Ladies and gentlemen and gems of all ages we are on day 3 of our are poll!
Our finely crafted instruments have shown that still holds a commanding first place lead with over a 10% gap
But whats this!? My word in a shocking turn of events blue has taken second place from yellow could we see a shocking upset in making ladies and gentlemen and see blue catch up to white!? Only time will tell!
But let us not underestimate yellows popularity with such a close match for second place we cant count her out yet!

I loved White being so motherly to Hema in the Legacy, will it still be like that in the rewrite?? I loved their bond sm 💗
[[OOC: The best we can say it is, Legacy never got to the true meat of their dynamic, but it will in the chapters that are coming on the horizon. White may not be a 'mother' but she IS Hema's teacher, and that bond remains. It's just... Well, you'll see!]]

Also, question for the authors! In the rewrite, will each arc be longer, and what is a round about target word count? (This is just to know for when I book bind lol,)

[[OOC: Unfortunately we don't have a word count target! We just go with wherever the writing gods take us LMAO;; We do, however, at least want to aim for chapters being a /bit/ more consistent in length. No more '10 page chapter' followed by '47 page chapter' nonsense. Apologies that that doesn't really help with book targets!
We can say though that the Arcs will ALSO aim to be more equal in size, aside from the special Finale ones. [4, 8, and at least 1 other] Those tend to be shorter and more focused.
As for how they'd react, Yellow gets pretty indignant about being called Cute, Blue HATES it actively when it's said to her face, and White just kinda smirks and doesn't have much of a reaction.~
And I believe she blushes a slightly warm gray! not pink by any means, but a warmish darker gray than her skin.~ So thanks to relativity, it translates as 'pink'. It's not as strong as White in canon SU!]]

Is there any prominence behind white diamond having the third eye looking tattoo? (Or maybe just a nod to canon white having a forehead gem?)

Blue: "I mean wear whatever you want, Sparky. But we all know why you stopped wearin' em. I think it'd be HILARIOUS if you put one on full time again, after all, it's YOUR butt on the line, literall-"
Here's everything we can share without major spoilers.
Pink is very much gone even though Steven has not been born yet on Earth, as chapter 1 takes place before she's met Greg. She will never come back in the story as a Diamond.
Pink was the last Diamond to emerge. She was very, very late.
Pink's powers remain very close to her SU powers! Healing tears, plant magic that can create sentient plant soldiers that do her bidding, but she lacks the ability to create Pebbles. Pebbles do still exist in TH, but they're much different and much simpler.
Pink struggled to keep up with Blue, White, and Yellow. Blue intimidated her, White was endearing but a bit too 'much' for her, and even though she got along well with Yellow, she was always off doing her own thing and trying to grasp her powers.
When she did eventually get her first shared colony, she made tons of mistakes. Nothing planet-shattering, but she always seemed to be getting in the way.
By the time she was finally getting her legs as a Diamond, she'd discovered a deep love for architecture and aesthetics. White was roughly hewn in her creations, Blue was lazy and didn't want to design anything, and Yellow was very utilitarian in her designs. Pink brought about a new era of beauty and spectacle that changed gemkind's architecture forever.
Her buildings were grand, spanning, full of organic, round shapes, and often held some form of multifunctional design that Yellow fell head over heels for. Pink was so efficient and graceful in the execution of her urban planning that Yellow immediately adopted her stylizations and made them a standard. Though, she stuck with her hard, clean edges over Pink's round, soft ones.
Pink's buildings often contained gardens, sanctuaries, places of comfort and visual appeal for gems to converse in. Blue took a particular liking to these buildings and adapted them into her district, especially in areas where she worked on conservation and preservation of the planet's resources.
White appreciated Pink's gardens for their ease of access to thousands of plant samples, and the grace with which she organized her specimens. She taught White everything she knows about raising gardens, which carries on to this day in White's special private greenhouses.
Sculpting and murals were Pink's favorite forms of art, aside from building designs. Most of the murals and statues on Homeworld were crafted by her own hands, and the Diamonds [Yellow especially] are protective of these pieces of history. [Blue has complicated feelings about them, and most of her murals have been redone since the war.]
Her other pastimes involved exploring, helping the other Diamonds with their work, and going out dancing with Yellow at special public events. Their dances were a must-see event that is still talked about to this day.
Pink loved designing new gems with White and the others, and after seeing the destruction to one of her shared colonies, Verde 13, caused by the kindergarten there... she worked with White to create a new kind of gem. A new strain of Jet that could be planted inside of trees, which she would help grow, that could provide the gem blood with all the nutrients it needed without killing the land around it. They planted these new gems on two planets- a few on Verde 13 [not many, to avoid harming the environment further], and an eternally dark, rainy planet called Verde 7. Unfortunately... this project never completed before the war. The gems remained inert for far longer than any other gem blood, and showed no signs of emerging, or even developing. It was abandoned, and Pink's very first gem type she designed all by herself was a failure.
She helped design a few others, namely Morganites, but she never fully got over the failure of her eco-friendly Jets. White eventually got her to design a slightly less eco-friendly version, one that took less of a toll on the environment. They were a success, but did ultimately still do damage to the planet that they're still doing damage control for. But, while Pink loved these Verde Jets... it always felt like a failure to her to have to hurt a planet with her projects.
This and a few other major triggers [which we can't get into here] led to Pink's eventual tension with her fellow Diamonds. Gemkind needed to change, for multiple reasons, but the others were so set in their ways that they couldn't see things her way.
One thing led to another, and Pink was forced to declare war on the Diamonds she once called her friends. Though, by the time she left, she felt like she barely recognized them anymore.
For our gems, it's the short E sound, such as in "leg, excellent, hedge, met, settle, etc"! And for the A, it's the 'uh' sound like in "upset, run, hunt"!
So, He(h)-muh-tight.
We know it's 'technically' the incorrect pronunciation but when has that stopped anyone haha
And 'heemuh' sounds so dumb as a name
These two sounds do NOT apply to every hematite nickname though!
So when theres a big event on like say a ball or aj anniversary of something big like one of diamonds emergences do the three of them have special forms they like to take to show off for the events?

Lets go the opposite way, do you three have any cool badass battle armor/military gear?
I can totally see blue having a more heavy duty armor perfect for someone who like to be in the front lines of a fight
Whilst I imagine yellows being more practical, protective yes but more suited for a general commanding her troops who tries to win the fight without needing to join the fight herself if possible but still capable of fighting
As for white oh PLEASE tell me she has a spy/espionage suit!

They do indeed have special armor from back during the war. Pretty on the money for Yellow- her goal was to inspire awe and confidence in her soldiers and be an unmissable beacon of golden light in the dark. She also still has a few of her old swords, which she treasures dearly.
Blue tried not to get involved with fights at all, back then. She was busy handling social issues on Homeworld, keeping morale up among civilians that were frightened and holed up in the cities. As such, she doesn't have a special suit of armor or anything. She did still get pulled into some battles, though.
White DOES have a stealth suit! It's perfectly colored to blend with the gray dark of the night, and she still uses it to this day.]]
