Kelli chuckled as she hooked her feet around the metal bars of the railing. “Just remember I can dish out as much as you give,” she joked before growing serious.”I’m sorry I didn’t tell you guys about Cal following me, it’s why I left. I’m glad you talked me out of going alone cause I’d probably be on an operating table getting cut open again.” She shuddered and traced her scars with her fingers.
"But you!" She looked up at him with a sudden but not too strong anger in her eyes. "I don’t care how heroic or even smart that stunt was, you scared me. I thought I wasn’t going to see you again."She jumped down and fell into the seat next to him before hitting him in the arm. "Don’t make a habit of it or I might have to start adding some heat to it," she warned before all her anger melted away and she just relaxed next to him. "So how do you like the outlaw life?"
"Of course you can," Spencer said with an incredulous snort, pretending as if he didn't believe Kelli. Although, he knew that she probably wasn't bluffing. He smiled small. "It's fine. I totally get it. You didn't want to worry us. I probably would have done the same thing, to be quite honest."
His eyes went wide and his whole body tensed when Kelli's demeanor changed, suddenly becoming angry at him. He blinked at her, taking in her words, and when she was done, his brow slowly arched. "I knew what I was doing," he grumbled with a little smirk as the redhead took a seat next to him. Spencer shrugged his shoulders in response. "Eh, it's nothing new, really. I was kinda already living a sort of outlaw life."
