Hi! I'm Gears. This is a (generally sfw) tickle blog where I mainly reblog cute stuff I find. I like to draw so maybe sometimes I'll post my own stuff here. she/her, 20+, don't dm me unless otherwise invited
Something about 'that tickles' as an admission as opposed to 'I'm ticklish' I mean both are good but idk, the first being like. Always said with a hint of giggles, it's something that they're already doing that's getting the reaction, and it's less of a deliberate admission so it can easily be followed by a đł "wait nvm forget I said that." just. Agh.
Just laugh. Just let yourself laugh! This will be so much easier for you if you just let yourself laugh. Come on, you're already smiling! You know this feels silly! You're not just gonna get used to it! You're not fooling anyone! I know it tickles, and I'm not stopping until you let me hear that pretty, crazy laugh. Just let go and let it happen! What are you so embarrassed about? What are you so afraid of? It's just tickling! You're just ticklish! Super ticklish. Ticklish here, and ticklish here, and â oh, REALLY ticklish here! Oh NO, did I find a BAD SPOT? Looks like you're just gonna have to let me hear your crazy, silly, ticklish laughter!
Hey! Where do you think you're going? Nope, you're staying right here, and you're gonna laugh for me. You're gonna laugh really really hard. I hear it! I hear it bubbling out!
There it is! There's that beautiful laugh! See? Isn't this so much better? Isn't it? Hello? You in there? Uh oh... now you can't STOP laughing, can you? Having a little trouble speaking? It tickles even more now that you're laughing, doesn't it? You shouldn't have let the laughter out! Now I can't help myself, I HAVE to keep tickling you!
Awww, what's happening? Am I tickling the shit out of you? Is it embarrassing, losing yourself in a flood of silly, ticklish, laughter-inducing sensation like this? Your face is turning red! I guess I could stop tickling you... Buuuut, I'm not going to.
You're laughing so hard! You look and sound so happy! I think you like it! I think you LIKE getting tickled CRAZY like this! That's right, cutie, just keep laughing for me. Tickle tickle tiiickleïœ!

Summary:Â If Dick had a nickel for each time he woke up in Jason's body, he'd have two nickels. At least this time he can take advantage of it.
Strangely, itâs not the first time that Dick has woken up in someone elseâs body. Or the second, even. The first time was after a weird mission with the Titans, and he woke up in Bartâs body, buzzing like he was going to die if he didnât move, starving like he hadnât eaten in months. The second time, he woke up in Jasonâs body, a familiar redhead in the bed next to him, a small child cuddled between him and Roy. He had jolted like he was electrocuted and stumbled to the manor while Lian and Roy still laid peacefully in bed. It was, without a doubt, not the highest on the list of ways that Jason would have liked to come out to his family, but none of them had made a big deal of it.Â
Thatâs all to say that, while nobody expects to wake up in another personâs body, Dick weirdly recognizes the weight he wakes up with, has a muscle memory of throwing the weight around the last time he and Jason ended up in this situation. Last time, Jasonâs body had been sore, bruised ribs and two fractured fingers that he hadnât bothered to mention to anyone. This time, he feels pretty alright other than the ebb of exhaustion encroaching on his alertness, and the dizziness that could likely be contributed to missing a round of meds the previous night.Â
He can hear a groan from somewhere down the hall, the clattering of stuff falling to the floor, and predictably, Dickâs own body is dashing through the door. Jason looks beyond fed up, and the only relief is that he hadnât gone home to Roy and Lian the night before, and that he had somehow, for the second time, avoided Roy seeing him in this embarrassing ass situation. Jason rolls his eyes with a grunt before glaring daggers towards Dick, âwhat the fuck did you do this time?â
âMe?â Dick gasps, offended, but unsurprised. He has been known to piss off a magician or two from time to time. âIt was your fault last time!â
âWas not! How was I even supposed to know there was a witch in Gotham? She wasnât fuckinâ around in crime alley, I never encounter the weird shit that you and Bruce do!âÂ
âMaster Jason,â a voice says from the hall, Alfred clearing his throat, âlanguage, please.â
âSorry, Alfie,â Jason sighs, looking down at his hands.Â
âWait,â Dick says, tilting his head to one side, dark brows furrowed, âhowâd you know thatâs Jason?â
âConsider it an old manâs intuition,â Alfred looks between the two of them, partially flabbergasted that Dickâs body is wearing an expression so vividly Jason, and Jasonâs body is wearing one thatâs so vividly Dick. âThough I was unaware we were dealing with another magic incident.âÂ
âWe were unaware too,â Dick groans, âI want out of this bulldozer.â Dick makes for the door, grabbing Jason and dragging him non-committedly behind him. Theyâll have to call Zatanna again like the last time, and Dick is praying sheâs not off-world again. He doesnât love having to call one of his ex-girlfriends to get him out of embarrassing, avoidable situations, but it couldâve been worse, Wally had begged Dick to stay the night last night, and Dick is suddenly very glad he had said no.Â
Jason rolls his eyes, following behind Dick, not making much of an effort to actually walk, âdonât talk about my hard-earned muscle like that.â
When Jason stops in the kitchen, claiming heâs hungry and his pit-stop is Alfred-approved, Dick paces the hall anxiously, hearing constant, numb buzzing in his mind. He remembers the noise from their last body-swap, remembers having to fight off a green haze that nobody else could see. Jason grins when he peeks his head into the hall, but it seems he hasnât even realized that heâs not hearing the buzz, as if heâs the same with it or without it. âChill, dickface. Can you like, eat an egg or something? My body needs protein.â
Dick glares in Jasonâs direction, and it almost startles Jason how stern his older brother is able to look in a body thatâs not his, âIâm sure youâll last two hours without a protein bar.â
âSays you, you weigh like three pounds,â Jason jabs, walking into the hallway to follow Dick to the cave.Â
âIâm lean,â Dick groans, âyou try doing a quadruple front flip with the body of a football player. In fact, Iâd love to see you try.â
The cave, as usual, is dark and cold, a breeze seeming to come from nowhere at all. Tim is at the table closest to stairs, slumped over his laptop, eyebags deep and drooping. He has a mountain of Monster cans in front of him, and a coffee pot that Dick is certain Bruce swapped for decaf at some point, though it seems it didnât matter anyways. Dick shoots him a disappointed look, letting out a tired sigh knowing that heâll probably have to drug Timâs tea or something to get him to actually sleep.Â
Tim looks startled by the expression, a light blush on his cheeks, and Dick is reminded that heâs not in his body, but in Jasonâs. Jason shows his affection through playful aggression, he doesnât have the oldest sibling instinct to be exhausted by Timâs shenanigans instead of worriedly amused.
âTimmers,â Dick calls, Jasonâs timber voice coming out higher, more cheerful, âis B down here?â
Timâs brow furrows, and he squints at Dick, His glasses sit low on his nose, and he pushes them up closer, but seems no more satisfied, no less confused. âUh, I think so. He was like,â Tim takes a moment and looks at the time on his phone, âlike two hours ago? I donât remember him leaving I think?â
âGreat, thank you, Timmy!â Dick skips deeper into the cave, and Jason has to physically restrain himself from tackling his own body because of how fucking stupid Dick is making it look.Â
Bruce doesnât look as exhausted as Tim, but heâs certainly getting there, slouched over a pile of files, sifting through them lazily and looking between them and his computer screen. He looks infinitely more exhausted when he looks at his eldest sons, putting his head in his hands and lightly pulling at the ends of his hair, âI will contact Zatanna again.â
âThanks, B!â Dick exclaims, grinning widely. Thereâs something dopey about the expression being on Jasonâs face, but Bruce still has to look away to hide his own grin at seeing a rare smile on Jasonâs face.Â
Dick turns back around, heading back towards where Tim was sitting, and Jason watches as Dick throws the younger boy over his shoulder, overestimating Timâs weight, or, more accurately, underestimating his strength, and having to adjust.Â
âJason, what the f-â
âNot Jason!â Dick quips, pretending to drop Tim, âall thanks to some evil witch or warlock out there.âÂ
âEven worse,â Tim responds, but he hardly struggles when Dick moves to the stairs, intending to get him to finally sleep after who knows how long awake.Â
Jason takes the opportunity to move towards the training area, hoping to try out Dickâs escrima sticks in Dickâs own body. He had tried to use them a few times, when he found them lying around or during the odd training session, but he just didnât have the nimbleness to make them work, it was all about fists when he was fighting.Â
He does a few flips, practices throwing himself around like itâs nothing, grabbing onto things he had never been able to jump to, doing tricks he hasnât done since his Robin days. When Dick comes back, he watches Jason attempt some sort of backflip, one that lands him facedown on the mat.Â
Dick rushes over, grabbing one of Jasonâs arms and flipping him over on his back, looking unimpressed when Jason groans, a hand finding his face. âYou better not have just bruised my body.â
âBruised? Youâll be fine, dickhead, Iâm sure youâre not made of glass,â Jason replies, rolling onto his side.Â
âWhat hurts? Seriously, Jason, if you messed up my body Iâm going to break one of your fingers before Zatanna gets here.â
âChill!â Jason replies, sitting up, criss-cross in a way that makes this feel like heâs in a primary school class, getting chided by a teacher for spoiling To Kill A Mockingbird for the rest of his class.
âYouâre impossible,â Dick sighs, reaching down and reaching for Jasonâs ribs to make sure he wonât be feeling pain once heâs back in his body. Jason jolts away with an aborted squeak, swatting at Dickâs hand.Â
âFuck off!â Jason shouts, rolling away from Dick, he stops once he feels far enough away and gapes at Dick, âyour body is like, crazy ticklish.â
âOh, shut up,â Dick replies, waiting to plan his attack.
Jason eyes the roomâs exits, figuring out which one could get him as far away as possible. Dick just grins, knowing it wonât matter once he catches Jason, knowing there will be no way for him to actually escape.Â
Luckily for Dick, he sees Jason looking shiftily towards the back exit, the one that leads from the training room down the hallway to the medbay. Dick jolts forward and narrowly misses Jason as he runs, making it to the hall. Dick rounds the room to another exit, walking briskly down the hall, and heâs soon cutting off Jasonâs path, grinning evilly as he watches Jason contemplate his next move.Â
âYou know whatâs about to happen,â Dick says with a light laugh.Â
âCan you ever just leave me alone?â Jason grunts, looking around to bolt again, âyouâre so annoying.â
âI legally canât,â Dick responds, and in seconds heâs tackling Jason to the ground, Jason, who had made the mistake of looking back for an escape route, âIâm your favourite big brother, after all.â
Jason is grappling against Dickâs hold, but he knows itâs over when Dick uses his thighs to pin him down, Jasonâs current body no match for his actual one when it comes to strength. He doesnât even know where to protect, other than the vague ideas he has from when Bruce used to tickle Dick, or he and Dick would get into mostly one-sided tickle fights as children. He moves his arms down to protect Dickâs ribs, but heâs not even sure if theyâre Dickâs worst spot, and heâs beginning to realize that Dick knows exactly where to tickle, itâs his body, after all.Â
Dick grins, lopsided and playful like he always has when heâs messing with his siblings, and he pretends to think, looking at Jason as he gradually grows more anxious. Dick moves his arms down so they rest limply by his sides, and Jason, noticing that the hands are eerily close to his sides, tries to jerk away. Dick grins, teasingly wiggling fingers next to Jasonâs stomach, content when Jason starts to squirm.Â
âWhahat thehehe fuhuhuck,â Jason giggles, âwhy ahaham I laahahaughing?â
Dick blushes faintly, shaking his head, âno way, is this bothering you?â
Jason shakes his head, brows furrowed, âitâs yohohour fuckinâ bohohody, why ihihis thihis getting me?â
âItâs the anticipation,â Dick explains, frustratingly level and calm, despite the pink blush on his cheeks, âI guess my body doesnât like it.âÂ
âYohohouâre tehehlling meHEHE,â Jason shrieks as Dickâs hands finally truly descend, fingers spidering over Jasonâs tummy, âDiHIHICK! Stahahp ihihit!âÂ
âNope, Iâm taking full advantage of this situation, I never tickle you anymore.â
âBehehecause Iâd kihihill yohohou!â Jason squeals, hands firmly on Dickâs wrists, not doing enough to push his hands away. Jason doesnât know enough to predict that Dick is going to go for the sensitive spot between his belly button and left hip bone, but heâs suddenly arching his back, gasping and squealing as he tries to figure out some sort of strategy to defend this body he knows nothing about.Â
âHmm, where should I try next?â Dick thinks out loud, examining Jasonâs red face, the smile up to his ears, he shakes his head when Jason insists that he try nowhere, and settles for a spot that will make Jason snort, âyou know, Iâm pretty bad on my ribs.â
Dickâs fingers wiggle upwards and drill into each rib, and Jason flops between arching his back and falling flat, âPlehehease! Yohohou- yohohuâre stuhuhupidly tihihicklish!â
Dick blushes, but he doesnât bother denying it, heâs very acquainted with it, âalright, but right now itâs you thatâs stupidly ticklish.âÂ
Dick does a motion thatâs something between pinching and spidering on a middle rib, and Jason snorts before falling into hysterical giggles, throwing his head back. When he does the same to the top rib on both sides, Jason shrieks, trying to clamp his arms to his sides. Jasonâs face is progressively growing redder and redder, and he canât seem to figure out a way to predict where Dick will go next, entirely unaware of how ticklish Dickâs body is and where.Â
Dickâs tries to put his hands under Jasonâs arms, but is unable to because of how strongly Jasonâs arms are clamped down at his sides. âAlright, well, you asked for this.â
Dickâs fingers fly down to Jasonâs thighs, skittering between his mid thighs and hipbones, and Jason screams, bucking violently, flinging his arms instead of strategizing. âFUHUHUCK- N- DIHIHICK, PLEHEHEASE!â
âI think you can take a little more,â Dick laughs, shaking his head, âI have pretty decent lung capacity.â
Jason has felt Dick tickle him to pieces before, he knows that Dickâs skilled in tickling younger siblings to pieces, tickling all the back-talk and sarcasm and bad moods out of them. He himself has been tickled to tears at the hands of Dick. But this? Jason has never felt so thoroughly tickled before in his entire life. Every spot, every tactic, completely taking him apart.Â
When Dick pinches above Jasonâs knee, scratching underneath it every few seconds, erratic and unpredictable, Jasonâs done for. He descends into wheezy, silent laughter, his hold loosening on Dickâs wrists.Â
Dick relents, pulling his hands away as he watches Jason try to catch his breath, tears slipping from the corners of his eyes. He suddenly looks sheepish, looking off towards the door, âyou know, I uh- I actually canât tell your signs when youâre in my body. Did I go too far?â
Jason waves Dick off with a limp hand before covering his face with his arm, âyou do that weird half snort half wheeze thing.â
Dick glares, his voice scandalized, âno I donât!â
âYou so do,â Jason responds, reaching a hand up to taser Dickâs bottom rib.Â
Dick snorts, rolling off of Jason, âyouâre still ticklish? Why didnât you try to fight me off?â
âOne of us has some self-preservation skills, Dickie,â Jason says with a wink, the expression is completely Jason, even though itâs Dickâs face, âyou and I are going to have some fun when this is over.â
Dick pales, laughing nervously. âUh, did you hear that? I think I heard Bruce call me, Iâll- I-â Dick bolts from the room, leaving with a bright blush.Â
Jason just laughs, rolling his eyes. Dick might play the role, but heâs not dumb enough to expose every spot, every tactic that makes him a hysterical mess⊠Unless, of course, he was looking forward to the revenge.
A/N: Figured I'd go ahead and get the ball rolling by forcing myself to finish one of my oldest drafts. You can probably tell at what point I picked this back up after it staying stagnant for months on end. Anyhow, as always let me know your thoughts!
Summary: Shinsou is giving his boyfriend the silent treatment after a sour prank. Luckily, Kaminari knows how to make him talk.
"Oh come on, are you still mad about that?" Kaminari asked as he walked behind the couch and playfully shook his boyfriend's shoulders.
Still no response.
Shinsou kept his arms crossed and his mouth shut as he continued to ignore the absolute menace to society that was currently behind him.
Earlier that morning, Shinsou had made his way over to Kaminari's room to drop off his laundry that he knew the dumbass would forget about. Just casually being the best boyfriend ever. Only to be smacked in the head with a styrofoam cup and covered in water the second he had opened the door.
He watched as his boyfriend's face morphed from shock and surprised to hysterical as he fell to the floor laughing at his own prank. To overcome with laughter to even apologize as Shinsou set the now wet laundry down and leave the room to get ready for the day all over again.
He had sworn up and down to Shinsou that the water cup wasn't meant for him as he was expecting Sero to walk through the door instead to pick up the notes he had left in his room last night during one of their study sessions.
And it wouldn't have been a big deal, it really wouldn't have. Shinsou was more than used to electric hero's antics by now. If he was being honest with himself, he had to suppress a smile as he pretended to angrily stomp down the hallway. If only Aizawa hadn't poked fun at him down the hallway. Saying he looked like an angry cat that had just gotten out of the bath.
As funny as it was, it didn't have to come from Aizawa! The one person he looked up to most! He was so embarrassed and that comment had stuck with him for the rest of the day.
So here he was. Arms crossed, chin up, eyes closed as he tried his best to ignore the repeated pokes on his cheeks from the grade-A asshole behind him.
"Toshi. Toshi. Toshi. Toshi. Toshi." Kaminari repeated as he kept poking his boyfriend's face. "Hitoshi talk to meeeeeeee!" He wailed as he dramatically flung himself over the couch, hoping his theatrics would at least make the other boy crack a smile. All it did was earn him an equally dramatic eye roll as Shinsou turned his head away yet again.
Kaminari sat up awkwardly as he gave Shinsou a gentle hug.
"I'm sooooooooorry! Ok? I'm so so so so so sorry!" The electric boy continued his scene. Determined to at least get a smile out of his boyfriend. "I'm awful!" He cried as he leaned back, putting his wrist to his forehead in an exaggerated show of feigned guilt. "I'm terrible, horrible, annoying, thoughtless, most awful boyfriend in the whole world!"
Shinsou turned to him. Nodded once. And turned away.
The overly loud, offended gasp that followed actually did manage to crack a smile on the other boy's face.
"How could you!" The hero cried. Smiling himself as he noticed Shinsou covering his mouth. "You know what? Fine! I'm ignoring you too!" He announced as he leaned back up and mimicked his boyfriend's pose. Shinsou shrugged as he forced down his smile and turned away again.
There was a beat of silence. Then another. Then Shinsou's shoulders were suddenly yanked back to the seat of the couch as his boyfriend jumped over and now was attempting to pin him down.
"WAIT!!! Denki no! N-No! Stop!! Don't you dare!" He shouted. Instantly forgetting about his little grudge as giddy panic settled in his stomach. He already knew what his boyfriend was trying to do and trying his damn hardest to get away.
Kaminari just smiled as he finally managed to straddle his frantic boyfriend. His fingers settled on his lower ribs and started to lightly trace them through his shirt.
Shinsou's hands immediately shot down to grab his wrists as his boyfriends straddled him, already too nervous to contain his laughter. The two of them had had plenty of tickle fights in the past but they usually just happened when they were just flirting or sparring with each other and they always ended with Shinsou coming out on top, but Kaminari had never actually attempted to pin him down before like he had done with his friends. Shinsou had witness first hand how ruthless his boyfriend could be when he had watched him pin Kirishima to the floor and tickle him within an inch of his life after some petty argument.
Kaminari said nothing as he rolled his hands out of the boys grip as he grabbed his wrists and held them above his head. He smiled innocently as he moved one hand to lightly graze over the boys ribs. The thin T-shirt he had on providing no protection as his fingers lightly pinched up and down his ribs at a slow pace.
Shinsou bucked and thrashed with all his might as he attempted to get free although his attempts were weakened from the butterflies raging in his stomach from being forced into such a helpless position.
"Babe, stop! Stohohohop! This-Thihihihis isn't fair!" He shouted as his legs attempted to curl in on himself only to meet the other boys back. "Let me gohohohohoho! Denki c'mon stoho-OHOHOHOP!" He wailed as the other boy suddenly let go of his wrists and shot both his hands under his arms and tickled mercilessly.
"GAHAHAHAHA-! STAHAHAHAHAP!! STOHAHAP IT- STOP YOU AHAHAHAHASSHOLE-!!" Shinsou shook his head and bucked and trashed with his arms glued to his sides. Shinsou usually had impressively high endurance but when it came to tickling, especially when Denki tickled him, he could barely last even a few minutes.
The fingers stilled when the electric hero saw how red the boys face has turned and felt him flinch as he removed his hands out from under his arms. Shinsou was now gulping in all the air he could get, still shaking and giggling but grateful for the breather nonetheless.
He was going to kill Denki for this. Absolutely murder him. Already devising a plan to enact his quirk as soon as the boy spoke and taking his revenge but noticing the boy still had not moved from on top of him.
"Ahare-are we done here?" He said sarcastically, trying his best to sound annoyed while also waiting for the boy to open his mouth to answer the question.
Denki just gave him a smug grin as he cocked his head to the side.
"You win, okay? I'm sorry for ignoring you. Get up so I can go get us some snacks, you said yesterday you wanted to watch a movie right?" Shinsou said as he rubbed the boys legs in a soothing manner, trying to convince him to speak.
Denki turned his head away from him and mimicked the pout Shinsou had on his face earlier.
Dammit. Why isn't he talking?? Shinsou thought before he realized that the other boy was still ignoring him.
"C'mon babe, I said i was sorry. Talk to me sweetie, what do you want? Movie? Cuddles? Just tell me." Shinsou tried to put on his best puppy eyes as he tried his best to convince his boyfriend to speak so that he could enact his revenge but he couldn't use his quirk if he was still ignoring him.
Kaminari pretended to think for a moment before shaking his head and sticking out his tongue childishly. Happy that he had the upper hand at the moment.
Frustrated that his plan wasn't working, Shinsou kneed him in the back as protest. Kaminari shot a frown down at his boyfriend before grabbing the other's sides and flipping him on his stomach in one quick motion.
Kaminari turned around and positioned himself on the other hero's shins.
This was the point where Shinsou really started to panic.
All it took was the feeling of one finger hooking underneath his sock to send the kid into a frenzy.
It had been years since anyone had even touched his feet, a distant memory came to the forefront of his mind of his father tickling him there years ago and just now remembering how unbearable the feeling was.
Shinsou bucked, squirmed, and fought his hardest to get away from this maniac but to no avail.
"Fuck! Denki-Nohohoho! NOHOHO-get off! Get OHOFF! I'm serious this time okay?! I won't ignore you ever again just PLEASE-"
Still no response, only a smug look from that asshole as his socks were slowly peeled off his feet.
That bastard. He knew his boyfriend well enough to know that he's gonna milk every second of this for what it's worth. Holding his ankle in place and peeling the fabric at a ridiculously slow pace, (just that was enough to send the hero into hysterics) just to rile him up and mess with his head. He figured he'd only go in for the kill the second he got bored.
Well it was working.
Poor Shinsou was so nervous at this point he couldn't even get a full word out. A steady stream of helpless giggles forced their way out of him as he hid his face in his arms, too embarrassed to even look at his attacker. He knew there was no stopping what was about to happen and he was sure the anticipation would kill him before his boyfriend did if he didn't just get on with it already.
Careful what you wish for, I guess.
He hid like that for a while and his giggles even died down a bit, he was starting to wonder if Denki had changed his mind.
As soon as the thought manifested however, he felt a single finger trace its way down the sole of his foot, and Shinsou screeched.
It went quiet for a moment. It gave Shinsou enough time to really let the mortification sink in.
God, his face was on fire. He did not just let out the loudest, most high-pitched, girliest sound he's ever made right in front of his boyfriend. If that was just one finger, Shinsou knew what was coming next was going to drive him insane. He almost hoped it'd be enough to kill him.
Another second passed before Shinsou felt those evil hands suddenly let go and his boyfriend's weight shift slightly.
"Pppffffffft!-"
Shinsou looked behind him to see Kaminari holding both hands tightly over his mouth, his face turning red from trying to hold in his laughter.
The next second the electric hero burst into uncontrollable laughter, so much that he actually fell off of the couch.
Yeah, Shinsou didn't even bother to get up.
Meanwhile, Kaminari was practically rolling on the floor with how hard he was laughing.
"DUHUHUHUDE-AHAHAHAHAHA! Are you okahahahahy?" The blond asked clutching his stomach. "Did I almohohost kill you?? Ohohohoh God, thahahat was too good."
"You really liked that, huh? You like being a fucking nuisance and trying to murder the one person who'll put up with you?" Hitoshi spat as he sat up and looked down at the other kid.
Kaminari chuckled and threw his hands up in surrender, knowing Shinsou well enough to know there was no real venom behind his words, he understood that they came from the embarrassment his boyfriend must be feeling at the moment. He would be lying if he said he wasn't a little proud being able to shake up his normally stoic boyfriend to such a degree.
"I mean, yeah, that was pretty great. I had no idea your feet were that ticklish." Kaminari laughed. "I need to do that more often. I had no clue you were even capable of reaching that kind of high not-"
Not even a minute into him talking again and Shinsou had decided he's already had enough. Taking the opportunity to finally brainwash his boyfriend.
He sat there rubbing his temples for a minute or two before commanding the other to lie on the couch so Shinsou could finally give the pest a taste of his own medicine.
Although, he couldn't lie to himself and say it wasn't at least a little bit of fun. He loved having his boyfriend's undivided attention whenever he could get it, even if it meant he had to scream like a banshee to get it. Shinsou couldn't help but smile to himself. In retrospect, it had been kind of funny.
The boy made sure to put back on his signature glare before releasing his hold over the other's mind, delighting in the panicked look on his face as he realized his situation.
Shinsou said he was going to murder his boyfriend after that little stunt and that's exactly what he's about to do.
A/N : i love atla rn. love zuko. if i encounter an awkward grumpy guy with a redemption arc in media, u bet ur ass iâm going to tickle him
Word Count : 3863
Summary : Zuko still feels like an outsider in their group. Aang and the others are gonna make sure he feels included!
hope u enjoy!!
â
âYouâre such a liar!â Katara playfully punched Sokka in the arm, drawing a laugh out of him.
âI am not! Thatâs exactly how it went down, youâre just embarrassed thatââ
âIâm not embarrassedââ
âYeah, and youâre totally not red in the face either.â
âSokka!â
This wasâŠthis was weird.Â
Before meeting Sokka and Katara, Zuko really thought âbeing angry at your siblingâ was a concept he understood better than anyone. He and Azula fought constantly back at home, it was pretty much just how they communicated with each other. Arguments aplenty, yelling and bickering by the dozen.Â
But after spending the past few weeks with his new team (the word âfriendsâ still makes him bite his tongue), heâs realized thereâs actually two different types of a sibling fight, and one of those types heâs never personally encountered before.
Heâs used to spitting insults, deep personal cuts made against your biggest insecurities. Lies and manipulation hidden under sweet smiles so no one around suspects a thing. Most fights were like dances, using careful words and holding back just enough information to make your opponent second-guess themselves. And, of course, an argument was rarely ever had without literal flames thrown around to really drive it home.
But this? This was playful bickering around a campfire just to get under each otherâs skin. Lighthearted teasing that showed how well they knew each other. There was love under each jab.
It was sorta weirding Zuko out.
He wasnât uncomfortable by it, in fact probably the opposite. It made him feel closer to the group that he was included in moments like these. He liked getting to witness how normal siblings are supposed to interact, even if he knows heâll never truly get to experience something like that himself. Zukoâs accepted his distance with Azula, and honestly itâd probably feel weirder if they did interact like this after everything theyâve gone through.
Honestly, heâs not sure why he feels weird. Maybe itâs because heâs just not as close to them all as they are to each other. Right now, Zukoâs just an awkward outsider thatâs sorta-kinda trying to fit in, and fitting in with normal people has never exactly been his strong suit. Heâs awkward and stiff and he knows it. And yet, theyâve been so open to him already. Sure, he had to prove he was over his whole âcapture the avatar to avenge my honorâ phase, but now that heâs over that hump theyâve been super cool to him.
Zukoâs weirdly enjoyed getting to know this groupâs dynamics with each other. Heâs not entirely sure how he fits in yet, but thatâs not even his biggest concern right now. Actually, his biggest concern right now might be that weird look Kataraâs got on her face.
âLying is pretty unbecoming of a warrior, dontcha think Suki?â Katara grinned over at Sokkaâs girlfriend, who chuckled into his shoulder,
âDo not get me involved inâŠwhatever this is.â
âYeah, donât drag her into this! She wasnât even there!â Sokka argued very loudly, his usual bickering style. He gripped onto Sukiâs arm with a pout, fluttering his eyelashes. âYou believe me, right?â
Suki glanced at Katara behind Sokkaâs back, and could clearly see her plotting something. Katara grinned like a loon before holding a finger up to her lips. Suki giggled, âOf course I believe you. How couldnât I believe this face?â She pinched his cheek and Sokka hummed happily. Zuko took another spoonful of soup as he watched quietly, catching on that something was about to happen. He just didnât know what.
Then, when Katara shoved her hands under Sokkaâs arms, Zuko nearly spit his soup into the fire at Sokkaâs resounding shriek. Sokka quickly fell into a fit of loud laughter, toppling over his log with Katara following after.Â
âAdmit youâre a liar!â She practically yelled over Sokkaâs obnoxiously loud cackling. âAdmit it!â
âAH! Ahaha no! YouâYouâre crahazy!â He sputtered out, shoving at Kataraâs hands to no avail.Â
Zuko felt weird watching this. Heâs not unfamiliar with the concept of tickling, but heâs not exactly accustomed to it either. Especially not with family. Sure, Uncle had been known to tweak his sides every once in a while when they were out on their own together, but never anything like this. Zuko took to awkwardly staring into his soup, hoping heâd fade into the background like he usually did at dinner time.Â
Unfortunately for him, tonight he was sitting next to Aang. Zuko felt an elbow nudge his rib, glancing over to the smiling Avatar.Â
âYâknow, Sokkaâs pretty well-known for exaggerating his stories like, a lot. Kataraâs told this story before and he didnât say a thing then. He definitely deserves this.âÂ
Zuko swallowed some soup. âThat seems likely,â he said stiffly. Zuko could feel Aangâs eyes on him at the same time he heard the scuffle quiet down.Â
âThat wasâŠâ Sokka panted, âso uncalled for. Did you have to do that in front of Suki? And the fire prince?!â Sokka whined, his hands thrown over his face.Â
âHey, if anyone deserves to know how much of a liar you are, itâs gonna be your girlfriend and the new guy,â Katara said proudly, standing up to grab another log for the fire. Sokka grumbled, crossing his arms as Suki wrapped him in a sympathetic hug.Â
Zuko decided not to acknowledge his mentioning, not sure if he should get involved in this. Apparently Aang felt otherwise.
âDid you and your sister ever play like that?â
Oh. Okay. So thatâs what Aang was thinking about.Â
The crackling of the fire seemed so much louder now that everyone had gone noticeably silent. Zuko found himself staring into it.
Katara shifted uncomfortably. âAang, maybe we shouldnâtââÂ
âNo no, itâs okay,â Zuko sat his bowl down next to his log. âI understand having questions.â
Aang continued looking at him with those big eyes of his, but Zuko kept staring into the fire. Talking about family wasnât always the easiest, but felt necessary in gaining more of their trust. They deserved to know this stuff.Â
âMy sister and I have never really been close. Weâve had ourâŠmoments. But play was rarely on the table,â Zuko said. âNot when we both had so much on the line.â
Aang pinched his lips together in thought. âSo Iâm guessing tickle fights were never on the table either, huh?â
Zuko huffed in amusement, finally peeking over at Aang. âNo, not really.â
âWait, soâŠâ Sokka spoke up, curiosity mixed with something else glinting in his eye, clearly excited about changing the subject. âDo you even know if youâre ticklish?âÂ
Toph barked a laugh from her rock stool. âYouâre just asking cause youâre tired of being the most ticklish in the group!âÂ
âHey!â Sokka exclaimed angrily before fixing his face. âLook, first of all, Iâm not the most ticklish. We all know that title belongs to Aang,â Sokka nodded towards Aang, who just grinned. âAnd secondly, being the one that gets ganged up on all the time gets a little unfair when Iâm surrounded by frickin' benders, okay?!â
Everyone but Zuko chuckled at that, which brought Sokkaâs attention back towards him. âSeriously though, fire prince. Ticklish or no?â
âUmâŠâ Zuko cringed. âI mean, yeah I guess so. ErâUncle poked me sometimes when we were on the run together, if that counts.â
âDid you not just hear Sokka begging for his life two seconds ago?â said Toph with a chuckle. âThat definitely doesnât count.â
Zuko really wasnât sure what to say. Heâs smart enough to know where this conversation seemed to be heading, and was really unsure how to feel about that. In a poor attempt to evade whatever this was, he pulled his knees to his chest and crossed his arms over them, leaving a spot to rest his head.
While Zuko mightâve been smart enough to sense the direction these questions were heading, Aang was smart enough to sense he didnât really feel comfortable with it. Not yet at least.Â
âSokka, can you tell that story about the saber-tooth moose lion? I donât think Zukoâs heard that one yet.â
Sokka gasped in excitement, his train of thought successfully derailed. âFoo Foo Cuddlypoops!â
â
The next day, Zuko had forgotten all about the attention he got last night. Sure, he thought about it some when he was trying to go to sleep that night. And sure, maybe he clutched onto his midsection a little tighter than usual as he dozed off, thinking about the loud laughter drawn out of Sokka from playful hands. It didnâtâŠit wasnât like he was actually thinking about it. Not in any real way. It was just something interesting to ponder on. A sensation relatively foreign to him that would probably make him laugh like he didnât often get to do so freely. And thinking about the fact that the rest of the group seemed curious if it would work on him was definitelyâŠit was totally nothing, really.
So likeâheâs forgotten all about it now. Itâs a new day, and Zukoâs got work to do.Â
He and Aang had been training their fire all morning, and it was finally time for lunch. Sokka had gone fishing earlier, so they all kept to doing their own thing while he cooked over the fire (a fire Aang had lit himself, by the way. Zuko felt a weird sense of pride that Aang was seriously getting the hang of this, and using it in a way he knew would make Uncle proud).
Zuko decided on meditation while he waited. He sat on the ground shirtless, honoring his Uncle as he let the sun warm his skin and settle the fire inside him. Meditation like this seemed impossible to him just a couple years ago, his impatience once too thin and his temper too fraught. But now, it came so much easier. Zuko could feel the sun working wonders in his body, keeping his fire at a healthy state while also giving him time to clear his full mind. It was truly relaxing.
Well, it was relaxing, until he felt a set of hands scribbling at the base of his spine. âGAAHAâ!â Zuko was quickly jolted out of his zone with a yelp, arching his back away with flailing arms.Â
âWhat theâ?!â Zuko whipped his head around to find Toph giggling behind him on the ground. âToph, what the heck?! Canât you see Iâm meditating!â
âWell duh, Sparky, thatâs why I did it,â She wiggled her fingers in the air teasingly with a grin. âYou never even saw it coming!â
Zuko couldnât will the flush from his face. He felt so embarrassed, getting played by a 12 year old girl like that. Zuko groaned into his palm, âWhatever, just donât do it again. Let me finish beforeââ
âLunch is ready!â Sokka yelled across camp, using Sukiâs fan to waft the smell towards his friends. Zuko groaned again, scowling at the girl who couldnât even see him doing it.Â
âTime to eat, Jumpy,â Toph snickered, getting up and following the smell. Zuko rolled his eyes before throwing his shirt back on and following behind.
For the next 10 minutes the group sat around the smoky logs no longer lit by fire, eating their food and sharing how their days have gone so far.
âGuys, Zuko showed me this really cool firebending trick earlier! Iâll show you once my stomachâs settled,â Aang said excitedly, taking a bite of the berries Katara had scavenged for him.Â
âItâs actually a pretty complicated move. I was surprised you picked it up so quick,â Zuko said, feeling a little shy. He was finally warming up enough to talk without being addressed first during these meal times, and silently hoped he wouldnât get called out on it.
âWell, thatâs Aang for you,â Katara smiled towards the Avatar. âActually, it sorta frustrated me when I first started teaching him waterbending. It took me ages to master those skills, and yet it took him no time at all.â She crossed her arms at him, teasing as if it still bothered her after all this time.
âYeah, I get that,â said Zuko. âI guess it doesnât bother me as much since Iâve already seen all the crazy stuff he can do with the other elements. Itâs not exactly new for me to see him be soâŠâ Zuko waved his hand in the air trying to find the word, but once he did he got a little embarrassed and decided against it. âWell, you know.â
âNooo, câmon, what were you gonna say!â Aang grinned beside him, poking his arm. âYou were totally gonna say âamazingâ right?â
Zuko sported a little grin of his own, peeking an eye towards Aang. âActually, I was gonna say annoying,â Zuko lied, almost chuckling at Aangâs gasp.
âOhoh snap!â Sokka giggled, stuffing his face with more fish. âYou just gonna take that, Aang?â
Toph suddenly let her stool drop to the ground, the loud bang catching everyoneâs attention. âI know how you can get him back.â
Zuko froze, staring nervously her way. Aang caught the look he was giving, and was immediately intrigued.
âOh yeah? How so?â Aang asked, before Toph leaned in and whispered something in his ear that made them both snicker.
Aang stood up with crossed arms, unable to stop smiling. âYou know, I just remembered a certain conversation we had last night about a certain weakness of yours.â Zukoâs eyes widened, his gaze darting around each person to gauge their reactions. They were all smiling, and Zuko felt a nervous twitch at the corner of his own lips.
âCmon, seriously? I know what you told him, Toph, and that was not what you think it was. You justâŠsurprised me while I was concentrating,â Zuko defended, trying really hard not to smile right now.
âYeah, tell that to the giggle you let slip,â Toph snickered.
Sokka caught on quickly with a chuckle. âOh, buddy, you are so in for it now,â he tossed his last bite of fish into his mouth. âTake it from me, itâs best to just let it happen instead of running. If you run now, everybodyâs gonna come after you.â
Zuko froze, darting his eyes back to Aang towering over him. The Avatar wiggled his fingers in the air, and Zuko knew what he had to do.
With a groan, Zuko took a deep breath, puffing his cheeks with air, and tensed his entire body. He pulled his arms close to his chest and clenched his eyes closed. He was gonna take it like a champ. A very awkward champ.
But instead of the tickle attack he had expected, he heard everyone around start laughing. He peeked one eye open and saw Aang doubled over holding his stomach through his giggles.
Katara snickered behind her hand, âFor a former prince, you really can be such a dork sometimes!â Zuko blushed, untensing his body.
âSokka told me not to run soâ!â Zuko waved his arms around awkwardly, unsure of what to do. He sighed behind his hands, feeling warm in the face. âI really donât get you people sometimes.â
Aang giggled, walking behind Zuko and plopping down. âItâs okay, youâll figure us out eventually,â he said, before digging his fingers into the back of Zukoâs ribs.Â
âAH! Ahahaâwait! Aang!â Zuko sputtered out a surprised giggle before pinching his lips closed, squirming and kicking his feet into the dirt. He giggled in his throat, trying hard not to let any sounds escape his lips. Somehow, this was even more embarrassing than Zuko thought it would be.
âOh cmon, heâs trying to hold it in!â Toph complained, pointing at her ears, âI canât exactly see your reactions, idiot, Iâm gonna need to hear it.â
Zuko shook his head, but it was getting really hard to contain himself when Aang was doing that to his sides. He kept letting out little squeaks and growls, but he could feel his chest was filling with giggles and knew it would be no time before a real laugh leaked through.
âGet his armpits! That always kills you and Sokka,â Katara called out, getting an offended, âHey, whatâs this got to do with me?!â from Sokka.
Aang listened, tickling with so much concentration his tongue poked through his lips. He tried sticking his fingers under Zukoâs arms, but the prince kept them glued tight to his sides. Aang stopped with a chuckle, looking toward the siblings. âHe wonât let me in there!â
âI canât hehelp it!â Zuko complained, but didnât move from his spot on the log. He panted, relieved for a break, but he could tell Aang wasnât finished just yet.
âAt least try to move your arms away. Câmon, I wanna hear you laugh!â Aang said, giving Zuko a poke to his lower back. When Zuko yelped and arched away, Aang snickered and tried again. And again. And again. Aang kept poking at his back like a typewriter, and Zuko let out the quickest set of giggles before standing up and backing away nervously.
âIâI cahanât. I reallyâthereâs no wayââ Zuko shook his head, embarrassed but clearly having some fun himself. Everyone giggled at his reaction, amused by how ticklish and unable to take it he seemed to be.
âWait, okay, now I want a turn,â Sokka stood up from his log and walked towards Zuko with wiggly fingers. Zuko shrinked away with a nervous chuckle, his arms wrapped around his midsection.Â
âNoho way, this is ridiculousââ
âOh cmoooon! Iâll let you get me back after!â Sokka locked his hands together to beg, âPleeease Zuko?â He pouted and bat his eyelashes at the boy. Zuko just scoffed and rolled his eyes with a grin peeking at the corner of his lips.
âYou are so stupid,â he grumbled. âThatâs not gonna work on me. Iâm not your girlfriend.â
âMaybe not, but I think I make a pretty good argument. Iâm super fun to tickle, right guys?â Sokka looked around the room. Katara shrugged.
âEh. Youâre super loud. Itâs kind of annoying.â
âKatara! Help me here!â
âErâbuuuut you do snort like a pig sometimes! Thatâs pretty funny,â she smiled toward Zuko, who just gave an incredulous look back. âI think you should do it. Heâs pretty easy to fight back if you hate it.â
Zuko took a second to think it over. No one launched towards him, no one took him by surprise. Everyone just waited to see if heâd actually be okay with it.
Spirits. Sometimes itâs really annoying how nice this group can be.Â
With a sigh, Zuko spread his arms out to the side, holding his head up high (but kept his eyes closed for good measure. Itâs really embarrassing to look everyone in the eyes right now).
âAlright, yes!â Sokka clapped his hands together, making his way behind Zuko. âOkay, see how long you can keep your arms up for. Aang and I play this game all the time.â
Zuko expected the tickle to come right after, butâŠnothing happened. He waited a few seconds, and still, nothing. Finally he got frustrated, and peeked his eyes open to see Sokkaâs hands floating just above his armpits. Seeing that freaked Zuko out way more than he expected, shooting his arms down with a yelp. Unfortunately for him, all that did was trap Sokkaâs hands right where they wanted to be, and they immediately dug into his armpits like no tomorrow.
Zuko shrieked, curling up as much as he could while standing before crumbling into a fit of screechy cackles and giggles.
âOh man, I wasnât sure that trick would work on you!â Sokka giggled, his fingertips gently but efficiently digging into Zukoâs underarms with no plan on moving.
Zuko was in stitches. He wasnât expecting this to be so unbearable, but spirits were his armpits ticklish. He could barely get a word out, pretty much babbling nonsense through his endless laughter.
âAhaha! W-waahaha! It-Itâ-gggahaha nohoho!â Zuko cackled, squirming from side to side before crumbling to his knees in laughter.Â
âFinally!â said Toph, punching Aang in the shoulder happily. âTook you softies long enough to get him actually laughing! If it was me tickling Sparky, heâd probably be in tears by now.â
âAnd thatâs exactly why you arenât allowed to tickle him,â Katara said, watching the scene with a smile. âNot yet at least. Clearly this is new to Zuko, we donât wanna run him off when we just got him.â
âSt-stahahaha! Ahaha guys!â Zuko rolled onto his back, his body overcome with giggles when Sokka started pinching lightly at his sides.Â
ââGuys?â Donât look at us, itâs Sokka youâve gotta bargain with,â Toph teased, popping one of Aangâs berries into her mouth.
âYeah! What do I get in return for stopping, huh?â Sokka said, pinching upward toward his lower ribs. That got a real good shriek out of Zuko, and everyone around couldnât help but laugh.Â
âI-! Gahaha, I dohohonâtâfffaahaha knohohow!â Zuko threw his head back as Sokka tickled all over his ribs, finally grabbing onto Sokkaâs wrists and pulling him off. Sokka pulled back with no fight, only giving him another poke in the belly to hear Zuko yelp before sitting back and letting the boy collect himself.
Zuko panted, a stray giggle escaping him as he breathed. He clutched his stomach and threw a hand over his warm face, covering his eyes. He wasnât sure how he was gonna look everyone in the eyes after that display. Oh spirits, what was he thinking? That was such a bad idea letting them take him out so easily like that. Theyâll never take him seriously again, heâs supposed to be Aangâs teacher for peteâs sake, shoot this might be really bad, this mightâ
âOhoho man that was awesome Zuko! You lasted way longer than I thought you would!â Aang giggled from above Zukoâs head. Zuko peeked his eyes out and saw Aang holding up a hand for him to high five.
Zuko couldnât help the little giggle that slipped out at that. The Avatar is soâŠsilly. He groaned and swatted Aangâs hand away, making everyone laugh.Â
âAfter you get Sokka back, itâs my turn to play!â Aang straightened his back quickly, making the T-stance with his arms that Zuko held just a minute prior. âI bet I can last longer than you!â
âPfff-â Toph laughed, slapping a hand on Aangâs shoulder. âTwinkle-toes, your record is currently four seconds without begging. You should probably start thinking your bets through before making them.â
âYou can go ahead and have your turn. Iâll get Sokka when he least expects it,â Zuko grinned, sitting up and shooting his attacker a mischievous look. Sokka gulped with a nervous giggle, darting towards Aang to tickle him and change the subject away from himself.
âAhaha wait! I wahasnât ready!â Aang cried, immediately crumbling to the floor in a fit of childish shrieks and giggles.
Zuko watched on with a smile he couldnât wipe from his face. These people were good. They worked with him at his pace. They understood things take time for him, and theyâre okay with that.Â
Zuko can tell they already see him as their friend. Heâs starting to think he can see them in the same light.

thanks for reading! consider reblogging if u enjoyed hehe <3
Megaera is at the end of her wits with Zagreusâs escape attempts. A tip from Thanatos evens the playing field.
The first time that Zagreus strides into the final chamber of Tartarus, Megaera eviscerates him in seconds. He canât even recall it happeningâjust a flash of pink, then heâs pulling himself out of the blood pool in the palace.
The fourth time that Zagreus attempts to exit Tartarus, Meg takes her time with him. Heâs read about death by a thousand cuts in the archives, but the experience is much worse than he imagined. He knows sheâs trying to make an example of himâas if anyone else would be stupid enough to do what heâs attemptingâbut the escalation feelsâŠrewarding. Heâs getting somewhere, and it must scare her.
The tenth time that he throws open the last chamber of Tartarus, Meg is actually smiling at him. He stops dead in his tracks to take it in. She doesnâtâŠdo that, not really. Itâs beautiful. Beautiful and utterly terrifying.
âHello again, Meg.â Zag stretches. Maybe he can pass off the heat on his face as exertion. Maybe. She curls her tongue along the sharp edge of her teeth and drags her eyes up and down his form.
Gods above, grant him mercy.
âZagreus.â She unspools her whip. The glowing pink braid coils languidly against the marble floors.
âNo witty rejoinder for me this time?â He twirls Stygius idly, leaving trails of simmering heat in the air. The hellfire crackling in the braziers around them is achingly cold. He welcomes the touch of warmth.
âNo time, Iâm afraid.â She cracks her whip. The end zips right past Zagreusâs cheek before returning to her. A caress.
âThen Iâll make this quick.â He rushes her. Stygius sparks and pops as it collides with the extraplanar fibers of her whip. They trade furious blows, chasing each other across every surface of the chamber. Zagreus manages to flip over a wave of razor-sharp pink magic and gets blindsided by her whip latching onto his wrist. Stygius skids across the floor.
He reaches up with his free hand towards the captive one and she yanks his arm behind his back, winding the whip over his shoulders and around his waist until heâs dizzy. She tucks the handle into the layers and gazes proudly at her workâZagreus bound, swordless, and confused.
âWhat now, then? Going to carry me back to Father on foot?â Zagreus spins as carefully as he can to stay facing her, feeling very much like a baby penguin on iceâor at least what heâs heard of them.
Her silence is unnerving. Megaera already has a shark-like aura about herâso do many of the Chthonic gods, if heâs honestâbut sheâs justâŠwatching him. Sizing him up. His skin prickles where her gaze lands.
âThis is hardly a fair fight.â He hops around to face her again. She chuckles at him, the sound bubbling from deep within her chest.
âItâs hardly a fight, Highness.â
âMegââ
âI heard something intriguing the other day.â She drags her long nail down the length of his throat, then back up, chasing his pulse from its hiding place. He kinda wants her to palm the side of his throat, let him feel the full pressure of her touch, but he knows that he is not here to get what he wantsânot this time, at least. He shivers and snickers a little at her touch, tossing his head a bit as if itâd dissuade her.
âA-alright, but what does that have to do with anythihing?â He clears his throat to purge the titters. Heâs so frazzled by this change of pace that he can feel the ends of his hair beginning to sizzle. This is her gameâalways keeping him on his toes for better or for worse.
âDonât interrupt me.â She tilts his chin up. He goes breathlessly quiet.
âI was walking through the House and mulling over just how much of my time that you insist on wasting. It would be to my benefit if I could properly dissuade you from even attempting to exit Tartarus.â Meg trails her finger along the pauldron of skulls on his shoulder.
âYou canât. You know that.â He furrows his brow. He thought they were past this. Unstoppable force versus immovable object, and all of that.
âThatâs the problem. How do I convince the most stubborn, hard-headed, cocky man Iâve ever met to quit attempting the impossible so I can do my job in peace?â
âTell me how you really feelââ
âThen I spoke with Thanatos.â Megâs eyes gleam. Zagreus swallows.
âHe can be quite forthcoming in the right conditions, yâknow. He shared something most interesting.â She gives him a long look up and down and chuckles again. Something about this doesnât smell right. Than would never give up anything on himânothing vital, at least. What could he even share? That Zag is awful on the lyre? Everyone in the House and likely surrounding Tartarus already knowsâ
âSo, Zagreus, Iâll ask you one last time. Do you still intend to leave Tartarus?â Meg plays with a piece of the whip coiled around his chest.
âOf course.â He doesnât hesitate. He knows what he has to do. No matter how oddly nervous sheâs making him.
âI was hoping youâd say that.â Meg grins again, that gorgeous unsettling smile that makes the hair on his neck raise.
Megâs fingers worm beneath the whip, tapping along the bare plane of his chest. Those wicked pink claws are not just for showâhe can feel their cruel points triangulating the precise location of his organs.
Disembowelment would certainly be a way to go.
She gives a gentle scratch over his abs and he shivers involuntarily. He bites his lip as the corners twitch up. Goosebumps flare across his skin. She digs her claws inâŠand Zagreus has the wind punched out of him in the strangest way possible.
SheâsâŠtickling him. On purpose.
âMeg, wahahait!â It comes out far shriller than he intends. Zagreusâs head collides with her shoulder and he hops in place, trying not to lose his accursed balance.
âIâll pass.â Her apathy somehow makes it worse. Her nails skim his torso and call sparks in their wake, literal jumping embers just barely visible beneath his skin. She coos at him.
âTickling is cheating!â Itâs all he can think to say. He can hear himself giggling and itâs only making him more jumpy. Her fingers catch this awful little spot near his hip and Zagreus throws his head back.
âOh, so your rampant, unhinged escape attempts have rules now?â She chuckles at him and presses her fingers into her apparently new favorite spot. His arms flex and strain against the whip, but heâs well and truly stuck.
Thereâs a plushness to his hips and waist, leftover from a lifetime of libations from the gods themselves. Meg starts pinching and poking there with deadly persistence. He hiccups his way into a giggle fit and wiggles uselessly in her arms.
He starting to regret accepting a message from Zeus to get here, because the latent lightning beneath his skin is making all of this worse somehow. His only comfort is knowing his mighty relatives canât actually see him. Hopefully. Probably.
âCanât we act like adults? Please?â His grin takes on a nervous wobble when her nails touch down yet again upon his skin.
âYou first.â Her eyes glint wickedly in the firelight. With a flourish he canât quite track, his arm gets yanked above and behind his head, leaving the right side of his torso completely exposed, collarbone to waist. Uh oh.
Zag can only imagine what he must look like. Maybe somewhat like Dusa, utterly flushed and frantic. Gods above, heâs giggling into the shoulder of a Fury. If Hades could see him, heâd filet him and send him through the Styx on principle.
Her fingers skitter under his arm ever-so-gently, like a spider in a web. Zagreus cackles.
âHm. Seems promising. What do you think?â She presses her thumbs into the divots of his ribs.
He glares and belly-laughs in responseâthatâs definitely cheating. She only knows about that spot from Thanatos, which isnât fair. Heâs not quite sure about the logistics around killing Death himself, but heâs certainly going to try it the next time that they meet.
Meg tries pressing her thumb where his chest meets his ribs, just beside his pec, and he chokes sharply on an inhale.
âMegaera. Meg.â Zagreus fixes her with the most composed, imploring look he can manage. âIâm sorry, alright?â
âRight. Just to be clear, youâre not sorry when Iâm touching you here?â She starts tickling his stomach again and he folds faster than one of Charonâs expended wells. It justâŠit tickles, okay, and her nails are dismantling every functioning neuron he has.
âNo, I am! I ahaham!â He shrieks. Heâs used to dirty tricks, but even then, he gets to fight back. Itâs not fair, being at her mercy. Their whole thing relies on the push and pull, not theâŠsqueal and writhe. Which heâs doing in spades.
Itâs also not fair the way that his knees betray him, because he falls to the ground much faster than he would like. It gets him away from Megâs hands for a second and he gratefully gulps in air, but then he sees her eyeing his feetâ
Oh, absolutely not.
âNo! Nohoho, waitwaitwaitâMeg, truly. Please. Iâm sorry.â He holds up his hands in the best surrendering gesture that he can manage. She smirks and drags a finger up the sole closest to her. The lack of oxygen has dimmed the hellfire a bit, letting her poke at him lightly with only a mild hiss of pain.
Zagreus squeals at an earth-shaking pitch and tries to roll away, but Meg grabs a coil of the whip and stops him.
âThat bad, hm?â She kneels over him, blotting out the braziers burning in the chamber.
âAlright, youâve had your fun. Let me up?â Zagreus shimmies against the ground. Meg leans close, close enough for him to smell the thick scent of ambrosia on her breath.
So she did drink it. Point to Zag.
âIf I untie you, are you going to surrender?â She raises an unimpressed eyebrow.
âNo, but I will go easy on you.â He grins.
âGods, youâre insufferable.â She kneels beside him. The coils of the whip loosen around him and he starts to sit up, but then heâs yanked into the air by his ankle and right into her grasp.
âGotcha,â she smirks. She raises her hand to his foot again and panic takes overâhe kicks her in the shoulder with his free foot, using the momentum to flip out of her grasp. In a flash, he dashes to Stygius and kicks the sword up into his hand.
âAt least give me the dignity of a death by your hand?â He holds the blade up between them, but it feels more like heâs hiding behind it.
âDonât say I never did anything nice for you.â Meg shakes her head, but the fond smile on her face doesnât melt.
âŠ
âMy prince.â Hypnos gives an exaggerated bow. Zagreus shakes out the blood of the Styx in a way that would make Cerberus proud.
âWhatâs got you soâŠanimated?â Zagreus tilts his head.
âWho, me? Nothing, nothingâsay, is there a comedy club in Tartarus that I donât know about?â Hypnos chews on the end of his quill and looks up with wide, innocent eyes.
ââŠnot that I recall. Itâd certainly lighten the mood.â Zag works out a knot in his shoulder. Even reformed, he swears his lungs and limbs still ache.
âRight, right. Itâs just interesting becauseââ Hypnos leans forward, his unassuming grin suddenly predatoryâ âIt says here that you died of laughter.â
Zagreusâs skin burns. He opens and closes his jaw a little, eyes darting around. Hypnos gives a warbling laugh. He yelps when his scroll disintegrates in a rush of hellfire.
âJeez. Tough crowd.â Hypnos reaches forward and flutters his fingers under Zagreusâs jaw. He giggles, startled, and smacks his hand away. Hypnos laughs again and watches him flee the throne room.
He doesnât think heâs ever been more grateful that Hades isnât here.
When he catches Megâs eye while strolling past the lounge, he walks just a little faster towards his room.
Clark lets something slip. Lois canât let it go.
Saw Superman and wrote this in a fugue state. Might be bad. Donât care. Have fun. Theyâre very shmoopy in this one!! Spoiler-free too!
In hindsight, Clark can see how he did this to himself. Lois tells him often that heâs too trusting, but he never would have applied that to her.
They were at Loisâs as they often were, and a bottle of wine led to talking, then to more. Heâd lifted her up on the counter, rattling the cabinet doors as she kissed him senseless. Heâd been staring at her mouth all nightâshe had a new lipstick shade and it was driving him nuts. Now, she was kindly painting him with it.
She hooked her legs around his hips and drew him closer, kissing down his jaw. His whole being crackled and sparked at her touch, the response to her call, and he leaned into it. She tipped her face into his throat, brushing her lips teasingly over his pulse. His heart lurched to answer her, but his bodyâŠ
A giggle bubbled out of Clark and he twitched away. They stared at each other for a long moment, blinking at each other. Lois raised an eyebrow, and when it was clear she wouldnât speak, he chuckled nervously.
âOff the recordââ he grinned shyly, shifting his hands on her hipsâ âIâm a little ticklish. Sorry.â
âOff the record, huh?â Loisâs eyes sparkled in the dim light. She latched back onto his neck like a vampire. He shivered and snickered quietly. It wasnâtâŠunpleasant.
âYeah. Canât let the tabloids hear thahahat.â He leaned away from her wicked teeth.
âNo, of course not.â Lois pressed her mouth more intently into his skin, but he should have taken her smile as the warning that it was.
âŠ
âYou are blowing this way out of proportion.â Clark shakes his head. He coolly and calmly reaches for the mugs in her cabinets.
âWhat? That Superman is deathly ticklish?â Lois reaches out to pinch his side. He catches her wrist before she even gets close. She tries to get him with the other hand and he captures that too.
âDeathly is a bit dramaticââ
âThen stop fighting back and let me find out for myself.â Lois leans forward conspiratorially. Clark knows that heâs too far gone for her when his first thought isnât to flee.
âItâs reallyâŠIâmâŠLois, it cannot possibly be this entertaining to you,â He chuckles, flabbergasted. She narrows her eyes like a predator. She tries her wrists in his grasp, but quickly gives up.
âSo you agree? Youâre wildly ticklish and itâs adorable?â Loisâs evil smile shows off the gap in her teeth. Clark tries not to get distracted by it.
âI didnât say that.â He lifts her up onto the counter by the arm and she lets him, like a ragdoll. He boxes her in, both her hands still easily caught in his. On habit, he rubs circles into her wrists with his thumb.
âI did. Itâs cute. You have a nice laugh.â Her eyes rove over his face and she may as well have heat vision, the way he pinkens beneath her gaze.
âThank youââ Lois perks up at the almost admission and Clark points sternly at herâ âBut Iâm not. You justâŠsurprised me.â
âYou can hear your motherâs heartbeat several states over, but I...surprised you?â Okay, yeah, he hears how that sounds. He has to get ahead of this, though. If Lois tells Jimmy, he will never know peace again.
âYes. Like this.â He squeezes her sides a few times and she tries to climb up the wall. Loisâs laugh is a beautiful, brash thing, hardly ever quiet and always a little raspy. She shoves at his shouldersâitâs like a fly trying to push bedrockâand a snort slips out. Clark grins wider than he thinks he ever has.
Gosh, he loves her. The immediacy and strength of his fondness is overwhelming, surging in his chest like one of his powered breaths. He lets her go, brushing her hair from either side of her face. Her whole face crinkles beneath the weight of her smile.
âYou see how that could be surprising? I was distracted.â He rests his arms on either side of her thighs.
âYeah, I guess so.â She tips his chin up with her finger, reeling him in with a pull greater than his own. He smiles into it, happy to be coaxed and led by her.
âMmm, thank youââ He says between kisses, hardly leaving room for his breath to make the wordsâ âfor understanding.â
He leans in, fully capturing her lips with his own. He gravitates towards her with his whole being, the moon lit by her sun, and she pulls him in without hesitation. Her hands slide down his backâ
Her hands slip under his shirt, her nails skittering like spiders. Clark shrieks and twists away, but she follows him out of the kitchen with deadly accuracy. He backs up against the arm of the couch and goes fully over. Sheâs on top of him in seconds, drawn to the plane of his stomach as if itâs where her hands belong. It starts him giggling (embarrassing) and hiccuping (worse), leaving him to disintegrate and pray Perry remembers him fondly.
âYou are so cute. How are you real? Youâre damn near indestructible but this gets you?â She leans down to pepper featherlight kisses over his neck, laughing all the while. Clark makes a noise so high-pitched that for a moment he worries that Krypto might come crashing through the wall.
âLois!â He crunches in on himself. His laughter is so far out of the realm of control that he doesnât even try. She zeroes in on the evil little spot that connects his pecs to his ribs, working it like a button designed specifically for her amusement. His legs jerk up towards his chest, flinging her further forward onto him.
âIâm stuck, Clark. Youâll have to lift your arms for me.â Lois shrugs innocently. Clark narrows his eyes at her. She pouts and flutters her lashes.
Clark slowly, achingly, lifts his arms, a nervous smile twitching over his lips. She pats his sides praisingly and leans down towards himâa kiss would be ample reward for the torment and heâs happy to accept.
âHow many times do I have to say that youâre too trusting before you believe me?â Lois shoves her hands under his arms, right into the open target, and Clark jumps five feet into the air. Quite literally, in fact.
âDid you just fly away from me? Holy shit!â Lois cackles. Clarkâs face burns bright red.
âItâs not that funny.â He crosses his arms, but hovering at eye level next to her ceiling-mounted planter doesnât help his image.
âYouâre right. Whatâs funny is you thinking that I canât get you up there.â Lois pulls out one of those extendable duster things from the broom closet and slides a clean, fluffy pad onto it. He furrows his brow.
âIâm not a spider, Lois,â Clark huffs, but he canât wrap his head around her game here. She climbs up on the couch, stretches up onto her tiptoes, and swats at him with the duster. He bats it away easily, but sheâs persistent, and soon he finds himself drifting into a corner.
She pushes some kind of button on the handle and the thing extends several feet, rocketing the fluffy end right into the crook of his neck. He makes a noise somewhere between a boiling tea kettle and a guitar being smashed, a nonsensical collision of panic and mirth that completely overrides all his good sense. He drops a foot or two before catching himself.
She clumsily attacks now that heâs closer. He fights with everything he has not to snap her dusterâmoney is tight and she just bought it. It still smells new. Lois cackles like some sort of supervillain as she darts back and forth across the couch. If Clark could speak for laughing, heâd ask her how long sheâd been planning this. When it comes to Loisâs plans, itâs truly anyoneâs guess.
Taking advantage of the distraction, Lois leaps up and grabs his ankle. Thatâs all the warning he has before there are nails beneath his toes. Clark shrieks and tries to lift his leg, but he lifts her with it and she doesnât stop.
âA-Alright! Let me breheathe!â He laughs wildly, legs trembling with the effort not to kick.
âYou donât need to breathe.â
âYeah, but Iâd like to!â His voice cracks and Lois finally, blessedly, relents her attack. He lifts her up into his arms and lowers them back to Earth on wobbly legs.
âGosh, would you stop it?â He laughs and grabs her hands again. He sees her mouth âgoshâ, ever-teasing, and he magnanimously chooses to ignore it. His mind and nerves are buzzing too much to provoke her again, besides.
âI will personally let this go, but I am telling Jimmy. He has a right to know thisâŠcrucial intel. Ethically.â The mock severity of her tone sends a zing of fear through him. Jimmy, who does not know his secret, and whom Clark therefore cannot fly away from. Jimmy, who expects Clark to be as strong as one of his favorite wrestlers at most.
âNope. Youâre not.â He throws her over his shoulder and locks in on her hips, pulling the raspy, bright laughter from her that heâs fallen so helplessly in love with. He tosses her on her bed and crawls after her, tickling mercilessly until she makes a compelling argument for different activities with her mouth.
When he wakes up squealing the next morningâLoisâs hands are ice cold and on his stomachâhe better understands the magnitude of mistake that heâs made, but he canât bring himself to care. Heâd happily trade a new and silly weakness for the strength of her love. His dignity is worth pennies beside her smile.
He does rethink this, of course, when Lois casually drops her findings in the break room and Jimmy pounces on him like a feral cat. He catches her eye through mirthful tears and new smudges on his crooked glasses, but his perspective doesnât shift.
seymour made the horrible mistake of letting his plant discover he was ticklish when it was a baby and now its taller than him and stronger than him and can talk. its all downhill from here
Summary: Steph wants to know if Peter, Ruth, and Richie want to come over to her place, but Ruth and Richie have decided to be pains in the ass so Peter doesn't think they should be allowed to.
They don't exactly take too kindly to that :)

Peter was hanging out with Ruth and Richie at Richieâs after school.
Well, technically, they were supposed to be studying for the biology test at the end of the week, but it was only Monday, and none of them were that nervous about it.
And, the call of Super Smash Bros was just too strong to resist.
After winning his third game in a row, and subsequently performing his third victory dance, his friends started getting really competitive, which was a little terrifying considering the baseline level of Ruthâs competitiveness on any given day.
âCome on, Peter!â Ruth whined after a Smash Attack sent her flying off the platform, âWhen the hell did you get good at this? What happened to little Petey Pie who used to jump into the void all the time?â
Peter dodged an attack from Richie, floating up into the air just to slam back down, âHe got sick of his friends kicking his ass all the time and decided to do some ass-kicking of his own. HA! Take that, fucker!â
The screen flashed as Ruth and Richie groaned, proclaiming Peter as the victor once more.
âYou are not playing as your main next time! You can be, like, Doctor Mario or something.â Richie was already setting up the next game thanks to his eternal claim as player one.
Iâm the best of you! And youâre the best of me! And together we are freeâ
âHey Steph! Whatâs up?â
Peter ignored the way Richie gagged at the sound of his ringtone and how Ruthâs eyes lit up at Stephâs name, pressing his phone against his ear with his shoulder in order to select Steve from the collection of avatars before either of his friends could get to it.
âOh, nothing much!â Stephâs voice came through a little tinny, and Peter wouldnât be surprised if he was on speaker while she did some chores around the house.
âI was just wondering if you had anything planned tomorrow night.â
As Steph was talking, Ruth was doing her level best to crawl across Peterâs lap and put her ear up to his phone despite his attempts to elbow her away.
âLemme hear!â Ruth hissed.
Peter just stuck his tongue out and redoubled his efforts.
âUh, no, not really!â His phone jostled as Richie tried to wedge it out from under his ear and Peter had to snatch it back, âWhy do you ask?â
âAre you doing alright over there, Pete?â Stephâs voice was tinged with amusement as though she could see the human pretzel that Ruth and Richie were dragging him into.
âYeah! Everythingâs fine!â Peter swatted Richieâs prying hands while attempting to use his feet to keep Ruth away, âWhat were you gonna ask?â
He could hear something rustle as Steph picked her phone up, turning it off of speaker mode and holding it up to her ear.
He could also hear the overlapping âCome onnnnnnn,â and âWe just wanna say hi!â from his friends as Richie tried once again to worm his fingers around Peterâs phone.
âAh!â And wriggling right against his neck.
Silence echoed as Ruth and Richie exchanged evil looks.
Aw fuck.
ââif you three would want to hang out at my place?â Peter had missed the first half of that sentence due to the now-sporadic squeezes at his knees and more purposeful scratching at his neck, but he was sure that he could make an educated guess.
âI, uh, I donât know if they can mAKE ihit.â
Heâd nearly gotten through the whole sentence without cracking, but then Ruth had started spidering her fingers in the soft spot behind his knees which she knew was unfair, and a small squeak had broken through.
Peter did his best to seal his lips shut as Steph said, âAw, are you sure? My dad will be out and I can order all of us pizza.â
âMhm!â
You see, Peter would feel bad about lying to Steph on a regular day. But, considering that his friends had decided to be conniving assholes today, he figured that she would forgive him just this once.
âAre you sure that youâre alright? You sound kindaâŠnervous.â
Steph sounded genuinely concerned, so Peter kicked Ruth back into the couch and threw an elbow into Richieâs gut so that he could scramble to his feet, trying to subtly catch his breath.
âYeah, sorry!â They were both already up and after him, so Peter had to dodge grabbing hands as he said, âItâs just that I think Ruth and Richie are too busy being annoying little brats to hang out tomorrow night!â
Twin gasps echoed through the room as both Ruth and Richieâs jaws dropped in indignation.
âHow dare youââ
âSpankoffski get your lying ass over here!â
Peter dove out of the way just in time to hear Stephâs âOhhhhhhhh,â of realization before she broke out into laughter.
âYou really had me worried for a second there, Pete!â Richie caught him around the waist and started the not-so-difficult process of wrestling him to the ground, âMaybe you can come over and they can join when they learn to behave!â
It seemed like Ruth heard that last part as she let out an affronted âHEY!â
âYeah, I think that would be bESTâWait! Richie nononono shihihihit!â
Ruth managed to pry his phone out of his hands as Richie went straight for the kill, drawing out frantic cackles with ruthless clawing at his ribs.
âHey, Steph!â Ruth said cheerfully as a sudden jump to Peterâs upper ribs startled a shriek out of him before falling back into hysterics.
âThis is for playing the same overpowered character in Smash Bros! SMASH ATTACK!â Richie cried as he vibrated a hand into his victimâs stomach, prompting him to curl up in hopeless defense.
Meanwhile, Ruth was still talking to Steph, âOh, we would love to come over to hang out! But,â she added, cutting Peter a sly glance, âwe donât want to intrude if Peter doesnât want us there!â
She stood there for a moment, nodding to whatever Steph was saying, âOf course! Here, you can ask him yourself!â
And then she hit a button on his phone and Stephâs voice rang out, âHey Pete! So, I was just talking to Ruth and I wanted to double-check if you were totally sure about them not being able to make it tomorrow night.â
âSteheheheph! Hehehehelp!â Was all he could get out in between fits of laughter.
His friends broke out into giggles as Steph said, âI canât do much for you right now, but if you bring Ruth and Richie over I could help you out with some well-earned revenge! How does that sound?â
Peter could feel Richieâs fingers falter at the threat and see the faint blush rising on Ruthâs face through the tears that had begun to form in his eyes.
âOkay! Deal! They can come!â He took advantage of Richieâs moment of hesitation to get out his response and quickly rolled away, popping up to snatch his phone back out of Ruthâs hands.
âSee you tomorrow! Love you! Bye!â And he hung up the phone to the sound of Stephâs laughter before whirling around to his so-called friends.
Peter flung one choice finger out at Ruth, âFuck you!â
And then the other at Richie, âFuck you more!â
They just grinned at him as he slumped back down on the couch and reached for his controller, âI think I deserve to kick your asses for a bit now.â
The groans that they let out were undermined by the way they both picked up their own remotes before sitting on either side of him. Richie leaned against Peter while Ruth dropped her head on his shoulder, and the warmth seeped through to his very core.
Well, Peter thought as Richie hit play, there are definitely worse ways to spend an evening than with my two best friends.
