Our first extra dive for the afternoon. Spectacular dive site that allows you to plunge into a narrow swim through from the hard pan out into the blue! Christmas worms, trumpet fish, trigger fish, sting ray and of course barracuda!

All kinds of coral along the basin and over the wall. Hundreds of garden eel's dancing out of the sand on the hard pan! All kinds of seal life in nooks and crannies at only 20 feet:)

Watched a nurse shark roll over on it's back like a dog to itch a scratch. Spotted my first flying gurnard. Huge barrel sponges and bright orange trumpet sponges lined the wall. Swam parallel to a large southern stingray.

Giant super friendly spotted grouper. Big old lion-fish. Many garden eel's and a spiny lobster.

Our last dive for the trip to Cozumel:( We got to see a large sting ray and these really cool sea snakes that live in the sea floor and dance up like giant crazy straws then suddenly retract back into the sea floor. Also barracuda! Cue music;)
Dive 13 - Cozumel, Mexico

One of our last dives today started with the deepest dive for me yet. Yep 97 feet with skyscraper coral formations. I then experienced my first coral cave penetration with tight corners and all kinds of crazy plant and aquatic life.
Dive 12 - Cozumel, Mexico

A night dive! Like being on the moon. Kristin and I had a blast exploring the coral reefs and creatures using our lights. At some point we lost our group. We had been with a different group apparently and we then realized what had happened. We could see our boat from the surface as the DM inflated a glowing scuba sock at the surface. As we waited at our safety stop Kristin spotted a decorator crab. It was huge and cartoon like!

A twilight dive! The colors were much different than I imagined they would be. So many cool creatures and colorful coral.
Dive 10 - Cozumel, Mexico

This dive was filled with spiny lobster, decorator crab and the list goes on... Including a Jaba the Hut sized eel!
Dive 9 - Cozumel, Mexico
Max Depth: 65 Feet Bottom Time: 50 Minutes Visibility: 100 feet Weight: 12 and then 14 lb.
Our first morning dive we saw nurse sharks! I tried diving with lighter weight and ended up having to swim rapidly down to the DM so he could shove some weight back in. It was a struggle to swim down but I made it.
Dive 8 - Cozumel, Mexico
Max Depth: 25 Feet Bottom Time: 30 Minutes Visibility: 20 feet Weight: 14 lb.
Tonight a shore dive to test out our lights. We plan on getting in on one of the night dives tomorrow night! We saw all kinds of cool fish including sea anemone, urchins, and stingray.

My first set of oceanic boat dives in cozumel today was amazing. I am so thankful my fiancee encouraged and introduced me to diving. The reefs today were amazing filled with giant lobsters, crabs, sea horse, grouper, tube and bowl coral and all kinds of huge schools of fish!
