so now im picturing if this was before the parents died, ponyboy accidentally hitting his head and running to his mom to get darry grounded when it wasnt even his fault whilst sodapop is trying to stop him
maybe dally didnt participate and called it "girly bullshit," even when two-bit was trying to force him to do a handstand he just wanted to stick with what he already had
steve knocking out a tooth once and not noticing until darry noticed his mouth bleeding and sodapop going into some sort of paternal mode to make sure he was alright. he does that for some reason

Proposal: She takes her car to a mechanic and it's beat for beat like the original movie scene at the dress shop, where the mechanic *tries* to rip her off and she nods along and then eviscerates her with precise technical details.
The rest of Elle's class now shun that mechanics' shop and tell everyone else to as well, so that place ends up going out of businesss, which allows someone else in the class to open up a sparkling pink and perfectly trustworthy shop of his own.

"ackshually we don't support jkr and our fandom has queer & poc representation" girl...your fandom is the worst mass delusion since the dancing plague of 1518, your "representation" is a series of headcanons for characters who are little more than names in a series whose worldbuilding you continue to use in your art and whose existence has material consequences for trans people in the uk. you cannot headcanon your way out of supporting one of if not the most famous transphobe in the world. there are fantasy books by real life queer people and people of colour that will never get a fraction of of support that jkr does. read those instead and take a personality quiz oh my GOD

I'm all for "separate the art from the artist!!" but that doesn't work if they're alive yknow? Especially when they are actively funding anti-trans organizations and harming trans people. You cannot support the lgbtqia+ community and continue to watch the Harry Potter movies and/or the new show, play Hogwarts legacy or any other Harry Potter related game or do anything that gives JKR profit. By giving her profit you are supporting her funding of anti-trans organizations and more.
