Get to know my Character

04 - What are their favorite traits about their lover? (one psychological and one physical)

Gear does not have a lover, nor does he hold romantic interest in anyone at the moment. But supposedly, if he were to… He would love their hands. Hands that perform mundane tasks in their day-to-day life. Hands that he holds as they care for him, or as he cares for them. Hands that are weathered through trials and tribulations, hands that are clean as porcelain, untouched by the cruelty of the world. And as for personality, their ability to listen. Listen to his words, his complaints, his thoughts. Perhaps if one were to do so, they would hear words of affection; they would hear words of thanks and words of love.

13 - What are your character’s sleeping habits? Heavy or light sleeper? Blanket stealer? One that always rolls onto the floor? Pushes their lover onto the floor? Sleep talker or walker?

Gear suffers from Insomnia–Even as he tries to succumb to the sweet lull of sleep, his meticulous ears catch the sound of the clock ticking, the gears turning, the creak of the time-worn floorboards as Ma walks around the theater. And while he’s still awake, lying among the loud silence, he gets thinking about things: of his woes and regrets, of the inevitable future. Gear goes for hours exhausting his mind, and it’s only until he succumbs to the sweet, truly silent lull of sleep that his thoughts stop.

15 - Is there a certain person in this world that they cannot stand? The very mention of this person’s name makes them tremble with anger or fear.

Although the list of people he could care less for could take days for him to read off (actually, its about ten names long; he only knows that many people), one person who Gear truly cannot stand is Graveyard. With her constant mockery of him and his position, and how the first thing he sees out the view of the clocktower is her dining on intruders as she lets out a laugh, Graveyard truly gets on Gear’s nerves.

42 - Is there anything in your character’s past that they regret, haunts them, or they wish they could change?

By nature of his past and duty, he’s had multiple woes and regrets. The easy answer would be that moment where he tore his heart out from his chest just for the sake of the doll. But upon further speculation, Gear finds that what he truly regrets is just that for the entirety of his life as an unawakened vessel, he hasn’t had the ability to do anything, nor will he ever be able to do anything for future but just sit and wait.

43 - Does your character have a switch that changes aspects of their personality whether they are around friends, family, etc. Is there someone who gets to see their true self?

That “switch’ is silence. The time and tranquility for him to think things over as he speaks, to pause as he speaks. Patience. Be slow with him; don’t push and poke, don’t push his buttons and he’ll truly appreciate it. With all the teasing the rest of the theatre do in regards to his past, attitude, and role, he’ll truly appreciate it.

50 - If your character confessed love to their crush, boyfriend, girlfriend, etc, what would they say? (As of the moment, Gear holds no romantic interest)
