My number one favorite way to engage with characters is through shipping. I'm as much of a sappy romantic as I am a pervert so it keeps me endlessly entertained. I think that sums up the majority of my fanart pretty well too.

I like it when character emotions are pushed to their max, especially in terms of other characters they interact with. Romance and sex are vulnerable places for most characters I like. It's an ideal place for me to get ideas from. And it's super self-indulgent, which I have no shame about, lol.

I'm actually surprised that Liu Kang was voted to confess first!

I thought he would initially, but then I changed my mind to Kung Lao because the thought of him confessing after Liu Kang rescues him from the Netherrealm makes me weak. 😩

(Maybe it depends on if you're coming from the MK1 or MK21 side of the fandom.)

But yeah, Kung Lao kneeling before his shidi and spilling his guts. Humility, regret, gratitude, and other feelings for Liu Kang that he had kept secret. Only choosing to risk their friendship with his confession because he had been gifted a second chance at life from the man he loves...
