'work hard in silence. let success make the noise'
weâve been having a real mix of autumn mornings recently, some beautiful crisp sunny mornings where the sun shines through the golden leaves; and some where the leaves are mushed on the ground and the rain falls constantly for days on end.
happy tuesday đ big assignments are starting this week and i have a lot to catch up with by friday - but I have coffee and positivity so I know I can get it done âď¸ ig: little_tasks
Just working on some writing a little bit aimlessly, thinking a lot about time, about edges, about art and form. Do you ever feel like a few things on your mind might be connected but canât yet see how?
october 25th 2019 â day 22/100 days of productivity: i didnât post my progress with the 100 days of productivity but iâve tried to stick to it and even took pictures of my study sessions. iâll have to post them sometime. anyway, today i studied literature and started working on an essay âitâs been two years since i last wrote an essay and iâm glad to be back at it. now iâm done working for the day so iâm gonna sit on the couch and read the secret commonwealth *.* i hope yâall have a lovely day!!
Itâs been a looooong week but Iâm finally done with all my tests and ready for the weekend. I finally feel like Iâm back into the swing of studying and being productive which is a good feeling. I also got my the grade for my test from Tuesday back and I made a 99%! Just missed one pesky true or false question...
student self-care: but not necessarily the feel-good kind edition
1. what have you been procrastinating on? afraid to do? make a list. put it on your google calendar. be very honest with yourself. put every single task you have to do, schedule it, block out your calendar if you have to. itâll help you in the long run even if itâs scary at first.Â
2. sort the loose papers settled at the bottom of your backpack. donât risk losing precious class notes or syllabi or readings. use folders to classify them by subject. label them clearly. sort them by chronological order and label what class and what part of the syllabus theyâre from. youâll thank me during exam season.
3. evaluate your finances. have a way of keeping track of them. personally, i tend to spend a lot on food and coffee when iâm stressed. make a budget and stick to it.Â
4. if youâre struggling in a certain subject, make some time for it. i know itâs painful and easier to procrastinate, but make time. set a certain quota of pages to read. email your professor for help and consult if you have to.Â
5. eating healthy isnât necessarily eating delicious. i know everyone posts their croissants and lattes and cakes (guilty) but eat that salad, eat your vegetables, eat a balanced diet. itâs brain food and itâll sustain you and help you focus better.
6. take the time to really care for yourself. make it a routine. take daily walks, count the glasses of water you have, make sure to shower regularly. do your laundry and clean your room. take your medication regularly, schedule doctorâs appointments if you need to. your health is much more important than school, and your wellbeing will help your performance.
7. sleep is good. regular sleep is good and necessary. but know when you have to sacrifice a little sleep to get things some very hard things done. then sleep after.Â
self-care isnât always pretty. sometimes itâs about being disciplined and confronting what youâre afraid of. but it will make things easier and lighter for you in the long run. just one day at a time.Â
sometimes I find working from home a little distressing, being trapped with my thoughts and not a single soul. nothing frightens me more than my own mind.
Even tho I am physically incapable of getting anything productive done in my room itâs still cute!! Coming off a rough genetics midterm last night (material was fair, my dumb ass just didnât study) and heading to the library this afternoon to pump out my photojournalism essay thatâs due tomorrow. Crazy this sem is almost over whew
