Mooie nieuwe CD met songs van Woody Guthrie rond het thema Dust Bowl, je weet wel die periode in de jaren 30 van immense stofstormen op de vlakten van de Verenigde Staten, vooral in 1934 en 1936. Het fenomeen werd veroorzaakt door extreme droogte en decennialange intensieve landbouw zonder vruchtwisseling of andere technieken om winderosie tegen te gaan. Die tijd ging gepaard met veel armoede en regelrechte hongersnood voor de prairiebewoners, die dan ook massaal wegtrokken.
