Day in Fandom History: November 4…
Steven thinks his favorite ice cream sandwiches, unable to get over at the store, are the trick to summoning his magic gem shield, but he learns otherwise when facing off against an acid-spewing insect monster. The first episode of Steven Universe, “Gem Glow”, premiered on this day, 9 Years Ago.
doctor who is like. this is the cheesiest shittiest stupidest show I've ever seen. it is also perfect and it continues to affect my emotions and personality years after the fact.
THE DREAM CONTINUES!

Sorry if I sound pretentious, but the thing about byler making sense is not about being a delusional person who make theories that are far-fetched (ok some takes are actual reaches like no, the green dinosaur behind Will doesn’t mean that they’re endgame) but it is about critical thinking. You have to question the writing and directional choices.
For example:
Why did they write Mike acting like he didn’t care about d&d, but the next season he joined a d&d club?
Why did they write many characters complaining about Mike and El’s relationship during s3?
Why did they write and direct Mike and El’s break up as a comedy, but then Mike and Will’s fight as something dramatic in the rain? And they are shot similarly to contrast them.
Why did they write Max saying to El that Mike would come back crawling for forgiveness, and he did that but not for El?
Why do they always develop El when she isn’t around Mike?
Why did they write Max insisting to Mike that El is her own person and can make her own choices?
Why did they write Mike saying that he acted selfish, jealous, unfair, and wanted El to himself because of “love”?
Why did they write Mike left confused when El kissed him and said ily in the end?
Why was hopper’s letter voiceover used to show Mike’s inner thoughts about Will and not his girlfriend?
Why did they decide to show Will’s feelings towards Mike in the same season that Mike couldn’t say ily to his girlfriend?
Why did they put Will in every happy mil3ven moment?
Why didn’t Mike hug Will in the airport and acted awkward when he saw the painting when Mike loved Will’s art, and he used to initiate physical contact with him?
Why did Mike avoid the question when El asked him if he didn’t love her anymore?
Is it a coincidence that the fight that ended st*ncy in s2 was about Steve confronting Nancy about her not loving him anymore? And then the Wheelers talking about that fight with the Byers brothers, who are in love with them?
Why did Mike only let himself be vulnerable and open up about his insecurities with his best friend and not with his girlfriend?
Why did Will comfort him with his words and feelings that Mike couldn’t get with his girlfriend?
Why was Will in the middle of the shot when Mike and El reunited? And why is that scene framed similarly to Robin watching Vickie with his bf?
Why did Will say “you’re the heart” to Mike seconds before he started his monologue? Why was it necessary that they reminded Mike and the audience about the van scene and the lie about the painting?
Why was Will in the shot when Mike say ily for the first time?
Why did they shoot the monologue that way, with dark colors and Mike’s face with harsh shadows on his face? Why it isn’t an intimate moment, Will is in many shots behind Mike, and the camera switches to Jonathan and Will’s expressions. We know they can frame a monologue like it was just between them, even if there are more people in the room. For example, Mike’s monologue in s2.
Why did they write Mike asking El if she could hear him many times during the monologue?
Why has Mike never told El that he loves her, looking directly into her eyes?
Why did they write that El lost even with Mike’s love “confession”?
Why did they write that El would revive Max with their memories together? And some of them were about how there was more in life than stupid boys.
Why did they decide that El and Mike won’t have another conversation (on-screen) after the monologue?
Why did they write Will asking if El had spoken to him, and Mike responding not much?
Why did they contrast El shutting the door (almost) in Mike’s face and Will confiding in Mike at the end of the season?
Why did Mike and Will stand next to each other between the other canon couples in the last shot?
