TeamWorks is offering Gordon Head Baseball hoodies, dri-fit t-shirts, pullovers & more this year! Samples & sizes will be available to see from 8:30 – noon on Sunday February 22nd at the Ian Stewart field house.

This time is set to coincide with one of the dates for Mosquito & Peewee Assessments but everyone is welcome to come and have a look and make an order if you wish.

The next chance for to see the samples will be at Photo Day (in May) or you can go to the TeamWorks store or order by phone. You can look great in your team’s logo and all items from the attached flyer earn a 10% credit for Gordon Head’s 2015 purchases.

Volunteers Needed!

Parent/Guardian Volunteers

We are a completely volunteer run association and there are lots of ways for you to help out on & off the field. We need all families to contribute volunteer hours for GHLPBA. It takes a village of busy parents to make a successful season. Coaching, scorekeeping, team manager, field prep, field take down, and all the other things required to play ball!

Initiation Needs a Coordinator before their season can begin

If your player is born in 2008 or 2009 -- our T-Ball/Initiation level, please consider stepping forward as the Initiation Division Coordinator. You’ll get lots of support!

Uniform Coordinator

This is a great volunteer role for people who maybe cannot help out on the field.

Assessment Dates

Assessments are required for ALL players born in:

2004- 2005 (Mosquito)

2002 - 2003 (Peewee)

2000 – 2001 (Bantam)

These formal assessments at the Peewee and Mosquito level are conducted in order to meet the Greater Victoria Baseball Association requirement to evenly balance our teams and to select the Prospects team. Assessments will also be held for Bantam A/AA selection purposes. All Assessments will be held at the UVic Ian Stewart Complex Field House on Gordon Head Road.

Players to attend one session only. 2015 Mosquito Assessments will be held: Feb 16 Monday 5:30pm to 7pm - OR - Feb 22 Sunday 8:30am to 10am 2015 Peewee Assessments will be held: Feb 17 Tuesday 7:30pm to 9pm - OR - Feb 22 Sunday 10am to 12pm 2015 Bantam Assessments will be held: Feb 24 Tuesday 7:30pm to 9pm

We are happy to offer payment on-line again this year for registration. A cheque option is also available.

Please do NOT include a uniform deposit with your registration fees.

Uniform deposits will be collected at the team level when the uniforms are handed out.

***Please note the assessment dates on the website are stuck at the 2014 dates. Please make sure you are using the 2015 dates (next post) and in the email you receive to confirm your registration.

***The days of the week and times for the younger age groups have to be confirmed for 2015.

Mosquito and older play at different parks and various days of the week from early April through June. Practices are also set at the team level and can vary week to week.

Registrations received after Assessments for Mosquito, Peewee & Bantam will be considered, but cannot be guaranteed. For other age groups the registration deadline is February 28. Late registrations will be accepted but cannot be guaranteed. We want all kids to play ball, so register as early as you can.

Winter Baseball Clinics

Gordon Head @ Lambrick Park Baseball Association is pleased to be able to offer our members 3 of our own Winter Baseball Clinics. The clinics are for 2015 Mosquito, Peewee and Bantam age players (birth years 2000 – 2005). It’s a great deal at $10 per clinic per player which will be run by Triple A Sports Consultants – Mitch & Jason, the Greater Victoria Baseball Association technical directors. We plan on more player & coach development for older & younger players as well as the season gears up.

GHLPBA players are welcome to attend 1, 2 or 3 clinics but you must email Donna Salahor to confirm a spot.

Payment will be taken at each clinic. Cash or cheque only.

Dates & Times -- all are at the UVic Ian Stewart Fieldhouse on Gordon Head Road (Racquet Club)

Wednesday February 11th from 5:30-7pm

Sunday February 15th from 11:30am-1pm

Monday February 23rd from 5:30-7pm

2013 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Tuesday November 19th at 7pm Wilf Sadler Mosquito Clubhouse

The Gordon Head at Lambrick Park Baseball Association hereby notifies all members of the Annual General Meeting for 2013 that will be on Tuesday November 19th at 7pm, at the GHBA Clubhouse located at the Wilf Sadler Mosquito diamond. All members in good standing of GHLPBA are invited to attend. Members are all parents who had children registered on a Spring or Fall season team in 2013, registered coaches of Gordon Head at Lambrick Park Baseball teams, and all members on the Executive Committee. Election of officers will take place at the meeting.

Pizza and Beverages will be provided. Come on out & learn more about what’s going on with your Association.
