SHIELD DADDIES DAY
Yeah, its that time again! The sort of annual celebration of Nick Fury and Phil Coulson and their love for each other!
So how does it work, you ask? It’s simple! On June 21st, post any fic, art, fanmixes, photo/gif sets, videos, meta… ANYTHING you want to make about our ship to the SHIELD Daddies tag. That’s all there is to it!
So let’s make it a good one! JUNE 21st 2014 will be SHIELD DADDIES DAY!

Clint was at the shooting range to shoot some arrows as he heard someone stepping behind him “Anything I can do for you Director Fury sir?” Clint asked without looking up from his target.
"Just checking in, Barton." Nick relaxed against the closest partition. "Looking to see if you have anything interesting to report."
"Sorry, sir. I don’t know what interesting I could tell you right now."Clint said as he put his bow back into his quiver.
"Mm. Never really bought into that no news is good news idea. But if you don't have anything for me, I'll leave you to it." He waved a hand toward the target.

"Just try not to get turned into anything not human, okay?" Nick chuckles and picks up his own spoon. "More of the same as far as I can tell. Apparently everybody and their mother has a ‘budget concern’ or two. I might need your help fudging some numbers again."
"I will do my very best to stay human." He scoops up a bite of stew, closing his eyes happily. "Mmm. I can do that. It’s not enough for these people that we literally keep the world from falling apart?”
"I appreciate that." He chuckled and took a bite for himself before reaching over to wipe his thumb over the cover of Phil's mouth. "Is it ever?"
Nick chuckles and pulls Phil in for a longer kiss. “How about you? Interesting morning?”
"Mm." Lunch still smells good, but those kisses are very distracting. "Nothing’s exploded. Yet. R&D want me to see something this afternoon, though."
"Did they say what?" Nick smiled and pulled back from the kisses, handing Phil a spoon. "Whatever it is, I’m sure eating first will help you not get your ass blown up."
"Nothing down at the range, apparently, but the rest of the email was a little too excitedly technical. I think I need to tell McCutcheon to cut down on the coffee." Phil pulls over a chair with his foot and pops the lid off the bowl. "Anything vital for you this afternoon?"

Nick chuckles and pulls Phil in for a longer kiss. “How about you? Interesting morning?”

Nick shook his head at the message and tucked his phone away. He didn’t look up when the door to his office opened. “Took you long enough.”
"Only you would leave a hot lunch in my office and not eat yourself." Phil sets the bowl on Nick’s desk and leans over to kiss his cheek. "How was your morning?"
"To be fair, I had one of the baby agents drop it off." Nick turned and pressed a quick kiss to Phil’s lips before he could get too far away. "Usual. I’ve been on with the WSC for hours. I think I’m due a break."
"Yikes." Phil smiles and gives him another soft kiss before pulling back. "You’re due for a break and then some."
Nick chuckles and pulls Phil in for a longer kiss. "How about you? Interesting morning?"

Yup, I'm back... sorta, kinda...
Just a reminder that this version of Nick has a slightly different timeline than the canon version. He hasn't raised anyone from the dead. The Battle of New York did not happen in his timeline, though he still has a heavy hate on for Loki. He's married to Phil Coulson and the two of them adopted two young sons. He was recently (we'll pretend it hasn't been months since I've been here) the target of an assassination attempt and the money behind that attempt has not yet been tracked down so... shit could still go down.
The ask is always open. He IS aware of the multiverse so he will acknowledge things in canon even if he has not experienced them directly.

He pops the lid back onto his bowl. This building has fast elevators.

[txt]: I was about to defend my ability to feed myself, but then I remembered the time I ate nothing but cereal bars for a week.
