Starting the push to catch up, I’m going to be combining the next few prompts into sets of two. Here’s days 6 and 7 Horror and Delight. I maybe leaned a little heavier on the first one maybe.

Love conquers all (or at least it’s better than the alternative) by John Broadley
pumpkin gfs because its october why not 🎃
A friendly guide to describing your OCs (to your artists):
-When describing them, DON`T:
✿ Write 3 pages about your character. One paragraph is more than okay. A few pages for just a general idea of your character will be unconfortable for your artist to keep handy and picture your character correctly.
✿ Include their backstory. Its irrelevant for your artist to know all the details for your ocs personal life.
✿ Just say “its a nice guy :)” try to use descriptive, objective words to describe briefly their personality. The same can be applied to “shes beautiful”. What is beautiful to you? Talk about their specific features!
-Please DO:
✿ Keep it short and simple.
✿ Include their personality! Facial features mean nothing if we dont know what their demeanor is like! Want expressive art? Be sure to include their personality.
✿ Be as objective as you can. Talk about their body shape, the size and shape of their nose, the color of their hair, specific markings, etc.

I think backstories are cool n all but if I’m getting through a commission queue, I don’t have time to set aside and read them.
I commission other artists like I prefer to be commissioned.
-I provide an image gallery/reference gallery (often with work of the same character done by me or another artist, but sometimes just references and face claims if that’s all I have.) -Give like a 1 sentence/4 word description of their personality (example: tired, sarcastic, regal, secretly compassionate.) -and then any additional notes that might be hard to see otherwise (eye color, a specific scar, a tattoo, etc.)
Sometimes I’ll provide a short backstory summary buuut if I do, it’s rarely more than a paragraph and I preface it with “The following is not mandatory information to read! Just backstory stuff!” and I put it at the very end.
Make your commission email EASY TO READ and CONCISE and your artist will LOVE YOU
YEEEEESSSS Also having all that info in a dense paragraph makes it really hard to go back and find that one thing I’m looking for. Like if I’m coloring and I don’t remember what the eye color was supposed to be it’s a lot harder to find it hidden in a dramatically written dense paragraph than to find it in a simple list/short paragraph about the face.

I finished it! The Genghis family go to the farmer’s market. Mom comes too and everyone pretends they don’t see her lurking. She buys three scones and an apple cider. Doc Schnauz can’t really smell the mangoes, but he always seems to pick the best ones anyway.
p.s. if you are the one person in the universe who hasn’t seen this music video yet: here, you’re welcome
what do people do if they’re not obsessed with anything
This is fucking outrageous. Not content with trashing free trans healthcare on the NHS, which already sucks, now transphobes are getting private clinics fucked over.
who is philip and where’s he gettin all this head from 😳
not true cause lesbians
elizabeth swan and will turner are actually SO romance in the first movie and not enough people acknowledged this because the early 2000s were the age of the edgelords who only valued jack sparrow’s moral ambiguity and that is the TRUTH
the part where she’s like “how many times do i have to tell you to call me elizabeth” and he shyly says “once more, miss swann” and once she walks away he gazes adoringly after her and whispers “elizabeth” to himself like he’s unworthy of it
then when he’s patching up the cut on her hand and she flinches and he says “i know, blacksmith’s hands… they’re rough” because he thinks that’s what’s bothering her HE KNOWS HE’S NOT WORTHY OF HER!!! THAT’S THE PINING I’M TALKING ABOUT BINCH!!! I DON’T ACCEPT LESS!!!!
he has like 10 chances to confess his love to her but waits until he’s dressed like this to do it:
my man knows 1) the importance of a good outfit when shooting your shot 2) how to ACCESSORIZE. take NOTES.
That’s how I would dress if I was gonna confess my undying love to Kiera knightley
i like how writing realistic worlds and characters is so important for so many writers to the point where they agonize over it. meanwhile lemony snicket was just like “death to reality. im gonna write this whole ass series and with god as my witness, absolutely fucking NOBODY is gonna act like a person.”
Daniel Handler, after downing whatever the hell he was on: The baby has piranha teeth and can take a trained swordswoman in a fight.
All of us: Fucking genius.
readers: what time and place is this set in? Daniel Handler: Yes.
shoutout to blood we have a lot of it

Chuck Tingle said all our rights.
…omg.
I think it’s important we all remember this author became famous for writing gay “Dino-porn” erotica, and then proceeded to branch ever outward from that niche into political satire & social commentary erotica
“i do not dream of labor” yes u do. labor is fulfilling. u dream of a world where ur labor isnt exploited and its that or starvation. i guarantee u dream of labor. labor is a necessity and in and of itself is a good thing.
if u dream of having a garden, of painting murals, cooking or baking for people, researching in a lab, or writing stories, u dream of labor. which is good! we all jus hate having our labor exploited and being underpaid for the value of our work. nobody wants to just sit at home and do NOTHING as quarantine proved! in and of itself labor is fulfilling and contributes to the betterment and advancement of society, too many people are just barred by arbitrary divides (class, education) and unable to perform labor they’d be best suited for, or that type of labor (arts, service industry) is undervalued and underpaid.
