Bumblebee always had such a soft facial form to begin with. Which is why it made it harder to become a scout. The big blue eyes and soft twitchy antenna’s made him look nothing scary. And honestly most of the time it caught bots off. Such a small and buggy eyed Cybertron was able to kill and fight when needed..

“ Heh, thanks..I’m honestly glad you didn’t take much offense to the hug, I mean..I know some Starscreams from other universes that tend to get a little jumpy..though, I don’t blame them; my alternate self is pretty nasty from the sounds of it.”

{ ☆ } “I must admit,” Starscream began with a bit of shyness in his tone, “We Decepticons are rather fond of physical affection. It helps build a stronger bond between us--or so Lord Megatron believes. And I am inclined to agree” He didn’t agree simply because he trusted his leader to always be honest, but because he did care for his fellow Decepticons and felt as though they all shared some sort of bond. They all felt like friends to Starscream, at least for the most part. There were times where he’d butt helms with them, or perhaps be overwhelmed by the presences of some, but at the end of the day Starscream cared for the others quite a bit. “Are you Autobots the same way?” Given how the scout approached him Starscream assumed so.

Optimus smiled in barely contained amusement at how drastically different alternates seemed to be from one another, and he gave a simple nod in response. “That is rather similar to the war in my reality began..except it was the Decepticons..” he spoke softly, eyebrows furrowing.

“During the final days of our planet..my scout, Bumblebee was captured by Megatron and tortured for information on where our base was hidden..” he trailed off, clearing his throat. “He never gave up..and so, Megatron decided to silence him permanently and he tore out his vocal cords..”

{ ☆ } The mere idea of his master being so cruel, even in a different universe, had Starscream pausing for several long, uncomfortable seconds as he processed what Optimus had said. During this silence his gaze lowered almost guiltily as though he felt personally responsible to the brutal attack on Bumblebee. “I--I am sorry,” he managed to choke out at last as a light shudder ran through his slim frame. “He sounds like a monster.”

    Starscream prayed that he’d never have to meet that Megatron, or any Megatron remotely like him. But given the strange crossings of alternate realities that seemed to be happening recently he feared that he’d have that meeting in due time. He’d just have to hope any other Megatrons would be kind to him purely because he was a Decepticon--albeit a much different Decepticon than they were.

    “I pray he hasn’t done anything as terrible as that to you as well--you seem far kinder than the Prime I am familiar with. You certainly wouldn’t deserve such a fate....but, I suppose in a war we all suffer in our own ways,” he continued quietly, wings lowering slightly.

{ ☆ } Detention? Starscream’s faceplates clearly displayed the seeker’s confusion, bordering on discomfort, at the strange order. Ordinarily he wouldn’t follow the demands of one other than his leader but the stranger before him spoke with such authority that Starscream obeyed...or perhaps he was simply too confused not to. So with an awkward glance at the chair indicated he sat slowly, wings lowering a little as he got comfortable. What an odd day this was starting as.
