“You were made to be kissed, often and well.” -
George R.R. Martin, A Storm of Swords
One day, we will tell our children of when the world went dark, when the trains stopped, and the plane crashed.
One day, we will tell our children of when our economy collapsed, when all we did was stay inside.
One day, we will tell our children of a microscopic war fought in macro scale.
One day, we will tell our children of a pandemic across the globe, when the world closed its doors and no one walked the roads.
One day, we will tell these to our children, but instead of stories of breached protocols and front liners lacking in weapons, instead of stories of a president’s bumbling words and men armed to skin and bones despite the fact that they’re not the one at war zone, instead of all these stories, we will tell a story of hope.
We will tell the story of brave men and women who took the call despite the lack of weapons, despite the lack of manpower to be the first and last stand against an enemy we can’t see at all.
We will tell the story of when we sang songs to bring a little piece of joy to such a hopeless world.
We will tell the story of open arms to carry those who can’t carry themselves, the story of watching each other’s back by giving as much as we can, despite our own lack.
One day, we will tell our children of when the world closed its doors and when no one walked the roads, but instead of a story of loss, we will tell the story of hope - a story of tomorrow.
One day, we will tell our children a story of hope, and how we played our role; what story will you tell when they ask you what you did to make up the story of hope?
One day || calg
sadness consumed me,
i had nobody,
they say we've billions of people on earth,
yet i had none.
now am all empty inside,
there is a deep void,
whatever i had within,
someone came, he took it all away;
all the love and light is gone now,
i am replaced by someone else in their lives,
they don't even have time to look back and see if my poor soul is alive..

“He’s more myself than I am. Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same.”
— Emily Brontë (via bnmxfld)
“There are too many books I haven’t read, too many places I haven’t seen, too many memories I haven’t kept long enough.”
— Irwin Shaw (via quotemadness)
“Some people care too much. I think it’s called love.”
— A.A. Milne (via quotemadness)
“I want to infect you with the tremendous excitement of living, because I believe that you have the strength to bear it.”
— Tennessee Williams (via quotemadness)
“you should stop treating love like it’s science or an equation to figure out. you’ll be mad by the end of it. here’s what you need to know: (i) it’s not perfect, (ii) most of the time it’s not beautiful, (iii) most times it’s not returned, no matter how much you give in advance. (iv) it grows (v) and it dies like any living creature. (vi) it requires changes, sacrifices, affirmations. (vii) not to be followed blindly.”
