Headed out for an enjoyable walk this afternoon. It felt good to be back on the trail after all the snow we received in February. Had my Kronaby connected watch with me to control my music, count my steps, and even mark the spot where I left my car 😉.

Spring is here and the snow is melting! I decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather today to do some geocache maintenance. This one is mine and it held up really well under all that snow! Added some new SWAG curtesy of cache_advance and their monthly cache crate. With some new caches in the area, curtesy of another local cacher, I’m excited to see who visits my geocache this year 😃.

Took advantage of this sunny 40 degree day in December to find some geocaches and check on my own. It felt so good to get outside again and enjoy the day!

Love caching with this guy!! Had a nice run of 20 finds with no DNF’s. It was a good day 😃

Me and my new Kronaby Apex out for our first geocaching adventure together! Returned to the Heartland Trail to avenge a DNF and SUCCESS! This little container was hidden up in a tree and well camouflaged but after a bit of searching I was able to make the find 😃!

Headed over to the park to nab a newly posted geocache on this beautiful day and finish off my 10,000 steps. The cache was pretty easy to find and this lovely butterfly was kind enough to pose for a photo 😃

Got my very first FTF today!!! It’s a beautiful morning and I happen to already be in the park for my morning munzee walk when this one was published, talk about pure luck! It’s a large park and I was on the other side capping munzees when I received the notification and quickly dashed over to make the find 😃

Out to grab a quick geocache. Almost an FTF (first to find) on this one but another cacher beat me to it haha. That’s alright, still collected another smiley for the day and the scenery was beautiful :)

Photos from my morning walk to my own geocache. I have only hidden one since I started caching. We’ve had a couple of bad storms roll through so I decided to do a little cache maintenance run just to be sure everything was alright. This is the path leading to my cache. I absolutely LOVE this path. It provides such a fantastic walk, especially in the morning. The beautiful garden is actually named “Pauline’s Garden” and it was created right on the edge of a yard for walkers like me to enjoy. I always look forward to seeing this garden in bloom every year! I didn’t get to scan any munzees on this walk but I did manage to deploy a flat Matt & flat Rob 🙂
