Jute workers are regularly exposed to jute dust and risk lung damage. It is estimated that occupational exposure to airborne particulates accounts for 12% of all chronic obstructive pulmonary disease deaths.

Therefore, when the Sarda group finalized plans to establish an instructional hub for inexperienced jute labor in 2018, they decided to train workers to improve their employability in the jute industry through cutting-edge preparation in jute production and shop floor procedures and shop floor applications. In this, the Sarda Group of Industries launched a project to assist jute workers in taking care of their health.
