growing up in massachusetts meant that geneva was used to storms, seeing as the state had an average of ten to thirty thunderstorms a year. when she was younger, she loved to sit by the window and watch the lightning, no matter how ‘unsafe’ it was or how much her mother lectured her for it. she didn’t really like the sound of the thunders but in her teenage years, she learned to appreciate them, for they drowned out her parents fighting, whether it be with her or with each other.
looking out of the window and reminiscing her childhood, the bad parts and the few good ones, she was distracted and didn’t notice when someone stopped by her. “ kind of weird, right? i can’t remember the last time it rained so badly ” she said, smiling at the person.
