I really need your help

Hey guys, So, I’m in need of help. You see, I left my parents’ house and moved halfway across the country to get away from the mental abuse I was experiencing. I did it quickly, so I didn’t get much of a choice in apartments. Now, however, I’m in a pretty bad spot. My landlord is awful, and I simply cannot be in this environment anymore. Security Update and Password Reset

The security of your information is critically important to us, so we’re really sorry to share that a portion of our North American account information was recently compromised.

What we know: usernames, email addresses, salted password hashes, and some first and last names were accessed. This means that the password files are unreadable, but players with easily guessable passwords are vulnerable to account theft.

Additionally, we are investigating that approximately 120,000 transaction records from 2011 that contained hashed and salted credit card numbers have been accessed. The payment system involved with these records hasn't been used since July of 2011, and this type of payment card information hasn't been collected in any Riot systems since then. We are taking appropriate action to notify and safeguard affected players. We will be contacting these players via the email addresses currently associated with their accounts to alert them. Our investigation is ongoing and we will take all necessary steps to protect players.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to consult the player support knowledge base or reach out to player support directly.

As a measure to make your accounts safer, within the next 24 hours we’ll require players with accounts in North America to change their passwords to stronger ones that are much harder to guess. At such time, you’ll be automatically prompted to change your password when you attempt to log in to the game. If you’d prefer, please click here to change your password now.

Additionally, new security features that are currently in development include:

Email verification: all new registrations and account changes will need to be associated with a valid email address (we’ll also require all existing players to provide a valid email address).

Two-factor authentication: changes to account email or password will require verification via email or mobile SMS.

We’re sincerely sorry about this situation. We apologize for the inconvenience and will continue to focus on account security going forward.

A New Spectator Yi (Teamfight UI)

Hey PBE-ers,

We're testing a new UI mode for Spectator mode and would love your feedback. We're calling this mode theTeamfight UI. The overall goal of this mode is to provide a great viewing experience during large team fights.

Our specific goals:

Minimize and concentrate the UI so it's easier to focus on the action during team fights.

Optimize the display of battle information: Who is involved in the fight? Who's winning? How many people have died on either team?

  Let's take a closer look. In this screenshot we can see:

Team health bars help viewers track the momentum of fights, and register the power of AoE damage and heals.

Loss of control icons help viewers track powerful status effects--if Malphite's ult hits all 5 of the enemy team, it's easy to see.

Kill counter tracks each champion's progress towards the elusive pentakill

Ult / Summoner spells are easily viewable for both teams in a central location

Dead champions have the familiar death timer

  Not every champion is always there when a fight breaks out. The team fight UI helps you understand who's in the thick of battle:

Near champions like Caitlyn are represented with bright character portraits. Near champions are on-screen champions and other champions we identify as being involved in the team fight.

Far champions like Renekton have darker portraits

Team healthbars reflect the health of both near (bright) and far (dark) champions.

You can help test this feature by spectating matches on PBE. While the UI mode is intended for use during team fights, it should work correctly all the time (like all other Spectator UI modes). To engage the team fight UI, press 'a' while spectating.

4-Man Premades - Why I hate them (Also, should they be changed?)

So, I have been playing League quite a bit lately (mainly due to me enjoying Blue Ezreal, I find him to be fun), but I have run into an extreme problem as of late. This problem, being 4-man premades.  Now, normally, I don't have a problem filling roles. However, I am a terrible jungler, and I just cannot play that role for whatever reason (I am bronze for a reason). So, when I get into a 4-man premade who demands I go jungle or they will report, I inform them that I am a terrible jungler and that I WILL fail. They normally ignore me, or they say that they will report for feeding then. The thing is, because there are 4 reports, these add up.  Now, I have never been banned or even warned, but I am worried that if I keep getting matched with these 4-man premades, that I will end up getting warned and/or banned.  I have two possible solutions to fix this problem that I know other people have faced. The first is lowering the value of reports made by a 4-man premade. This will provide a buffer for those who get reported simply because the rest of the team is premade and doesn't like the singled out person. The second solution is just banning 4-man premades. Now, this will make it harder for a group of friends to play with each other, but it will also SEVERELY cut down on report abuse by these 4-man premades.  Either of these solutions will help the problem, but I personally would prefer the first option as I do play with 3 other people, but I almost never report in that situation because I know how I feel when a team gangs up on me. But, what do you guys think? What should be done about 4-man premade report abuse.

I know everyone’s itching to get their hands on Lucian so you can wreck face with him, but he’s not gonna be going live with this patch. We’d like to keep him on PBE for some additional testing and analysis. There’s still a little work to finish before he’s ready for prime time.

Lissandra Revealed!

Lissandra is a flexible, mana-efficient mage with abilities that emphasize crowd control, kiting and mobility over raw damage. Abilities

Iceborn (Passive): After a brief cooldown, Lissandra's next ability costs no mana. Hitting an enemy with movement impairing abilities reduces Iceborn's cooldown.

Ice Shard: Lissandra throws a spear of ice that shatters on contact with the first enemy struck, dealing damage and slowing their movement speed for a short duration. Enemies behind the struck target also take damage.

Ring of Frost: Lissandra freezes the area around her, dealing damage to nearby enemies and rooting them for a short duration.

Glacial Path: Lissandra casts a slow-moving, long-range ice claw in a line, dealing damage to all enemies in its path. Re-activating Glacial Path teleports Lissandra to the claw's current location.

Frozen Tomb (Ultimate):

On enemy cast: Lissandra freezes an enemy champion, damaging and stunning them briefly. Dark Ice emanates from the target, dealing damage and slowing nearby enemies.

On self-cast: Lissandra encases herself in ice, rooting herself in place briefly and becoming untargetable and invulnerable. Dark Ice emanates from Lissandra, dealing damage and slowing nearby enemies.

Karma's New Kit

  Passive: Gathering Fire Damage from Karma’s spells and basic attacks lower Mantra’s cooldown.

  R: Mantra

Empowers Karma’s abilities, adding an extra effect to the next ability cast.

  Q: Inner Flame Skillshot that deals magic damage and slows enemies.

Empowered by Mantra: Soulflare – Increases damage and leaves behind a zone that slows and, after a brief delay, explodes for AoE damage.

    W: Focused Resolve  Enemy-targeted tether that deals damage over time. If the tether is unbroken after a short duration, the tethered target is rooted in place.

Empowered by Mantra: Renewal – Deals bonus damage and heals Karma for the duration of the tether.

  E: Inspire  Shields an ally and grants them a short speed boost.

Empowered by Mantra: Defiance – Enemies near the shielded ally are damaged while nearby allies are shielded and granted a short speed boost.

And apparently Zac doesn't use mana, so do you think he's a health champ or just CD?

I am willing to bet that it will be cooldown. Based on how strong his kit looks, a high CD would make sense.

Zac, The Secret Weapon, Revealed

    Abilities

Cell Division (Passive): When any of Zac’s abilities hit an enemy, a piece of him falls to the ground. Zac can pick up fallen pieces to recover health. When Zac dies he splits into four blobs. These fragments will attempt to reform over a short duration. If any survive, Zac revives with a percentage of his maximum health based on the number of remaining blobs.

Stretching Strike: Zac throws a two-handed punch that deals damage and slows targets in a line.

Unstable Matter: Zac’s body explodes outward, dealing flat damage to surrounding enemies. Enemies struck also take damage based on their maximum health.

Elastic Slingshot: Zac is immobilized as he charges up a dash toward the target location. The range of Elastic Slingshot increases up to a cap as Zac charges the ability. Zac then fires himself towards the target location, damaging and stunning all nearby enemies upon landing.

Let’s Bounce: Zac bounces into the air, immediately knocking up, slowing and damaging nearby enemies. Once airborne, he bounces three times, dealing damage with each impact.

My Current Challenge For Myself - What do you think?

I know that I don't post a lot of what I am doing when it comes to LoL, so I thought I would share what my current challenge for myself is. I hear a lot that the recommended items for the champions are pretty bad and people are discouraging people from using them. So, I am going to play every champion I own (in alphabetical order), and use ONLY their recommended items. I will be playing on normals only and recording my stats on a Google Doc.

So far, I have only played three of the champs I own, but I will be playing two-three games a day, and updating the aforementioned document with my results along with any notes I may have (for example, I noted that I played Amumu in a support role). Wish me luck fellow summoners! idkai

Riot updated some item recommendation files in the 3/6 PBE Update. Both Zac (Possibly the slime champ) and LISSANDRA are listed there.

Two new champs being added to game files, one possibly being a newly announced slime champion.
