alcina - has a family. she has her daughters who she cares for deeply

donna - Had a family. it's gone now.

moreau - craves a family and the connection that comes with it

heisenberg is the hatred of family. he doesnt feel kinship with the people in his 'family', and he has no desire for a family.

alcina and moreau both wish for miranda's attention, donna it's less clear but she clearly mourns her family and misses them, but heisenberg has no care for family, which i think is actually part of what makes his dynamic with ethan so interesting. ethan is such a devoted family man, we've *seen* the feats he's willing to go through to save his family. he loves his family above all else

heisenberg couldn't understan ethan because he couldn't understand the care for one's family to that level. he couldn't understand that ethan's family and their safety would come above all else. above power, above his own life
