What is your shading process? Your art always looks so stunning, I am very curious!

Thank you so much!! So I use Krita and a Wacom tablet. After laying down flat color I make a new layer over it and set the color mode to hard light. I then pick a tone that matches the lighting (usually a midtone shade of grey) and use different values of that tone to color shadows and highlights. I lay them down with the airbrush brush and blend with the blender blur brush. I also like to use a separate layer for the super bright white highlights bc I find that hard light mode doesn't work well for those. There's a really great tutorial on Youtube for this very method, and the guy explains it in fantastic detail, very beginner-friendly. I'll link it here. I also love to use scenes from the film for shading reference, to make sure I'm getting the colors and values right. I hope that made sense! Feel free to ask any questions you have about my process! I used a new technique for this one and I LOVE how it turned out! I set the lines layer to alpha locked and then colored the lines themselves so they blend in and look more organic. Might be selling prints and stuff of this one! Will let you guys know if/when that happens.

He has to rely on his tenuous new relationship with Roxanne to see him through the first unsteady steps to becoming a hero for the people. What better way to introduce the villain-turned-hero to the citizens of Metro City than with an exclusive interview conducted by KMCP's Roxanne Ritchi herself? That is, if they can keep their unbridled flirting under wraps...

I wrote a little bitty ficlet! It depicts Roxanne's inner dialog and turmoil after her infamous failed date with Bernard, who turned out to be Megamind.
