Just wanted to let you know that the frog has not been giving out coins since the last few updates. I don't know if others are having this problem. No rush though! I love the sunflowers!

Hi! I love the new items in the shop, the food dishes are so sparklely and the teal flowerpot is awsome. However, the app update still hasn't brought the geckos back, food doesn't empty and the toad hasn't opened it's mouth for tokens again.

Hello! How do you gain coins? Is the frog ornament the only source?

Yes, currently the lucky frog is the only source! In the future there may be other ways to earn coins. You can keep an eye on our social media as well to make sure you catch any events or giveaways that might include coins as a prize!

Hello! I love your app! A few quick questions. First off, why does the GUI respond so slowly? Secondly, Do you think there will be any future updates where you could possibly interact with your geckos? Third off, do you think that there would be any kind of new items added in the shop rather than the variants of the ones we have already? I'm not saying I dislike the variants, but now that we have the bowls and flower pots, I'd like to know if any new items will be added like possibly plants? <3

Hey there!!

Unfortunately, sometimes the GUI is slow to respond because of a bug on Apple’s behalf– we’ve done everything we can to make it better. Now that iOS 10 is out, we’re going to see if things have changed and hopefully we’ll have a fix for you all as soon as we can! For now, if the app is running slowly, try force quitting (by double-clicking the Home button and swiping the app up) and starting it again.

Yes, more gecko interaction is definitely on our future features list! We want to finish up the Shop system and get a good variety of items in before moving on to any other big new change, but we’ll definitely keep you posted on that!

You’ll be happy to know that new items are in the works! The reason variants got released first is because they’re fairly quick to make and we wanted to be able to get the Shop update out to people as fast as possible, but cool new items are coming your way soon, including different plants, garden furnishings, and even environments!

9/7/16 Version 1.4 has hit the App Store, bringing you the long-awaited Shop! New items will be added weekly, so keep an eye out and save up those coins! (Version 1.3 came out earlier this week but unfortunately had a very big bug-- our apologies to anyone who had to deal with that! Thank you to everyone who messaged us about it. Make sure to download the latest version for a good, bug-free experience.)

Hey everyone! Our artist will be live streaming some Gecko Garden progress work today (9/2/16) at 6PM Eastern Standard Time. It will probably run for about 2 hours at least, so jump in and chat whenever you want! Fans who come watch will not only get to see to see new garden items (and possibly geckos) being created, they will get to ask questions and talk directly with part of our team! Depending on how the stream goes, fans might even get a chance to give some input on the new items being released soon. Throws money at you to make this game on Android in the near future!!! I'm always watching your Facebook and tumblr for new pictures and stuff. if I still had my iPod touch, I'd be downloading in a heartbeat. The art is so cute!

We are actually looking at different possible revenue streams at this time, although we don’t want to rush to implement anything that would cheapen the user experience which is why we’re considering both in-game and external ways people could support the app (our real geckos cost real money to feed, unfortunately.) The good news is that this could allow us to justify prioritizing Gecko Garden’s development in order to bring you all new features faster and perhaps even something like an Android release sometime in the future! Don’t worry, Gecko Garden will never become a frustrating pay-to-win game, that’s for sure. But for those of you who have expressed a desire to support the development team, we’d love to set up a way for you to do so that would allow us to thank you, whether that’s through selling merchandise, offering optional in-app purchases, or in exchange for perks under a system like Patreon or Kickstarter!
