Had an interview this week and they gave me the position the day after my interview and a week before the apps were even due! Honestly I attribute all of my recent successes to how much I grew in self-confidence this summer. Being confident in yourself really does wonderful things for ya (why did I not figure this out earlier)

So today I was in Physiology class, and we were learning about the heart and the blood.  I was thinking about how much I liked the topic when I remembered my great-grandfather was a famous cardiologist.   Then I thought to myself, “it must be in the blood,” and I just sat there, grinning like an idiot.

Kinds of Muscles

– there are three kinds of muscles      – cardiac      – smooth / visceral      – skeletal

Cardiac Muscle – found only in the heart – forms the wall of the heart – contracts to circulate blood – involuntary muscle

Smooth / Visceral Muscle – can be called either name – found in internal organs – contracts to cause movement in these systems – involuntary muscle

Skeletal Muscle – attached to bone – cause body movements – voluntary muscle
