My friend Mohammed, his daughter Mona, and their whole family are currently trying to escape Gaza as the opportunity to do so presents itself again.

As time goes on and people continue to doubt the legitimacy of Gazan fundraisers, I must reaffirm that I know Mohammed personally, and have been in close communication with him for over a year. If nothing else, I can offer a picture of Mona by the tent they've been able to afford with previous donations.

#geo spirals #Cause we both agree with stuff that would get strangers yelling at us #Mostly talking about complex topics that people don't want to especially involving I*** and L***#and involving the SA in the series #I believe the I***T*** kiss was SA. I think it was a very naunced and impactful way to end I***'s story.#I don't think they've done a good job exploring it from the T***'s POV (the actual victim).#I*** does not think that his actions can cause a serious impact on others due to him believing that what he does doesn't matter--#Because he believes in the fatalistic idea that he can never be truly cared about. That his actions will always result in the other not--#liking him (accidentally making T*** upset in the Cheer Up comic when he wasn't trying too) so he doesn't try to be a better person.#He doesn't think anyone will like him for who he actually is so with the people he wants to be close with--#he purposely antagonizes because that will at least get him attention.#He is a self-fullfilling prophecy who perceives his previous “rejections” as signs that that is the way things will always end.#He also views his feelings towards T*** as something vile. Because of what I said previously he thinks that he does nothing--#but take advantage of T***. That T*** makes his life better but all he can do is be a pest.#He has internalized homophobia and he views himself as the “predatory gay man” trope. And just to be clear HE'S NOT.#But at the end of his story he does SA Kiss T*** and while neither of them liked it and I*** wasn't doing it to purposely hurt T*** but--#to die showing his feelings what he did was still awful.#He doesn't think it will hurt T*** because he doesn't think he can be cared about causing him to think his emotional actions cannot--#cause lasting harm. He's believed for so long that if he ever tries to do anything sincerely it will always end badly.#And in his final act he does end up doing this by sincerely showing his feelings--#finally but in the worse possible way. BUT he doesn't even fully realize this because of the whole “no one cares” thing.#He doesn't fully realize the harm he's caused despite him believing he already knows because he thinks his actions don't really matter.#HE IS A SELF FULL-FILLING PROPHECY. HE IS A WARNING ABOUT NOT TRYING TO OPEN UP TO PEOPLE.#HE IS A WARNING ABOUT BEING FATALISTIC AND THE HARM OF SELF-HATRED TO NOT JUST HIMSELF BUT OTHERS!!!!#I already made a post about this with a graph lol
