six hours you spent looking for him. Now here he was... just next to you... and handsome as all hell. He had even bought you a drink.   Maybe your luck really was looking up after all.

I've never requested anything before but could I ask for a male reader who is a bounty hunter and his target is Obi Wan but when he sees him hes all like "oh sh** hes hot!" Love your works!!!

Heya! First I appreciate you making this blog. The lack of Star Wars male x male is criminal. Anywho, could I request a headcannon or a short fic (which ever is easier) of an Obi Wan x a former Sith!male reader who really loves Obi Wan but has a hard time expressing his feelings with words and Obi Wan understands but thinks it's cute how reader would show their love in all these different ways? Again, love the blog and I hope it grows more!

Languages of Love (Obi-Wan x Former Sith Male!Reader)

After a Jedi council meeting Y/N discovers Obi-Wan will be going away on mission for a week without him, he has a hard time processing his feelings about the Jedi leaving for such a long time. The former Sith Y/N is now an informant who is at risk for bounty hunters for the moment, but still he is having a hard time keeping his protective and loving urges in check.

"I don't like this." You growl, walking ahead of Obi-Wan into your shared living quarters.

Letting out a heavy sigh he follows behind, the door closing behind him automatically. "I know... but it will just be one brief mission, (Y/N) I'm not sure what's got you so upset about this?" He walks towards you, leaving a bit of space between the two of you.

You didn't know either, but it might have had something to do with the fact that this mission would need radio silence. He would be gone for a week in total. You weren't sure if it was the force telling you something or your own anxiety around him leaving and not returning. After all, you knew how dangerous the Sith were first hand... You looked away, trying not to let your emotions get the best of you. Your eyes shifting from place to place in the room trying to find the words to tell him what you're feeling. The love you have for him, the fear of losing him, the need to protect, you were finding these feelings overwhelming. His hand touches yours and you flinch slightly, snapping out of your thoughts and back to reality.

"Be with me darling, please." His kind blue eyes staring into yours, a reassuring smile across his face. "I will be okay on this mission, and it would be much more dangerous for you to go with me."

Your hand closes around his, and you pull him into a hug, lingering there.

"I... I just want to protect you. I need you to not get hurt... okay?" Forcibly relaxing your shoulders, dropping them, exhaling the worries as he had taught you. Your gentle nuzzled into his shoulder prompting to rub your back. His touch soothing your worries further.

Just then, the Jedi gets an idea, an almost devilish grin on his face.

"But my dear (Y/N), who else would embrace me with the love you do if you were to get hurt protecting me?" Pulling away and meeting your eyes with a cheeky expression.

You stand there holding back a smile, your hands falling gracefully down his side, grabbing his when reaching the end of his arms. You know this game... and you know how it ends too.

Cocking his head he poses another question to you. "Who else would do so many small kind acts? Brighten my day? Spar with me with such wit?"

Your neutral expression starts to crack a bit, looking down and avoiding his eyes. He softly chuckles, grabbing your chin with his hand and pulling it up to kiss you. His mustache and beard slightly tickling your face, your smile unable to hold back anymore.

"Who else would I do that with? That's why I need you to stay here. Nobody can show so much love with so few words like you (Y/N)."

Your gaze falls again, a weak grin spanning across your face. "I wish I could tell you how much you mean to me, Obi..."

He squeezes your hands to grab your attention, a big laugh almost in disbelief of what you've just told him.

"I know, because you do, every day with every small thing you do darling. I cherish all of those adorable unspoken words." giving you another short peck to drive his point home. "and I love you too."

The sounds of city traffic swirled around your head, making you feel heavy and that you could topple over at any minute. You felt like you were drowning in the noise. If you gambled, you could slip into it-- into the stridency, the buzzing lights, the darkness inbetween. But a hand on your shoulder pulled you out, back to safety.

"(Y/N)?" Comes his voice, low and gentle and real.

He sits down beside you, his knees brushing against yours, his hand still on your shoulder. You can't seem to look him in the eye. You stare outside the window and try to get lost in the view again. You need to get lost in it.

"Darling," Obi-Wan whispers, his free hand tucking hair behind your ear despite there being no need.

His voice is like an anchor. It settles you. His touch calms you down. And you don't deserve it. Your shoulders buckle when you choke on the weight of how you feel, tears rushing down your cheeks.

"It's my fault," you cry and Obi-Wan shakes his head.

"No," he soothes, wiping your wet cheeks, "it's not your fault."

"Yes, it is. If I was better... If I did better, then maybe--"

"Don't say that. Don't ever say that."

Obi-Wan moves closer to you. The warmth of his touch blocks out the sounds from outside and the emptiness you're feeling.

"You are worth so much," his lips press to your forehead, "you mean so much to me," a kiss to your cheek, "you are everything."

"But what if I'm not? What if I'm really not what you think?"

"Not possible," Obi-Wan smiles, taking your hand in his and kissing your knuckles, "you're always worthy and I'll always love you."

Obi-Wan x Male!S/O Head-canons

You two started training around the same time, growing up together around the same age.

You both know that relationships are forbidden, but you reject that narrative, attempting to balance your love with your duties.

He’s protective of you, but also wants to see you grow as a person more than anything in this world, your biggest supporter.

That being said, he will also compete against you to keep ambitions high for the both of you.

But when night falls, he confides his worries with you, seeking your counsel on a lot of thoughts he has, usually on a walk around the temple.

He has a very gentle gaze and always treats you with care, not cautious but mindful of how you’re feeling.

His touch is delicate, but very purposeful. Strokes of your cheek, rubbing his thumb against yours when you’re holding hands, a soft yet firm grip on your side when cuddling.

His mustache and beard tickle when you kiss, but you can’t really complain.

He’s really fond of being the big spoon, it’s his chance to hold you safely in his arms and rest. It’s something that makes him feel at peace.

If he thinks you’re asleep he’ll start to whisper how amazing you are, and how much he’s learned from you.

Play with his hair or scratch his scalp for him and he might fall asleep mid ramble.

Any sort of worry you have for him is fruitless, he’ll try to act really tough or mysterious to impress you, right up until he needs to be saved, always pretending to have everything under control.

He spends a lot of time thinking deeply about things, and always delights in your company in a comfortable silence. He might mindlessly play with your hair or stroke your arms.

Your laughter is one of his favourite sounds, and your smile stuns him whenever he sees it. He’ll try to amuse you and is always secretly seeking your reactions.
