I've done several pieces of Brightheart over the years, going all the way back into 2010, and it's been a fun way to keep track of my progress as an artist

I do like the amount of colour in the 2021 a bit better with the fall leaves in the background and I'm not sure if zooming out from the characters as much as I did was 100% the right choice (also this mistake recent piece is the first time I've used Clip Studio for rendering instead of SAI) but I am happy with the most recent piece

Brightheart being against Moonpaw being the two-faced cat because she's also been harshly judged for her face is expected, but I'll be honest, wc putting forth the idea that she doubts the prophecy itself because Bluestar was the one to deliver it is character nuance I didn't think warriors could do! Because, yeah, we've known Bluestar as a starclan cat for ages now, but Brightheart grew up watching the wise old leader grow hateful and mistrustful and then give her a horrible name. She never got closure the way Fireheart did with Bluestar and would have had no reason to change an unfavorable mental image of her. It might be too early to call but book 3 might also be good
