“You know I care for you more than anyone, but if he is in our grasp again and you hold me back again, I will be very angry.” He had been the one to break them out of HYDRA’s hold, to convince her to abandon the people who only wanted to use them and wouldn’t give them the chance for their revenge. Now, they had two enemies, rather than one. HYDRA would continue to hunt them down, wanting to use them.
After all, they had stolen their greatest weapons - besides themselves, Pietro had grabbed the sceptor which had enhanced them. Pietro knew very little about it, but that it was something that both they and SHIELD (along with the Avengers) both coveted. It’s magic was easier for Wanda to understand, her own abilities more in tune with that sort of power. He is more fueled by revenge than his brain, though he is quick in wit as well as speed.
Tony Stark had been close, close enough for either of them to take out - or to attack together. They had so few opportunities to run into him, particularly now. He did not like the idea of hiding from HYDRA, knowing that they were on the run - it would be so much easier to defeat their enemies than to hide from them, especially with such powers at their disposal. He had managed to throw off multiple HYDRA agents before even breaking Wanda out. Why should they wait? “He was there. We could have ended this.” And, finally, a weight released from their shoulders, one he would feel until Tony Stark felt the same pain he had.
