I think you should just tell him, babe.

3 + fluff: “Have you seen my hoodie?” “Nooo.” “You’re wearing it, aren’t you?”

He’d rummaged through his suitcases and his duffel bag, but Luke hadn’t been able to find his hoodie anywhere. Granted, it was a band hoodie and he could just grab another one off the merch table at their show later on that night, but he wanted his. The one that smelt like his laundry detergent and cologne and not like plastic and wrapping and whatever else the brand new clothing at the merchandise stalls smelled like.

Luke could’ve sworn he had packed it before he left, so the fact that it disappeared had him standing in the middle of his hotel room with a frown drawing his eyebrows together and a pout puckering his lips. As a last resort, he grabbed his phone and FaceTimed you, hoping that maybe you’d look through your shared home and confirm that he maybe forgot it instead of actually lost it during travel.

“Hey, pal,” you answered, and Luke smiled at the soft sound of his girlfriend’s voice through his phone.

He’d barely glanced at the screen, phone resting on the bed, deciding last minute to sift through his suitcase once more in hopes of finding his beloved hoodie underneath everything. “Hey, love,” Luke responded, pushing aside clothes. “Have you seen my hoodie? Y’know, the black 5SOS3 one? I thought I packed it but I can’t find it in my bags.”

“Uh. Nooo.”

The sheepish, not-so-innocent tone you spoke in had Luke pausing, straightening with a furrow between his brows as his eyes darted to his phone. Picking it up, he looked at the screen and raised an eyebrow when he saw that you were not so discreetly refusing to show any part of yourself except for your eyes. Luke’s own narrowed curiously, head tilting. Even through a video call, Luke could tell just by looking at your eyes that you were failing to hide behind your lie.

He stopped, a huff of a chuckle escaping him as he asked knowingly, “You’re wearing it, aren’t you?”

“I’m sorry,” you apologized with a guilty laugh, moving the camera to finally show yourself and, as expected, Luke’s black hoodie that you were wearing which only had your body swimming in the extra large material. The sight only had Luke pulling his lower lip into his mouth, an amused laugh escaping him as he gave a shake of his head. “I pulled it out of your suitcase before you left. You know I love this hoodie.”

Luke snorted, sitting down on the edge of the bed as he shot you a look through the phone. “Yeah, I love that hoodie too, you dork.”

“Listen,” you grinned, sitting up. “You took all of my favorite shirts of yours. You owe me this hoodie.”

That only made Luke laugh more, utterly amused at your statement as he took a look at you once more. The sight of you sitting comfortably on the couch of your home, wearing his hoodie and looking utterly adorable had Luke’s desire for his clothing item melting away. Now, all he wanted was you, and he was counting down the days until he got to see you again.

And steal his hoodie back.
