Before white people decided to use the pejorative “Karen” despite being a bunch of Karens, Beckys, Tims, and Chads, we had so much momentum in destroying businesses run by bigots. Now white women are calling people of color Karens for speaking up for themselves. There were so many examples of waiters ignoring Black customers assuming they won’t tip, auto shops and car dealerships trying to take advantage of women on the assumption that they know nothing of cars, and bakeries refusing to make cakes for gay weddings. We don’t talk about these things anymore. Why? Because somehow y’all took a term that meant RACIST and made it into “a tough customer”. This is why we never get anywhere as a society.
