Call it Drone or Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), it is somewhat the easy approach to Surveying, Mapping and Facility Management of the built and emerging environment. Yours truly is currently undertaking and indeed taking advantage of this DJI Phantom 4 Pro including DroneDeploy and MapPro applications in mapping and for geospatial analysis of the over 280 acres of land and the adjoining Erelu Dam as well as the entire facility assessment of the building infrastructures at Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo. The exercise include Digital Terrain Modeling (DTM) viz: Contour, Aspect, Slope, Flow, Stream etc of the area using the functionalities of ArcGIS and Surfer.
