Liu Kang
You were helping Liu Kang organize some ancient scrolls in a quiet room of the temple. The sun streamed softly through the windows. Suddenly, without thinking, you approached him from behind and said in a gentle voice,
"My love… don't you ever rest?" Liu Kang dropped the scroll he was holding. He turned slowly, his eyes wide and a light blush on his cheeks.
"M-my love?" he repeated softly, almost breathless.
You smiled and continued,
"Come here for a moment, Liu. You're always looking after everyone… let me take care of you for a little while, baby." The great Mortal Kombat champion was speechless. His breathing became ragged, and he lowered his gaze, clearly overwhelmed. No one had ever spoken to him with such affection.
"I…" he stammered, running a hand over the back of his neck. "You shouldn't call me that." We're not… I'm not…
You took another step closer and finished with a playful smile:
"Just for a little while. Sit with me."
Liu Kang swallowed visibly. His heart was pounding so hard you could almost feel it. He looked at you with a mixture of surprise, warmth, and pure nervousness.
"Those kinds of words… they affect me more than you can imagine," he admitted softly, almost whispering. "Being called that by you… makes me want things I don't even know if I have the right to want."
He stared at you, his cheeks flushed, a small, shy smile playing on his lips.
Kung Lao
They were alone in the training yard. Kung Lao had just given an impressive demonstration with his hat. You clapped and approached him, laughing.
"Amazing as always, honey," you said affectionately.
Kung Lao stopped dead in his tracks, his hat slipping from his hand. He stared at you, wide-eyed.
"H-honey?" he asked, pointing to himself as if he couldn't believe it.
You nodded and continued casually,
"Yes, Lao. Even though you're such a show-off, I love seeing you like this. Come here, sweetie."
Kung Lao turned bright red. He tried to maintain his arrogant demeanor, but he failed miserably. He started laughing nervously and covered his face with his hand.
"You're trying to kill me, aren't you?" he muttered. "You can't go around calling me honey… I'm your friend, not your boyfriend… yet." You moved closer and said softly,
"Relax, Lao. I just wanted you to know how much I like you."
Kung Lao was silent for a few seconds, processing everything. Then he let out a shaky sigh and looked at you with a mixture of pride and shyness.
"No one's ever called me that before… least of all you. You make me nervous like an idiot. If you keep this up… I won't be able to keep pretending I'm not crazy about you."
Johnny Cage
They were on the terrace of his mansion, watching the sunset over Los Angeles. Johnny was telling one of his exaggerated stories when you affectionately interrupted him:
"You're one of a kind, my love."
Johnny trailed off mid-sentence. His famous Hollywood smile vanished completely, replaced by an expression of utter surprise.
"My love? Did you just call me 'my love'?" he asked, pointing to his chest.
You nodded and continued tenderly:
"Yes, my love. Even though you're always being silly, I love being with you. Come closer, baby."
Johnny Cage, the man who always had an answer for everything, was speechless. He ran a hand through his hair, clearly flustered, and let out a short, awkward laugh.
"Whoa… okay, that's cheating. You can't call me baby when we're barely in the 'crush' stage. You're going to give me a heart attack." He looked at you, his eyes sparkling, and added in a lower voice:
"And… my sir too?"
You smiled and finished:
"My sir Johnny Cage."
He slumped against the railing, covering his face with both hands, but peeking through his fingers.
"I'm screwed…" he muttered. "I turn bright red for you. If you keep calling me that, I'm going to have to ask you to be my girlfriend before I die of nerves."
