By the way, I remember that Florian's favorite ice cream flavors are strawberry and chocolate.

I don’t remember the structure of the lower brain regions, what happens when the TPO zone is damaged, Otto Rank’s theory, or the scales used in the Kettell test, but I do remember his favorite treat. And yes, in the photo he is holding chocolate ice cream ✔️ I'm glad to remember FINALLY SOMETHING GOOD FROM THE FLÜR'S BOOK, including one that does not carry a negative connotation toward Florian.

I wrote earlier that after moving, the reality around me cracked and continues to shower me with some endless coincidences.

It's fun. Or not at all.

I need a rest.

Well, okay, the author loves them too, I guess.

I think it would be already easier to just write to Ralf and ask him to dust off his 50+ year-old diploma and explain all this to me (though I have no idea what courses they took there, I’ve heard they focus more on engineering than on art at theirs architecture schools).

But I’ve just remembered that he designed the covers for albums 1 and 2, so he knows all about it, he won’t be able to wriggle out of this now, ha-ha-ha!

By the way, in Russia (where I believe we have one of the strongest art education systems) the teaching of composition and color theory is based primarily on works from the avant-garde period. Our holy trinity at my lyceum was Malevich, Chernikhov and Tatlin (Tatlin himself studied art in my home town, he-he, as well as Aristarkh Lentulov (he was actually born in our region)), and instead of a cross we had the Tower of the Third International (I think that I need a tattoo with it, yes, it might sound strange to others, but it reminds me of home, ha).

And when I came across Franz Ferdinand and Kraftwerk, I was just like WOAH I NEED IT So, I really adore the avant-garde.

I had been trying to adjust my sleep schedule, and by the time this happened, I hadn’t slept for nearly a day. Everything that was going on was getting on my nerves: kids were playing ball and screaming right outside my window, and their nasty dog was yapping along with them. To make matters worse, planes sometimes fly low over the city\my neighborhood and making a lot of noise.

The plane was the last straw, and I started questioning where the hell this damn thing is heading right above and annoying me.

I know there’s a website where you can track flights online, and I found my city and that plane.

I couldn't believe it. If I'm writing this here, you've probably already guessed.

Of all the damn cities on this planet (this was actually the first time in my life I’d ever visited this site on purpose either), I SAW THAT THIS PLANE WAS SPECIFICALLY HEADING TO DÜSSELDORF.

I’m not superstitious and I don’t believe in magic, but sometimes life’s coincidences (???????especially since they started happening to me one after another when I moved?????) make me wonder if I’m losing my mind.

The album’s main co-author was Fritz Hilpert, who became an avid athlete back in 1990 after being invited to one of the race stages in the Dolomites. As Fritz recalls, Ralf had been trying to convince him for three years, but after his first mountain race in the Alps, he was literally “converted.”

I also enjoy cycling, and overall it’s my number one choice among the physical activities I’m willing to do, but:

A new portion of Dirk's memories:

According to Dirk’s memories, when “Synthesizerstudio Bonn” brought the first batch of E-Mu Emulator samplers to West Germany in the early ’80s, he immediately decided to introduce the members of Kraftwerk to the concept of sampling. When the group found themselves facing a bulky blue instrument with a floppy disk drive, Dirk handed Ralf a microphone, and after a moment’s thought, Ralf spoke the word “ficken” into the magical machine, then lowered the sample’s pitch and began playing chords. Of course, everyone involved burst out laughing at that moment.

I feel him on all levels. Sometimes it seems to me that the universe has given me the same personal constitution as it has for him. Sometimes, it doesn't just seems, sometimes i'm sure.

p.s. And it’s also likely that Florian stole took it for himself a beautiful guitar from their own studio back in the Autobahn days, one that Ralf really liked (and which SUDDENTLY turned up at that auction). I was 1000% sure this would happen: “SO YOU STOLE IT, LITTLE BASTARD???” or have they already forgotten about the real fate of the guitar, who knows?

Unfortunately, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't take a picture without glare. I can't remember the last time I saw such storefronts.

I don't know why this whole trip is happening as if I have been blessed (joke). One of the main reasons was that there was a concert in July. The day before yesterday, we were literally in a random cafe, and when I turned back, I saw a bookstore where we needed to buy concert tickets. Today, a car and mannequins, what the hell is this 😂
