We had a double date at a boat ride for the LGBT community in NYC.

It was comprised of trans and drag performers, buffet style food and seeing all of NYC and Jersey on the Hudson River. We were accompanied by friends too!

It actually brought back memories of my youth when bars were an option and not a must for “us” to socialize .

We discussed what our lives were like as Black Gay men in our 20s, 30s 40s and now 50s! We lost so many friends to AIDS, yet, we are still here thriving !

I’m thinking about throwing my 52 Birthday party in 2019, on a boat ride with NO music made after 1999, mostly House Music, to remind us of our era and history!
