imma let y'all in on a little secret: none of our fics are up to our standards. yes, even the ones we spend the most time on. ESPECIALLY those ones. we are a huge perfectionist with ocd adhd and limited energy and theres so many ideas we had for every single fic of ours weve ever posted longfic or not that never made it in there or even out of our brain.

our criteria for posting or updating a work isn't "are we happy with where this is at," because we're NEVER happy with where ANY of our drafts are at, but "does this mostly make coherent sense and will people feel like theyve spent their time at least somewhat well if they read it".

a half assed barely edited or unfinished story is infinitely better than a theoretical perfect story that doesnt even exist at all. publish your shit even if its not perfect especially if its not perfect because that is the only way you will ever publish anything at all
