I Read “ The Power of Friendship, Dreams, and Determination” by @gearstorm (Gear_Storm on AO3; I’ll link the fic in comments to avoid tagging issues!) and immediately wanted to draw this one scene from it! I wasn’t able to pull it off exactly how I wanted to but I’ve been banging my head against this for so long if I don’t post it now I never will! There’s only one chapter of the fic as of posting this but it’s SO good I highly recommend checking it out!

The biggest difference you all have to consider between Tenna and Flowery, out side all the actual important character stuff, is that Tenna is literally Doomed By The Narrative. It's straight up written on the walls that homie's getting sliced, and almost everything he does in Chapter 3 is recontextualized with the knowledge that there's both a metaphorical and literal executioner's sword just out of frame.

Whereas Flowery naruto ran his way into giving ol' Rory the idea to do another one hamburgerstyle.
