Because there are people who are same-sex attracted who don't believe in spinning history, are over being labelled as genital fetishists, are through with being denied same-sex spaces which - in addition to women - also affects the ability of homosexual people to organize, and don't believe that sexual orientation is based off of preferred pronouns. male socialisation isnât a chosen descriptor of some peopleâs experience. we donât choose our socialisation at all, itâs a word that describes the conditioning that our society, with its social norms and moral values, exerts over us.

one thing through being on tumblr and reading gender discourse from many sides of the spectrum over the years Iâve come to realize people have No Idea what socialization means, which surprised me because I honestly thought it was a well understood concept. People talk about it like itâs a thing that happens at one point or another instead of a never ending state that is integral to the human mind. youâre socialized male not only because youâre raised a boy and treated like a man, but because door frames and bus seats and cell phones and water fountains and cars and kitchen counters and 99% of stuff we make is designed around the average male body with practically no consideration to what would be more comfortable to women. Youâre socialized male because weâre bombarded by ads that treat men like a consumer and women like an object. the captain morgan billboard across the street from your apartment is socializing you 800 different ways and whoops you canât escape it even if you never looked at because the people around you are looking at it. literally: we live in a society lol

What sort of propaganda campaign has been going on that even feminists and progressives believe that for millenia most women were housewives comfortably living on their husbandâs income??? All of the âdonât be sad if you canât keep up with all of the chores on top of full time work, just a few decades ago it would have been one person in the relationshipâs whole job! [they always use gender neutral language for this too lol]â the âhousewife eraâ was such a thin slice of human history, applied only to a small percentage of women, bolstered by very cheap domestic labour/slavery. And it didnât end because women went on a feminist journey of self-actualisation, (so all of the âconcernsâ about whether feminism âwent too farâ and that âwomen nowadays are being expected to do too much because of feminismâ are bullshit) it ended because of economic factors, women already being in the workplace and fighting for better legal working protections. The self-actualisation was part of the feminist wave responding to this and encouraging women already needing to work to become empowered by it. Women were already expected to make ends meet with husbands drinking and gambling away their incomes, raise the kids and keep the house in order, often with work on the side.

I love how liberals like this have just no fucking ability to analyze the content of anything, just vague pattern recognition fed to them through their preferred outlets and adhered to like a quasireligious dogma. You could paint black stripes on a white horse and convince them itâs a zebra.
Conservative women are still women. They are members of an oppressed class. They may hold many views that are counter to both their liberation and the liberation of other oppressed groups, but they're in a different position from conservative men, and as such will say things that will be relevant to their own life experiences, oppression included. A black conservative man, similarly, will implicitly understand racism even if his own political views force him to ignore it. He will likely say things that reference experiencing racism; that doesn't mean the things he says are automatically right-wing rhetoric. That's not how, err, people work.
Let's just say this: your average right-wing man doesn't object to drag based on it being a mockery of women. He has plenty of homophobic fodder of his own to use. It's typically only women, conservative or otherwise, that say drag is a dehumanising mockery of them. Considering how women are a textbook oppressed class, it might be worth taking claims of dehumanising mockery seriously.
