This is a system blog run by the Ghost and Machine system. Our collective pronouns are he/him. This is a newer blog for us in general, but Cinder’s been on tumblr since roughly 2012 elsewhere.

Some horrid noise tore me from the dream I got while napping and as soon as I did the dream left my mind in its entirety. I’m so distressed by this.

Positive note. I get to spend who knows how long doing set up for our tech devices that got fucked over by random updates and changes. :D

I knew my boss would be pissy this morning that we didn’t cut any hours over the weekend but I honestly don’t give a shit?

Like. The expectations we’ve been given are so unrealistic it’s insane and she’s been told not to worry about it so much wrt hours used by her boss and yet

“We’re going to have to cut hours all week.”

Okay cool. We’re still going to be fucked over! It doesn’t matter. Let us fail that metric again few times. Otherwise this shitstorm of a company won’t understand we can’t do this!

Had a dream I had to speak French to get a group of guys to stop hitting on me and my partner as we were about to leave a mall. And my partner, as we drove away, said something like, “you just had to speak French didn’t you?”

And I was like, “yeah. Otherwise they’d still be harassing us.”

The French I said was like, “Je ne me souviens pas des visages.” I also definitely remember clearly thinking of what phrase to say to these guys (one had asked in French how we’d recognize them again) and I have no idea if it’s actually saying what I dreamt I wanted to say: “I don’t remember faces”

But yeah that was apparently enough to make this group of guys back off.

Also, we were leaving the mall through a massive Schuler Books & Music. (I remember cursing the name of the shop as I left and I honestly don’t know why. I was treating it like it was a Barnes & noble I guess?)

As the resident bitch boy (affectionate) I get to complain about this fuckass pain located literally on like one rib on the right side that’s been going on for a few days. Don’t know what happened because we sure as hell haven’t bashed our chest into anything and nothing we’ve done has been out of the ordinary.

But it hurts so much. The pain throbs and it’s sometimes timed with when we breathe but not always. I hate it. I want it to stop hurting already.

This has been a feeling that’s been persistent for a while now and I’m vocalizing it. I wonder what’s drawing us toward that series?

Bought a wedge pillow while on break today. Felt like I needed one.

Of course we got the purple one because Spanner came toward front and said it had to be that one.

So, I’m doing some writing of a scene between Minami and Zero, right? I get a spam call as I’m writing this and I send it to voicemail.

The autogenerated transcription preview it gave me was “Hi this is Zero.”

I’m just like…??? Is that real?

I listened to it and yep. The very clearly a bot voice declared its name to be Zero and he has a tax offer for me.
