I haven't posted in a few years now (and I figured I probably wouldn't again), but I still see a few old mutuals active here, so let's do it:
Life is good. Asher and I live somewhere leafy, green, and reasonably quiet. We have plenty of space and light and love in our home, and we've just welcomed the newest member of our family - a sweet black and white girl cat called Comrade (Commie for short).
We've also just celebrated our fourth(!) wedding anniversary, which we welcomed in with a quick trip to Barcelona (definitely a welcome break after a few cold months of British winter). We're currently in the process of renewing Asher's visa for the last time before he's allowed to stay here in the UK permanently, though he made it home years ago now.
Things are good outside of our personal lives too. I'm about to finish master's degree #2, with a view to start a doctorate next year. I'm at a job I enjoy, and the money is pretty ok (for the UK). Asher is finally able to work just a little rather than his old six days per week, and has done important work with charities helping immigrants like him. He's even due to start a degree early next year, which seemed impossible once. I am truly very proud of him, every day.
I hope life is good and peaceful for you too, reader. If not, endure and push until it is - you will find your way
