How did you know you were trans? I'm nor sure if I am a trans boy, so your experience can be useful for me, and maybe another people. Thank you so much.

personally I knew I was trans when I found comfort in being called xenon and when people used he pronouns for me, I noticed that a flatter chest made me more comfortable, and when downstairs made me a bit uncomfortable, if you catch my drift. there’s lots more, but remember the experience is different for everyone. hope all works out well! -x

ah, I believe you need to see a gender therapist and from there you can get a doctors notice to get t, however I'm not too sure, and I have no experience on this. i’m sorry. if anyone knows, please feel free to chime in! -x

I am FtM and one day I'd like to go on t and get top surgery, but since I haven't come out to anybody it won't happen soon and I'm getting out of my teen years. My fears are that the older I get the less "results" I'll have. Is it true or did I make it up?

you made it up! top surgery won’t change as you get older, unless you bind a lot. also I don't think you’re allowed to get top surgery until you’re legal, however I'm unsure about that, haha. -x

My spring break is next weekend, and my parents have booked a stay at Kalahari resort and water park. I love water parks, but wearing a swim suit gives me massive dysphoria. I'm not out to my family, and they would be extremely unsupportive if I came out. I want to be able to wear shorts and a shirt, but my parents would think it's odd, and wouldn't let me. I don't know what to do. I want to have fun but I don't want to feel like crap the entire time. What can I do?

Hey, so, I'm on my period, and my cramps are really bad. Like, I can barely even type right now, bad. It's making my gender dysphoria worse, and I have no idea how to make it go away. Any advice?

advil/ibuprofen could help, as well as menstrual cramp meds(I think those are a thing, someone told me about them). as for dysphoria, I like to remind myself that this situation only makes me more of a man, a tougher one because we obviously have to deal with it, and it’s tough. hope this helped a bit:] -x

hey, do you know of any binder give aways? im feeling really dysphoric about my chest but i dont have any money to buy a binder. any suggestions on what to do or if you know of any giveaways? thanks so much :)

unfortunately, I do not know of any, but you can search up binder give away on tumblr/twitter and you may be able to find one, or try your local lgbt friendly space, as they may be able to get one for you! if anyone knows any good give aways, please do share them! -x

For the anon worried about getting more body hair: If you go on t, you'll probably end up with about the same body hair as your father and any amab siblings. But you can always get laser treatment to permanently get rid of it, or wax or shave it for a less permanent solution to it (waxing will mean it'll be gone a lot longer than shaving so you might wanna do that if you're not willing to commit to laser hair removal).

Hi there Clearly I'm closeted, scared, and insecure for some reason. It's just my height that doesn't make me feel like a man enough. I'm short as you can see. Am I the only one that is short and trans? I don't know. It's killing me how everyone is going to see me as a short guy. I don't know what to do. I mean, I don't know how to overcome the feeling of insecurity. I'm short because of genetics and of course, I'm a woman in my body, which I'm necessarily short.

you’re certainly not the only short guy out there. sam Collins on youtube mentions how he’s short as well, he could be someone you may enjoy. however I hope you feel better soon, it’s totally normal to be a short guy, there are even cismen that are short:] -x

I'm freaking out because I really want to bind but none of the homemade methods work without being painful. i'm not out to my parents (hell, I don't even know my gender) But I really need a way to get a binder or bind effectively from something homemade

sports bras with layered tshirts and then baggy clothes could work. however please don't use ace bandages as theyre /very/ damaging, and please don't use anything painful, and /please/ don't bind for too long. -x

Hey so my mom said that she supports me and I came out five months ago as FTM but my mom never uses my name or pronouns and it makes me so mad and then she wonders why I'm pissed at her and if I tell her she will say that "it's gonna take some time." It has been five months!!! How do I tell her she needs to start trying to use my real name and pronouns??? Nothing I try is working.

it will take her some time for her to get used to it, however I think you need to sit down with her and have a serious conversation about how much the name and pronouns mean to you. hope all goes well. -x

I'm biologically female. When I was younger I was very masc but as I hit puberty (I'm 15) I started being more fem like wearing makeup and dresses. I used to think I was gender fluid. I only am fem when I'm trying to be. I've felt really uncomfortable in my body. I think I'm trans because every time I think of coming out I feel like I did when I came out as gay. But I don't get that when I think about coming out as a gay man or something I'm not. Any advice to figure it out? Sorry for confusion

just putting it out there, but trans guys can totally act fem and they’re still 100% valid. as for figuring your gender out, there really isn't a sure fire way, I'm sorry. it takes time and it can only be determined by you. I hope all goes well though, much luck. -x

So I'm really feminine and I think I'm a trans boy? My femininity make me unsure, but I enjoy hearing my preferred name and he/him pronouns. My sister jokingly said we should get me a binder(bc without boobs I'd pass as an eleven year old and get free food at restaurants) and I got really excited but when she was obviously joking I was disappointed. Does being happy with different pronouns and the idea of binding mean anything? It's probably a dumb question but I feel the need to ask someone...

I'm afraid you’re the only one who can ultimately decide if you’re trans or not, as it’s different for everyone. to me it could mean you could be trans but again, it’s completely up to you. hope all goes well:] -x

This isn't a dysphoric message, more or less I want it to be encouraging to others. For years I had the worst dysphoria and I was full of anxieties and was bullied by a large number of people. Going through hardships shaped me into the man I am today though. 3 months post op (top surgery) and 1+ year on T. Things get better. In the moment it may seem awful, words/actions hurt and you'll want to hurt yourself but you'll all get through it. I believe in you all ✌ I love you all my trans family ❤

I injured my chest, possibly by binding, but my boobs are really big and i have to go to school again tomorrow, but I can't bind, how do I deal with dysphoria/misgendering? Because even with binding people misgender me:(

This is a bit odd, I think, but I've noticed that cis males have smaller asses, and I am cursed with a not-so-small one...I was wondering if there's anything to be done abt that?? Like, does T help, or is there anything one can do if T doesn't, or if it does but you're not on T?

I don’t believe t does anything to your behind. however I think there is something that can reduce the size of your behind, but I'm not sure. a tip is to stay away from squats, haha. -x
