Generation N Audioplay Voice Actor Auditions! (Update)
Can you still audition even if you don't have very good recording equipment?
As long as the recoding sounds clear, you may use any recording equipment you wish. You can try using your iPhone/Galaxy, we tested a few recording on our devices and they sounded alright.
How long are the audition tapes supposed to be?
Auditions need to be a minimum of 30 seconds to 2 minutes
At the moment we have no deadline. We are listening to auditions as they come in, however we will not be making definite decisions regarding roles, until we have more of the script written and a good bulk of auditions in. We would prefer to have auditions in earlier, rather than later as to get a good census as to what we have to work with.
The ark is composed of 13 nation ships. When the world ended it would be peoples natural instinct to keep and pass on of it’s culture onto the next generation.
People on the ark would not assimilate to only american culture.
The accent of english spoken on the ark would far differ then what we know today as so many cultures will clash together.
Arker auditions we are hopping more of mix between American, Canadian, Australian, English, Irish... it is required for you to have fluent english (you can’t be stuttering on your words and sentences, it shouldn’t sound like a struggle)
Since the cultures and languages on the ark vary, there can be accents in the mix. For example if you moved to an english speaking country as a child, there is still a strong possibility for you to have an accent. Something in between language, which is acceptable.
Those of you with accents do not fret! The grounders do not learn english from birth, their numbers are far greater and cultures were easier to be kept. Different accents will be what we are looking for.
Yes we will accept kids auditions for Natblida, and other characters that may come to play. However we will require confirmation that whoever assists them in their audition will be responsible for ensuring the child is to meet deadlines for recordings, and consistent.
Lastly, please do not be shy, we are all a big family here. You should see how excited all of us get when we receive a new audition.

Sending in Audition Instructions
Please indicate in the audition recording who you are auditioning for
1. Current canon characters (Have been written, or have a set role to play in the story)
Lexa, Clarke, Raven, Octavia, Wells, Monty, Jasper
Anya, Abby, Jake, Gustus, Nia, Jaha
2. Other Canon Characters We want to keep on the DL as to not spoil the story.
4. Side characters/ small parts
Including but not limited to
guards, classmates, villagers etc…
(maybe we will make a draw/ competition of some sort for this one)
5. Happy with any position given
The script is incomplete, as we are still in the process of writing.
Characters parts may lengthen or shorten.
Some positions will not be listed as we go so those willing to play category 5,4,3,2, we wish to keep the story a surprise.
Choose a scene or a passage from a book to read out loud in the recording. you may also read something you yourself wrote if you wish.
Audition as if you are playing the character, do not just plainly read the script like a grocery store list.
Record your audition tape in the same location you are to be recording future scripts should you be chosen.
There should be no background noise.
Since this project is mainly audioplay, we are asking for recording rather than a video.

*If you are auditioning for more than one role, you will need to record them in separate audio files*
3. Label your audio file with your tumblr username, category number and role you are auditioning for

**If you feel uncomfortable using your own email/name then you are welcome to use a dummy one. However make sure to check it occasionally incase of updates. (We will post an update on generation-nb tumblr when emails are sent out) Due to life commitments this project will take a while to bring to life.
