Name: Rebecca Holiday
Appearance: Dark brown hair, usually up in a bun. Depending on her plans for the day, or what pops up, she’s either in her usual labcoat, orange turtleneck, black skirt and knee high boots with the heel on them, or, if she needs to get out into the field, she might wear my field uniform. The leather offers more coverage and protection in messy situations. Practical and stylish. Oh, and on Fridays, she like to break out the red shoes.
History:
Holiday grew up in a house in a small, rural town with her parents, her grandmother, and her younger sister, Beverly. Her dad is very quiet, but highly intelligent, and her mom, well, she talks enough for both of them and is kind of a busy-body, and her grandma is blunt and stubborn, but she loves them all. She was very close with her little sister, who eventually became the focus of her entire life.
When Beverly was 13 years old, she went EVO, and Holiday dedicated her three PhD's and her very life to finding a cure that would give her little sister back to her. Providence gained a brilliant new scientist in exchange for safely housing her EVO sister.
She used to be second in command under Dr. Fell. She was a promising young scientist with big ideas - but was never given the opportunity to use them. She had long felt that Dr. Fell's methods of research were ineffective, and she was helpless to change that - until opportunity came her way when the infamous Agent Six brought her a remarkable boy, which set off a chain of events that led to her turning her back on Providence and going into hiding with Agent Six, his partner, White Knight, Rex, and that crude talking chimp.
They all feared what would become of the boy if Providence were allowed to keep him, and she could not in good conscience let the two clueless men and the monkey assume care of the boy themselves - not to mention Rex was an incredible anomaly that begged to be studied. By leaving Providence behind and striking out with White Knight's splinter group, she freed herself from Fell's restrictions. With White Knight's resources at her disposal, she could finally try things her way - she could make progress and get results where Fell could not. It seemed selfish, yes, but her decision might give her the chance to find the cure and help save the world...cure her beloved little sister with whom she had been so close...
She was forced to leave her sister behind at Providence - but Six and White were strong. She had confidence that they could help her get her sister back when the time came - they would owe her that much for all she would be able to do for them with her knowledge that they could never have done for themselves.
At first, Holiday didn't think very highly of the two brutish men, but over time, they softened to her eyes. They weren't quite as thuggish and mindless as she first thought. She grew particularly fond of the resident ninja as she observed him over the years - she came to understand that he had his own form of great intelligence, and it became apparent in the respect that he came to show her and the way he took young Rex under his wing that he had a good heart.

Holiday sighed heavily as she strolled briskly down the hall. The grunts stopped talking and stepped aside to let her pass. They knew that she was on a mission.
Nobody wanted to get in her way when she had that determined air about her. She floated like a butterfly and stung like a bee. If you crossed her, she could knock you flat on your back AND bruise your pride. She was scathingly smart, and beautiful at the same time. She was alluring, yet dangerous. Many men would have loved to have her, but few had what it took to handle her.
She was a force to be reckoned with when she was like this. She wasn’t always like this, though. She was rather like a mother - stern when she needed to be, commanding the respect of all those around her, with a knack for making even the toughest man shrink under her no-nonsense glare, but she could also be soft and reassuring - a friend when you needed one. It all depended on the situation.
In this particular situation, as she strode up to meet the medical transport, she had a poker face to rival that of Providence’s resident ninja-nanny.
The door to the transport slowly unfolded into a ramp, and shortly after, a bewildered Rex stumbled out. He spotted her standing there with her arms crossed and her foot tapping impatiently, and he took a few steps back, staring like a deer in the headlights.
“Doc, I’m sorry….” Rex stammered, “You told me not to…I should have listened…I didn’t mean for this to happen…”
The medics emerged from the transport, wheeling a gurney along. Rex was distracted momentarily and ran over to get alongside them. He squeezed in between two medics to put a hand on the rail of the gurney.
Holiday stepped forward, and with a wave of her hand, the medics stepped aside to let her through. Rex didn’t seem to have noticed. He was trembling slightly and was pale, his hand hovering hesitantly over his friend’s shoulder, unable to bring himself to touch him.
Holiday placed her hand on Rex’s shoulder to get his attention. He whirled around to face her like a frightened animal. His eyes were glassy.
“I warned you, Rex.” She said, her voice low and expression unreadable, “And now you understand why.”
“I’m sorry…I’m so sorry. You were right. I didn’t mean to…” Rex stammered, and looked her in the eyes, “Please, doc, help him…”
Her expression softened slightly as she reached up to smooth back his hair.
“He’ll be alright, Rex.” She said softly, “I know you didn’t mean to. There’s no way you could have known this would happen. He got lucky. It’s just a concussion. Noah’s going to be okay. I promise.”
