Um I’m currently on mobile… I can’t log into this account on my laptop anymore because I can’t get onto my old email address anymore to change the password.
So basically… I can’t be on this account to RP anymore which is absolutely gutting.
the problem with making sacrifices for others around you — no matter if you’re related to them, or not — is that you tend to only build a shell of your own and pretend that it’s stable enough to handle anything. caleb believed that his could, but with the constant frustration practically drowning him, he’s beginning to have trouble breathing and convincing himself that he’s okay. he looks alright on the outside, but his features are beginning to go stoic as he stares at noah, listening closely to the way his voice raises, then drops ; listens to every pitch of it. it’s not until words are coming out harsher than they had been before that it’s beginning to draw emotion out of him. it’s caleb’s pride that has him still staring at the other, while he tried to remain absolutely silent instead of turning away to hide how his eyes were beginning to well with tears. his arms held onto his body tighter, as if he were trying to physically hold himself together, but his bottom lip is starting to quiver. with a gamble, he began to mutter, ❝ don’t— ❞ but he closed his mouth again and dropped his gaze a little bit. caleb remained silent for a moment, trying to recompose himself before he attempted to speak again, ❝ you shouldn’t say shit like that. ❞
noah was aware of how harsh his words could sound at times. when he was angry or frustrated, he simply had no FILTER and his words just came out before he could think about the impact that they might have. noah is taken aback when he hears the emotion in caleb’s voice and he realises that once again, he had FUCKED UP. he was a fuck up. he had upset caleb when he didn’t mean to. he was literally a d i s a s t e r. it was no wonder that he had always chosen to be alone. he was TOXIC. he steps forward and after a brief moment of hesitation, he slips his arms around the other male. ❝ i’m sorry. ❞ he wasn’t sure how many times he had already said that to caleb but he was. he was sorry for EVERYTHING. ❝ i’m not angry at you. i’m angry at myself. i’m the problem here. i’m sorry that i fucked everything up for your relationship. i’m sorry that i’m continuing to fuck everything up right now. god, i sound like such a loser right now. just don’t HATE me for all this, okay??❞ the last part sounded almost like a plea. noah wasn’t sure if he could deal with caleb hating him. the thought of it hurt even more than the thought of his best friend hating him after noah was to finally tell him the truth about the whole situation.

noah gave her a confused look when she asked him what it said and it was only then he realised that she mustn’t have been able to see and that made him feel EMBARRASSED for not having realised. he sighed at her response, and nodded his head before realising that she couldn’t see him. ❝ emilia, ❞ he responded, looking down at the name of his wrist. ❝ it’s probably not you. don’t worry about it. i’m sure that there is a MUCH better noah out there for you that is your actual soulmate. ❞ honestly, she seemed like too good a person to be HIS. he wasn’t a good person. it wasn’t that he didn’t want to be or that he didn’t try to be. he just WASN’T. t r o u b le seemed to be forever following him around and there didn’t seem to be like much he could do to stop it.

summer had gotten to that point where she’d hoped she would never meet her soulmate. then she’d feel obligated to be around him all the time, and that was the last thing she ever wanted. finding her soulmate just ruined everything she knew about herself and her life. “how the fuck would i know? my foster parents never told me about this,” summer grumbled in response, pulling her arm out of his grasp and crossing both over her chest. she looked away from noah as he spoke, eyebrows raising slightly when he said he wanted to run. it was weirdly reassuring that he was freaking out, too. “fine, run. honestly, i don’t care. i never wanted to find you, so go.” summer shrugged and turned to leave, assuming that was the end of that.
noah turned to leave too. perfect. she wasn’t bothered either. something stopped him from leaving though and he wasn’t sure what. he groaned at himself as he spun back around instead of leaving. “you’re my soulmate. i’ll buy you a drink and then i won’t feel so guilty when we never see each other again.” he mumbled, not giving her a chance to disagree because he was holding onto her hand and leading her towards the bar. “neither of us want this. but apparently i’m destined to be with you and if that’s not going to happen, a drink is the least that we owe each other.”

this whole soulmates thing was pretty much bullshit. pretty much no one had loved her in her life, and summer was supposed to believe there was one person destined to do so? a s i f. she’d been fine being alone her entire life, so searching for “the one” had never been appealing to her. summer had other small tattoos on her arm, so that simple “noah” placed on the inside of her wrist was easy to ignore. until some total stranger was pointing it out to her. she’d already mumbled an apology and was ready to go on her way, but this guy apparently had other plans. he sounded terrified, and it amused summer until she looked down at his wrist and saw her name scrawled there. f u c k. “uh…” summer stared, dumbfounded, for a moment. “would you like me to lie?”
noah wondered if he could run. was that bad?? the only slight relief he felt was when he saw that she looked as freaked out about it all as she did. “shit,” he mumbled, unsure of what he was supposed to say to his soulmate. “this is fucking awkward. isn’t there supposed to be like a SPARK or something?? all i’m feeling right now is the desire to run. no offense to you or anything. you’re gorgeous. i just... relationships are not my thing and soulmates... that’s fucking intense.” he said, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. he should feel l u c k y to have found his soulmate. so many people wanted to meet theirs and some never did. he just wasn’t ready.
❝ that’s RICH , ❞ he scoffed, arms crossing in front of his chest as if he was protecting himself from being knocked down after the other swore at him. ❝ you’re just like the REST of them aren’t you? the only DIFFERENCE is you’re throwing a fit without even PAYING first. ❞ caleb doesn’t mention his line of work often, but he’s trying to defend himself the best that he can, & at the moment, he can’t stop himself from speaking quickly to do so. ❝ you’re going to tell me that you - what, like me? then blame it on me when I’M the one that should be ripping YOUR fuckin’ head off for ruining something I was ACTUALLY trying to keep together? ❞ with frustration slowly building, he can’t help but raise his fingers to his temples to try and ease it a little bit. it took a moment before he was finally calm enough to continue, ❝ what do you actually WANT from me? do you want to know me? or do you jus’ want somebody to come home to fuck at the end of the day? do you even know ANYTHING about me aside from what he’s told you? ❞ he has more questions coming forth once he started them, but he’s holding his tongue. even when noah seemed to be having a hard time looking at him, caleb had absolutely no problems staring him dead on.
noah doesn’t even know how to respond anymore. he was caught off guard by caleb’s comment about paying him first but it didn’t take him long to put two and two together. his friend had said that caleb was busy A LOT and that he had no idea what his job was. now noah knew. he was OFFENDED that caleb was comparing him to any of his... clients. ❝ i’m not blaming anything on you. i’m well aware that this is MY fault. i’m not fucking stupid. ❞ he’s frustrated now too but he has no right to be. he’s just ANGRY with himself because he couldn’t even answer caleb’s questions. he didn’t know what he wanted. ❝ i said i would fucking fix it, didn’t i?? i’ll fix it and you can hold on to your fucking relationship and i’m NOTHING like your clients. i know nothing about you but i WANTED to. ❞ he’s not thinking before he speaks. not filtering his words so they probably sounded more h a r s h than he wanted them to. ❝ i know nothing about you. you know nothing about me. you have NO IDEA how weird this is for me because i don’t care for people. especially not people i barely know. but i fucking care about you and i don’t know why i do. ❞
