TASK 2A - Cinematic Summary
Some precedents in relation to how bubbly objects/materials are formed.
Here is a chocolate bar, raspberries, squash and bubble coral.
Common characteristics between these are the variety in size of the elements/bubbles, and with the the inconsistency, as well as being made of lots of little elements rather than few bigger elements.
Collaging to achieve the desired geometry
Developing the bubble paintings, increasing contrast and converting to black and white. Looking like some sort of organism. Now to figure out how to translate this into my drawings.
BUBBLE PAINTING !!! Exploring how bubbles configure themselves in terms of size, quantity and positioning. The outcomes show different density, shading, volume and the different geometries. (Probably shouldn't have used red eheh)

MOSQUITOES CAN EAT MICROPLASTICS AND SPREAD IT TO FOOD WEB
Microplastics are ubiquitous pollutants found in marine, freshwater and terrestrial ecosystems. With so many microplastics in aquatic systems, it is inevitable that they will be ingested by aquatic organisms and be transferred up through the food web. Researchers found that mosquito larvae growing up in water contaminated with microplastic can accumulate plastic litter in their bodies, and some of it remains there even after the larvae emerge as adult flies.
-Researchers used fluorescent microplastic to track the particles in mosquitoes.
Under lab conditions researchers fed 150 aquatic mosquito larvae with a mixture of food and microplastics. They randomly selected 15 larvaes, and then 15 flying adult mosquitoes. They found microplastics in all 30 individuals. The mosquitoes may exacerbate the problem of plastic contamination, transmitting microplastics once they are eaten by animals, from freshwater to terrestrial ecosystems. Adult mosquitoes are predated by many animals including insects, aracnids birds and mammals as bats.
Where many insects are emerging from a highly contaminated site, the possibility of contamination of these predators could be high. While mosquitoes were used here as a model organism, any freshwater insect that can ingest microplastics will likely equally transmit plastics into a terrestrial adult stage.

White card model 5/5 This has a unique rotation technique in comparison to the others, which enables three different forms. The model shows the structure, in which the flexible rocky looking material covers.
White card models 4/5 While still having the same underlying goals as the others, these two both focus on the technique of stacking.
White card midsems models 2/5 These models are all based around the notions of rotation, movement and expansion. This is to keep the form from being predictable and therefore making the access and use difficult for the humans, while keeping it easy for the cormorants.
Attempt #1 at sections. While doing these sections it brought up a lot of questions that I hadn't already thought of. What materials would work for this idea? How can I design it so the cormorant's nests stay still and protected while the rest of the structure moves and changes at certain times? What are these certain times? What determines/controls when and how the shape changes? Where do all the clients fit in and how do they share the space? Is it a long time or a split second in which they do share it? How do I ensure this floating object stays in the dock? It primarily had to clean up the oil from the corners of the dock, where wind and rain pushes it, so does it need to be attached to the dock or have some sort of barrier stopping it from disturbing the workings of the dock? These are all things I need to analyse and figure out in order for my design to work. As suggested, a diagrammatic storyboard is the next stage in exploring these questions, and atmospheric photomontages.

It explains how there is a dialogue, language, and communication held between this interactive arch and the user. This communication must be simple enough for someone or something to learn to use. On the other hand, in contrast to this voluntary control, users may be coerced into participating and interacting with the architecture/other users. This heightened communication and relationship leads to increased attachment to the space. It can determine/change how an animal feels, behaves and reacts.
