     When she’d rushed to the scene, just after Ella had left, with Naveen in tow, it was more than a relief to see that everyone was okay. At least, as okay as could be expected. Everyone had survived, so far, and that was more than she could expected, the curse breaking. Memories returning, in a flash. A blending of personas within her mind - Sabine and Tiana. The cook and the Queen. Right now? She didn’t know which one of them she would want to be. There’s a very tentative smile on her face as she approaches him, stepping away from Naveen, though she can’t help the roll of her eyes at his obvious attempt to hide his pain. “I think all that really changed with you was shorter jackets, Captain.” Her response is accompanied by her hand resting on his arm. “How are you feeling?”

       “No he didn’t. Not while Naveen and I were still there.” Though Tiana, now awake, her memories restored, wouldn’t put it past Facilier to return later on, become more of a threat. Even though he’d had magic, seemingly the entire curse as far as she knew, he must have been biding his time. Facilier was the least of her concerns now. “I do, but I just wanted to see you first.” Now that the curse was broken, there had been so little time for real reunions. “You know, we all look pretty foolish for not believing Lucy all along.”

She’d learned that back before opening the restaurant, and he was good. Charming and charismatic, despite her teasing claims to the contrary. “You were the one who said you had charm, Theodore. They’re just a little tipsy. Keep them from getting hammered and I bet you’ll end up with at least 30%.”

Magic used to thrive in this land just as it does in yours-until the humans eliminated it.” Crossing over to the nearest patch of land, she bent down over it, long braided hair hanging in her face. “But they couldn’t rid the land of all of it.” She took a fistful of dirt in hand, letting it sift through her fingers. “Some still exists, rooted deep in the soil. All that is lacking is the proper conduit through which to channel it.” Gothel looked back up at Tiana. “The only way to stop Facilier from obtaining that conduit is to get to it first.”

      “And what exactly is the proper conduit for magic in a land without it?” The story might be true, but it doesn’t change the fact that Gothel is just as much her enemy as Facilier. More so, since she was partially responsible for the casting of the curse that brought them all here. Helping her was likely to lead to disaster just as quickly or easily as it might be to help Facilier in his quest for power. She was not one to aid the enemy, unless it might be necessary to defeat a more powerful one, as it had been when she had enlisted Tremaine in order to imprison Drizella - another plan foiled by the woman before her. “What reason would I help you find it, when I could better spend my time preventing either of you from gaining magic?”

Better not to risk the competition after all to allow him to dominate the market truly.” Though he seemed genuine enough, the look upon his face spoke of there being more to it, which given the history between them, was not that uncommon. “Were you expecting there to be emotions involved? That would be a poor move in business…” 

       “Yet, I was the only other truck you targeted. It was a festival. If trying to clear the competition were the only motive, then you would have found something on the other trucks too.” She’d applied for the permits, but they hadn’t arrived in time. That might have been a bit on her, but it was also on the city, which was taking an inordinate amount of time to respond. Given his influence, she can only assume he was also behind the delay. “I’ve seen worse business moves lately. Believe me. Considering that Drew abandoned his concept altogether based on your sketchy move. That was a poor investment on your part.”
